The anti-sticker users that compare Kiwi Farms' sticker system to Reddit are sub ~80 IQ niggers. They're completely different in their functionality and purpose.

Reiterating what's been said, removing the reaction ratings doesn't solve the problem of gamification. The existence of Highlights further encourages gamification even without the reaction alerts, since it does exactly what reactions do: bringing attention to a post.

I'm just waiting to see what changes next now.

Turned my notifications off the second day posting in the Chantal thread. It used to move so fast that stickers were the best way to mark your reading place in the thread.

Especially when the thread got featured and there were 6 pages of posts by the time you read one post. (BP ladies at times can be a little more verbose than needed. Wouldn't have it any other way <3. )

I get reaction posts alerts had an option to be off forever, and apparently some think you aren't a real kiwi farmer if it was on before (what?) but I truly see no reason to get rid of alerts at least being an option. I can still find them, its just objectively shittier.
I legit don't know whats going on with null, and admittedly I haven't been around long enough to know, but this seems like the kind of shit which will be rolled back and then not talked about.
Removing the score I don't entirely get either, but whatever, but no notifications is just a worse UI.
And don't tell me about "back in my day we had sticker notifications off by choice". Yeah cool, you can CHOOSE that, but forcing it into this gay half baked ui solution without an option for the old way is just dumb.

I think he should let people turn sticker notifications back on and every time they get a dumb rating their device plays an "OOF!" sound effect to demoralise them further.

Lol, fuck the weird ass DM chains, I've been invited to a few and just immediately left. Didn't realize it was a chronic autism problem though.

No idea what the fucks going on with reacts and watched threads. Don't mind them being filtered outta notification feeds, since I can still check in that profile section but not seeing if someones a cratered score retard is a bit of a loss. Sometimes someone swings into a thread your a regular in as a tourist, and you can't tell at first pass if they're just ignorant or being a deliberate retard, score helps figuring out if you should actually put the effort in to recap for them, or just call them a faggot who should read the thread.

The whole "How do I know if I said something retarded/wrong" thing isn't really a problem though, other farmers will more than happily quote you to call you a dumbass.

Both offer some level of risk and it all runs on trust and the honor system. You just gotta hope that the person you are DM-ing isnt just putting a façade to fuck you over.

The ideal way is to take it slow and safe for a couple of weeks ? Maybe?
