One of the main reasons why this is such a big issue is because people across the Sahel still practice bride price next to polygamy. This basically means you have to pay for the woman to marry her. It was indeed Nigeria and the group is called Boko Haram, which means "Western education is forbidden" (their official name is "Group of the People of Sunnah for Dawah and Jihad"). They're not only worse than ISIS—they're one of the most despicable groups to ever exist. The things they do to people are genuinely brutal. It's not just you: A personal lolcow of mine is in a 3 person relationship and when she decided to get legally married to one of them the third person was put in the cuck shed for the ceremony.
