There are no direct flights between CLT and HEL. AA also doesn't serve HEL whatsoever.

Why not? As I said in the post, there weren't any Finnair-operated flights flying from HEL nonstop to the US that would've been compatible with the last flight she took (unless she took an itinerary with extremely long layovers and/or one with more than 2 stops).
