Containment Random Chris Updates

He looks like an obese, autistic 70 year old woman.

Also, is he at a gym?
What bothers me is he's walking for 2 hours (lol) and not taking his clearly frustrated dogs for a walk. He's paying a gym membership to trot on a treadmill, when the money would be better spent on a leash and a coupler. He lives in the burbs of a not real city, but he's driving somewhere to walk on a treadmill, letting his dogs shit in his house.

The sad thing is that it would be even more effective.

But no, he does not want to pick up dog shit.

Anytime Fitness has a 7 day free trial so let's see if he's committed after a week.

This. Outside of his not very busy section of the neighborhood there are tons of walking trails. Of course, at this point those dogs are probably so incredibly unsocial they'd be a terror to try and walk. And I can honestly see Barb not wanting to allow the dogs out of the house because reasons.

He will if he tries to get into the womens changing rooms.

From a quick search it seems the Anytime Fitness locations people have rated tend to note there are not full locker room/shower facilities, just a changing room, bathroom and a single stall shower. So this happening may not hilariously come to pass. Not to mention I doubt Chris understands the concept of changing into workout clothes and showering (in public no less) afterwards. Heh, I bet he followed that "workout" session with a sweaty, stinky trip to McDonald's.

He's (probably) lying. Normal walking speed is around 3mph or 5km/h. 4mph is a very fast walk to a jog (more jog for peeps like Chris). He would be covering about 6ft/1.8m per stride (distance covered by "left" and "right" steps together) at 4mph. Assuming average-ish 30in/0.75m per step, he is taking more than two steps per second. Unless his fitness level has drastically changed since he "did" a "Parkay", I don't think this is possible.

Most gyms also limit cardio equipment time to 30-60 minutes for reasons of courtesy.

Yeah, there's no way Chris is speedwalking for 2 hours straight. This is the same guy who measures the weight of doghouses in tons; if he wasn't compulsively watching the clock, then his estimation skills would probably equate "walked until I'm tired" to "I walked for 2 hours, obviously, because that's how long i assume a fit young woman such as myself can walk". He might not even be doing it on purpose.

Not only that, but as runner, I personally find walking much more tiring on my ankles. I can run for hours but my feet really start getting sore if I walk long distances. I highly doubt Chris can walk for 2 hours straight without giving up.

It brings me no small amount of shame that I have to rate this "informative".

Yeah, I was thinking that, too. A 4 mph walk is a 15 minute mile, which is a pretty damn fast walk. Even 3 mph is a pretty brisk walk. Doing two hours of that would be pretty intense for most in shape people.
