Ok, there's enough feedback I think via the vote to understand how people feel about da DSP kahntent. This is apparently the most viewed thread on da farms and I'm only a relative newcomer so its really important to listen to what people actually want (and locking the thread was not an attempt to stomp on people's feet, it was just trying to make sure people gave their 2 cents about da future)

Based upon this I can't see any reason to really change the megathread, though there are some improvements I think we could all work on to make it a bit easier to browse/read deep into the DSP lore.

I can see that there is a place for certain separate threads to be made about important events in Phistory, such as his current emergency, speculation about certain thing (psychology) and so on. Having said that, there's probably very little point in restricting anything from being posted on this megathread. The other threads are just a better place to discuss 'events' that get discussed over some time period (like maybe a rule of thumb will be if something gets discussed for more than 10 pages then its worthy of its own thread).

To be clear there doesn't seem to be any point in creating a thread for every day that Phil makes a new video, rather people clearly want the megathread to stay, and there is perhaps a bit of demand/need to just have a few threads about constantly discussed aspects of Phil.

For starters:

• Improving the OP dramatically including:
  • A more detailed/thorough timeline including links to notable pages on this thread
  • A breakdown of thread pages based upon date (i.e. November 2017 = Page 1770-1780)
• Finding out if there is a maximum post/page limit on the current forum software (I'll ask Null about this)
• Improving creating a few more other threads in the DSP subforum
  • I don't personally think there is any demand or even need for like 1000 threads about Phil, but at least a few covering the biggest aspects of Phil would probably go a long way in improving things.

If we could all look at maybe agreeing on some points that are worthy of working towards, then that might go a long way in making any changes in line with what the majority of people want?

I think I'd like to see the megathread remain the place for DSP stuff and have separate threads for different people.

I think separate threads for DSP related stuff should only happen if the thread is going to get at lot of discussion unrelated to current YouTube/Twitch/Tweets/Instagram/forum he's doing.

the videos themselves are the most interesting part of him IMHO, not so much the discussion. "seeing is believing" and all that crap. i'd be willing to help compile/archive his more notorious/notable videos into a megathread, or perhaps just the OP to keep things simple. i don't know how cluttered that would be tho.

i also agree the megathread should stay, and that we don't need a ton of new threads. it's nice to have a little sub forum to collect our pigroach memorabilia, but it doesn't need to be like chris's where we create a new thread every time he farts. major individuals in his life, speculation surrounding very specific aspects of his life (the emergency, his financial situation, etc), maybe his instagram/twitter/social media, that kinda shit should be segregated.

Multiple threads in the subforum could also be used to bring up topics that won't derail discussion in the megathread; like I just thougjt of a "best moments of classic DSP" thread which would be a total derail of the discussion in there.

On the topic of BSV/King of Pol...

I don't fully understand the situation involving either of them and as such I'm not really inclined to get involved with mod duties involving those two, for what its worth I personally don't really see the harm in just letting them loose in one thread if people get to access their posts (for whatever good/bad that brings) and save the rest of the threads from being clogged up.

If you have moderation concerns about them I'd suggest contacting a mod.

Also considering I've had requests either directly or indirectly made at me, I'll make it clear that those will not have an affect.

AFAIK, It's related to SoK drama, @SirJamesDTech should be able to summarize it better than I can, given his role in the SoK disbanding. Vidar and Bryan have a personal blood feud that always stood apart from the SoK, other than Fred pushing Pol's buttons on numerous things.
Nothing is going to be resolved with those two. I've tried passing the peace pipe between them but the fires always get re-ignited.

Since they're both threadbanned from quite a few DSP threads, and so TKOH doesn't constantly get derailed, I would suggest creating a thread here in the DSP board called something to the effect of "The Bryan/BSV Thunderdome: Two Enter, Only One Leaves" and let them club the shit out of each other with other participants obviously allowed in to encourage the beautiful discourse. Any derailing of other threads by them are to be met swiftly with orders to take it to the Thunderdome.

threatening physical harm against a cow is looked down upon, since it leads no where and doesn't move the thread forward any
i don't think gaining a shitton of stickers auto bans you, so a mod/supervisor probably looked at your post and decided you weren't adding to the conversation
if you want to vent, i recommend your profile wall, it's very cathartic
