I wonder if this was them using one of those "anti-chud" bots that auto-bans you if it sees you post in The_Donald or KotakuInAction or the like?

I mod a small video game subreddit

Checks out because I don't know who else but a redditfag would havethis thread sucks because half of its regulars probably have Reddit accounts
That is some majorly heather blue t-shirt & GAP blue jeans 7 days a week, 14 tupperwares containing a skinless chicken breast, six potato wedges, and a scoop of boiled green peas, type behaviour.a couple loose benadryls you had in your nightstand drawer & a gram of Mexican brick weed you forgot about

Someone a few pages earlier complained that this thread sucks because half of its regulars probably have Reddit accounts. I didn't want to believe him. Most of all I didn't want to believe some of my faves could be... not only Redditors... but Reddit Mods...
I feel like this is very context dependent, tbh. There's a difference between a brand new account (or one just old enough to get through an account age filter) making a single post or small series of posts that seem obviously self-promoting, and a known user who's been on a sub for a significant length of time and contributed valuable content making a mistake by sharing a link to their print shop.So while the r/art mod was probably a 500 pound janny, he also probably wasn't entirely in the wrong. Reddit has a REALLY BAD problem with these types of bots.

C'mon now, there's a difference between being a janny and sitting in a pointless list to make sure a janny can't steal your buddy's forum.View attachment 8244923

Oh, the bots tend to not be completely new. There are several karma farming subreddits that the admins allow, that are just full of bots posting and upvoting and replying to each other with chatgpt speak. It's how they bypass the account age filter, the account updoots filter, etc.I feel like this is very context dependent, tbh. I guess what I'm saying is that I get the original decision to remove the link, but not the ensuing shit-fit. The mod in this incident had multiple opportunities to step back and question whether he was making the right decision in dealing with a very cooperative user, and opted instead to double down in a way that did substantially more damage than if he had just taken the minimal risk that he was dealing with an unusually dedicated spammer. If it's so difficult to moderate any particular sub that this sort of decision seems like the only viable option for dealing with spam, then the sub is one step away from being declared unmoderated anyway.
And just to put a nice bow on this whole story, here's hayden clay's tweets about it.>Only 63 had a valid reason for a ban
>The 5000+ bans were done by one person
This guy is such a weak crybaby, holy shit

And yet another post where a single comment gets a person banned. "Also you've been reported for harassment"

50% of the bans were done from "short comments", and a large share of it was people asking for socials/prints/etc. Wow...

how it started vs how it ended

How does it feel overthrowing a dictator with just the word print?
Feels great, but I couldn't have done it without the internets hatred of Reddit

5000+ bans is absolutely insane

Inshallah my brother soon we shall all be free from janny's tyranny.Update to the Reddit r/art print saga: a new moderation team of 20 moderators and one Reddit admin is taking over the subreddit! link (archive)

As it turns out, the powertripping r/art Reddit mods unjustly banned over 5000+ people THIS YEAR ALONE! Out of every r/art ban in this year, only 63 of them had a valid ban reasonlink (archive)

AI becoming racist every time we expose it to human behavior and people being upset about it never cease to amuse me.AI has the issue of the niggertron paradox. You either have AI that's functional and racist, or AI that is neither functional nor racist. If they train it based on reddit janny behavior, it will have random power trips and act like a completely unhinged piece of crap. If it is trained to only ban actually bad content, the left-wing hugbox explodes.
Recently reddit has gotten better at playing the cat and mouse game with that guy. He's a fucking menace. There's a specific type of bot that shows up on reddit, all the fucking time, to the point that most subreddits have a rule specifically about it.
They will post an image of a T-shirt.
Then they will, on another account, reply going "That's great looking, where can I get it?"
And the original bot will reply with a link to the user-submittable fly by night Chinese print shop selling shirts.
I've seen variants of this with art prints, AI art slop, and stolen porn fanart.
Bot posts an art image, either stolen from DA/FA/X/Tumblr/pixiv, reposted from the subreddit, or ai generated
Bot replies as another account going "that's great where can I get it as a print/poster/wallscroll " or "who is the artist / where can I find it / etc"
Original bot posts a link to a fly by night user-submittable print shop (redbubble, etsy, etc) or a shitty fake art gallery or deviantart/pixiv/twitter user page that further links to the print shop.
So while the r/art mod was probably a 500 pound janny, he also probably wasn't entirely in the wrong. Reddit has a REALLY BAD problem with these types of bots.
Wait till they find out how many lesbians are in law enforcement. But I do want to stress: all cops suck.
Retarded cunts like this are the reason repealing gay marriage will be on a ballot within the next 5 years.Well, gay and women's rights are always under attack. If your politics does not include that, it means you're ok with government taking away our rights as lesbians. Furthermore, politics extends far beyond what government/politicians do. Everything Ideology touches turns political.

Lol it used to be like that when I trolled Facebook groups ages ago.My favorite thing about reddit is how it shows that the majority of (especially young) people have little shame, no opsec and barely put any thought into how much information you can gather about them just based on their posting history.
Example:
A guy post a retarded pencil drawing on r/pokemon on lined school paper of a Pikachu. You immediately clock him as autistic and check out his profile. Might be funny.
His post history consists of him ranting about his never fulfilled desire to fuck the characters from cars, lamenting the size of his dick on a smalldickhelp subreddit, while also posting pictures of his micro on some small dick humilation reddit. He also posts on femboy / furry subreddits.
In between few boring memes about some other spergy videogames, some posts on the subreddit of his city, depressionposting. He also posts on r/teenagers which makes this entire ordeal even more questionable.
You just got more information than you would ever want about this Pikachu scribbling spastic. I don't know but this phenomenon fascinates me. Can't get that on any other website.
This sounds like some fetish shit. It has to be. It sounds like some horribly written hentai main protagonist dialogue. Gross nasty. What the fuck

This might be some form of autism I didn't know I had but look at the nail beds and how wide they are. Even if a woman who doesn't do fake nails, women's nails tend to be smaller and less round at the end.View attachment 8241995

This "masc lesbian" gives a girl a totally not creepy note because some guy said he would smash. I can't even imagine the level of fucking weirded out I would be.
