"Huhh...huhh...musht...conshoom!
Call me an obsolete wasteland ghoul, but I don't see what the Star Wars sequels have to do with a Willow TV show. It is revealing that Robert is now coming up with sketchy justifications to support the Star Wars sequels that have nothing to do with their quality. Consumerism really is practically a religion for him.

Ah yes, Willow. Lord of the Rings for people who were too stupid to get through Lord of the Rings.
I'd say it's kind of a cross between LotR and The Hobbit, since it's more of a fun adventure story and Willow is a lot closer to Bilbo as a protagonist than Frodo, while it does have higher stakes and a more villain driven plot than The Hobbit.

In fact, I would actually argue Willow is a better watch if you want to get the spirit of The Hobbit book than the bloated Hobbit movies that try way too hard to be LotR despite having a plot that it really doesn't work for.

That said, it wasn't really the kind of movie that needed a TV series.

Willow also came with the Lucasfilm package when Disney bought it I think, so It's Bob's way of saying "hey, even Star wars suck, at least we got Willow out of the deal".

Except Willow is okaish... for what it is for the time it was made, at best. It was a very George Lucas thing, he picked something he liked from when he as a kid and made a version of his (Star wars - Flash Gordon, Indiana Jones - Doc Savage, Willow - Lord of the Rings)

But that is it, if you saw Willow, you saw what it had to offer, there wasn't much of a lore to expand upon, and to just remake the story of the movie on a series seems pointless, again, the movie is fine, so you just gonna be excited to see something just because you recognize the name consoomer?

I mean, for fucks sake, Willow is just medieval fantasy star wars, it even has a god damned R2-D2 and C3PO....

My Superior Academia

Winner.

A Reverse-Isekai where the demon king is reborn as an obese diabetic basement-dwelling NEET.
The idea might not work on its own, but it would be a pretty fitting punishment for a main villain.

It could work if the main character learned how much it sucks to be whatever he reincarnated as and having little to no control over his own life, learns some humility and becomes a better person for it.

This would obviously not be the blob character, who would probably be one of numerous reverse isekai'd villains, most of which dont actually learn anything and attempt to be the villains they once were, making the main character more sympathetic as he's actually trying.

That's sorta the plot of The Devil is a part timer. It's more if a comedy though, about the dark lord having to work at a McDonalds.

When Robert goes off on THINKERS, BELIEVERS, and/or DREAMERS you know that he's not saying anything worthwhile with his sad, obsessive attempt to singlehandedly force this meme on society.
I always really, REALLY want to ask him about all of those believers in S.America, Africa, the middle east....

I mean there's a LOT of believers in those areas. What does he think should be done with them...

Import them. They're ignorant fools but they're brown so it's okay to take them in, and once they are wowed by the science and technology that the US has they will ditch their failed religions and become proper consoomers of the Superior Future.

Besides that, Willow is one of those movies that's as good as it is because of the cast. Warwick Davis and Val Kilmer in particular are at their peak in it, and perfectly cast, IMO. Replacing them just won't be the same.

Doesn't count because something something racism, something something colonialism. I'll give Robert this much, he knows all the progressive buzzwords and generally knows how to regurgitate them mechanically in a way that satisfies the "non trash" (ie-idpol obsessed, illiterate in all non-idpol politics like economics, and dumb as bricks) left when he gets accused of anything problematic.

Now that I think of it, I just described AOC with my non trash left definition. No wonder Cinema Roberto loves her.

-Bob seems to struggle with the distinction between working class and underclass, he also seems to create an artificial distinction between working class via ethnic origin or vocation. Something the more cynical capitalists would probably approve off.
most if not all of the media can't tell the difference either; that's what comes from never venturing outside their lilywhite gated communities, and never actually having to work for a living

I'm getting first reports that ALL of the leaks are true. I cannot wait for the spin to come from this.

Shout out to the sped who brought up the eugenics tweet. Retard, if you're gonna throw Bob's stupid comments back in his fat face make it funny and relevant.

Amazon is currently working on their woke version, so we’re fucked.
Woke version of what?

Willow is not an amazing movie, it’s ok I’m just tired of studios rehashing shit and selling nostalgia vs new content. One of the many reasons why I hate Marvel.

New Star Wars is just awful, anyone who thinks it’s good has terrible taste in movies.
