Call me an obsolete wasteland ghoul, but I don't see what the Star Wars sequels have to do with a Willow TV show. It is revealing that Robert is now coming up with sketchy justifications to support the Star Wars sequels that have nothing to do with their quality. Consumerism really is practically a religion for him.*labored breathing and wet, slurred words*

I'd say it's kind of a cross between LotR and The Hobbit, since it's more of a fun adventure story and Willow is a lot closer to Bilbo as a protagonist than Frodo, while it does have higher stakes and a more villain driven plot than The Hobbit.Ah yes, Willow. Lord of the Rings for people who were too stupid to get through Lord of the Rings.
In fact, I would actually argue Willow is a better watch if you want to get the spirit of The Hobbit book than the bloated Hobbit movies that try way too hard to be LotR despite having a plot that it really doesn't work for.
That said, it wasn't really the kind of movie that needed a TV series.
