Honestly his personality would make an excellent comic book villain for he is textbook villain material especially with the ends justify the means and believing he is the hero.

:autism: While comparing people to fictional characters is super autistic, I think Dr. Otto Octavius is a perfect fit for Bob if you removed the intelligence. Otto was a fat bullied nerd who ended up coming to the conclusion that his intelligence made him superior to the brutes. He has a massive superiority complex towards Spider-Man, who happens to share a lot of traits with him, as he always makes a fool out of him. Plus Otto and Bob seem to really like saying the word "superior".

Well the different there is Doc Oct at lest have more of reason to think himself superior, I mean dude could make robot limbs and doom day devices that worked plus had many useful degrees and doctorates, plus could actually do useful things even while crazy. Bob on the other hand, is dumb as all hell, only bit of tech he claims to know is how to install an ac, only has some kind of film degree and is useless on many levels.
