Does he know that the Nazi's rise to power did not happen in a vacuum. Off topic, but if you ever look at the bizarre pattern of alliances around that time (which resembles Charlie's board of crazy on It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia), the impressive thing is that the war didn't kick off sooner.

I deeply regret to point this out, but 200,000 feet, which qualifies as "hundreds of thousands" of feet, is about 37 miles, just 13 miles short of the 50 mile altitude needed to qualify for astronaut wings from the USAF back in the days of the X-15. This was earned by eight pilots. Coincidentally, my avatar is a variant of the helmet worn in the X-15.

The Fédération aéronautique internationale uses the higher 100km, which would disqualify seven of those eight pilots. Fuck the Fédération aéronautique internationale.

That is something that has been bothering me for the past few months considering that the number of WWII veterans that actually fought against Nazis in the Second World War has dwindled. When Bob and his confederates sling around the term "Nazi" to smear political opponents, they effectively dilute the term and trivialize the atrocities that the real Nazis committed. No. Detaining illegal migrants in detention centres so that they can be processed is not equivalent of working people to death or gassing them en masse. Any scientific advancement that can be made should be made and any invention that gets invented should be used as much as possible.

Yeah Bob pretty much has a Cargo Cult like worship of Technology. He's been called a Technocrat in this thread but I don't think thats entirely accurate.

You know I found this picture the other day of hispanics swimming through a river heavily polluted by raw sewage and industrial waste in an attempt to illegally cross the border. They had trash bags on their head to camouflage themselves as floating refuse. The picture was allegedly taken near Calexico, right smack dab in the middle of all the maquilas on the Mexico-California border. The picture was cited as having been taken in '05, before the Bush administration really started cracking down on Mexican immigration, before Obama declared war on Mexican immigrants (and he fucking did), and over a decade before Trump even announced his candidacy.

The reason those maquilas are there, is because it's a duty- and tax-free trade zone devoid of labor or environmental protection that was specifically created by NAFTA. A lot of maquila workers and Mexican illegals are, or were originally, economic refugees who had been displaced by NAFTA. But that's a long story for another time.

I'm sorely tempted to tweet Bob that picture and ask if that's what he supports, because it is. That's Bob's Diverse Superior Future, Mexicans swimming through a river of shit and toxic waste to come here and be wage slaves.

What you described hits way too close to home. Neoliberalism destroyed the economy of the third world and made many refugees, yet people like Blobby cannot push themselves to admit what they are trying to do already happened, but it could be way worse and is not in that way for a lack of trying.
