Bob refuses (or cannot) understand that people need to go back to their jobs to get paid. Unemployment checks and Trumpbux aren't going to solve people's inability to get food on the table and eke out a living under these extraordinary circumstances. The only reason Bob's able to survive during these times is because he lives in his basement apartment with a relative, has hipster welfare, money from a dying forum, and his YouTube channel. Pull out all of those and Bob would be in the same situation as those he sneers at on an alarming basis.

Realizing the "political elite" aren't his friends and have no intention of helping him in any way would be a great change of pace in his character development. As if that was better than working???? I don't understand this mentality at all. Business owners aren't getting Unemployment; they're self-employed, so there's no unemployment to get "kicked off of" in their case. And not all of them are rich, either, so it's not like they can just weather the storm sitting on fat stacks of cash in a vault like Scrooge McDuck's.

Remember, for these people working a good honest work is something lowly that only suckers and idiots do.
