Maybe they would not get banned if they stopped going "Ukrainian is not a a real language, you are just fucking russians."
On one hand banning is gay, on the other hand, unlike most cases where its is connected to gameplay/marketing, it's just assholes delivering blows below the belt to an actual suffering group (as opposed to hurting trannies' fake feelings).

I just want the no-intro mod that apparently was on fagxus mods but disappeared :(
oh apparently you can click-through the splash videos after the first time, oh well

>Xray engine bugs: lol i just got killed by a gun that was stuck in a wall and i ran into it, soul!
Xray was made from scratch by them before the year 2000. You'd think using an already established engine would mean Stalker 2 would avoid all these issues, it's why they've chosen to go with UE5 instead of working on Xray 2, didn't they? And it's made by a new team, so it's clearly a problem with some old folk that stayed.

Pretty sure nobody from old team is left. Some of these guys moved to A4, others to guys who made Atomic Heart and some formed a whole new studio for their new project.

The other half formed Vostok Games, who released Survivarium a decade ago and have been MIA since.

Oh, there's a funny story with these guys, actually. So, they actually had the OG script for STALKER 2 (and yes it's the same script that was used for this game), so they started doing a kickstarter for a game called STALKER Apocalypse and even made a fake letter from Putin and how he was very interested and supportive of their game. But, something went down and the kickstarter admins banned these guys, and when both Russian and Ukranian donators went to ask for their money back, they got the following responses: To the Russian ones they were told how this is Kickstarter and those damn Americans are to blame, to the Ukranian ones they told 'em how it's because of those damned Russians they got banned and the money can't be returned.

I'm seeing mixed signals regarding the presence of A-Life 2.0 being in the game. Is it or is it not? Some guy on reddit said he would quicksave right before an enemy encounter, and it would spawn different squads each load in. Not a fan of that.

"A-Life 2.0 is just a broken spawning system.
Offline simulation, the thing that made A-Life cool, is gone.
There seems to be no smarts either, just spawning zones.
Non-vital NPCs apparently don't register either to savefiles. This means that if you find some random bandits, just hide and reload save and they will dissapear from your game. Combat avoided. Repeat.
NPCs don't really have destinations. They will wander off until they hit despawn conditions and they are as good as dead. Never existed.
The max distance before despawn is apparently 300 meters but that's it."

from /v/, so the A-Life seems to be only working in close proximity to the player, could be bullshit though, but I did my gaymer fact-checking duty by putting in 50 hours into Starslop, another anon would need to verify this because I'm not wasting my time again. spawning zones were present in OG games as well iirc, but they worked better according to my memory

Does the stealth in 2 work like the old ones where you have to worry about being seen and heard?
Yeah, but playing on Veteran I've found it easier to start more traditional firefights from an easily defended position. The AI isn't bad either, as far as I can tell, as soon as you're spotted the entire group of enemies will start fanning out and repositioning with the added benefit of now being able to move faster than a geriatric American politician with fully-crapped pants.

I've definitely seen some "pop in" with mutant spawns, but no human enemies so far. The enemy AI isn't F.E.A.R level, but they are pretty aggressive and they have the fondness for grenades of Clear Sky bandits. Firefights at night are pretty kino. I'm only 6 or 7 hours in though so the game is still in the first region and mostly narrow aside from a few side quests. Maybe in the wider game world it will be more noticeably broken.

What was originally called Areal? I thought that was a scammer whose history in video games was the early Unity asset flips.
