Also, reddit looses mind at women in the zone. pretty sure they were mentioned just not seen in the original (I suspect it was due to time constraints in the original). Great... Can't wait for troon modders now in the US to turn it into furry sex sim like spaceman.
I seem to recall the Russian (?) mod community had added women and sex in a few of their mods.
Yeah I recall there were news about two, not one. However it's all like murky deep(hole) waters so no confirmation on two.

Also, having a women in the Zone ain't something special, although in original vanilla trilogy they weren't there at all, only in the book series, written up by various authors (most notably by Vasiliy Orekhov in his Hemul the Stalkerminator adventures). Of course modders have added them tits havers, why won't they?

I can think of at least two mods with sex in them thankfully they're in cyrillic only so the autism is constrained to slavs. One had a completely non-standard map and had a pretty unique storyline from what I could parse, and the other was a no-combat mod (I think it was a FOTOGRAPH submod and had maybe 1 event).
Of course that doesn't stop coomers from trying, sigh (reddit link).

Yeah, I'm starting to see what people are talking about now. Stealth is completely broken, and this is exacerbated by the enemy spawns. It doesn't matter how stealthy or quiet you try to be, as soon as you shoot any enemy with a silenced gun, they all know where you are. They usually spot you anyway, regardless of distance/light/ sound level. They can also shoot you with pinpoint accuracy through walls btw. Enemies will literally "pop in" on top of you, while you are already trying to deal with another group e.g. I just dealt with a pack of 9 dogs and another pack spawned right behind me. The smaller firefights are tough and rewarding, but when you have to deal with a big group of enemies, who all immediately know where you are, and grenade spam you, while you can barely see them because the game is so dark, it starts to get a bit grating. You can't save during combat anymore either.

First impressions so far: it seems like the developer's idea of "difficulty" is to turn all the enemies into bullet sponges, and you into a glass cannon that can barely dish out any damage (aka the MISERY experience)

Between that and not being able to reload or use a medkit while sprinting made that first bloodsucker fight way harder than it needed to be on veteran.

Also I fucking hate the iron sights in this game so much. They're horrible. You can barely make them out against the backdrop of the world half the time.

Difficulty determines how tanky the enemies are. Easy difficulty seems to be roughly what the older stalker games were like, with harder difficulty making even easy enemies require several bullets to kill. This is Bethesda tier bullet sponge sliders, lmfao

It just looks like a mod for the original STALKER with a bunch of added bugs and graphics from 10 years ago. At least they kept Russian as a language option so I'll give them that.

This first one is just normal behavior for whirly-gig anomalies, isn't it? i.e. they pick up bodies (living or dead), spin them 'round in wide patterns and go faster and faster until the body explodes. This happened in the first three games regularly because of dumbasses (human and otherwise) carelessly straying into them. Myself included.

I, for one, am not as much of a salty bitch about the bullet sponge enemies in 2. The humans are not, one pop in the head is enough where I'm at, which was the case for about 80% of the previous games until heavy armor became common. The mutant enemies taking multiple clips is a little unreasonable, but it's fairly obvious they were designing to counter the issue the series has with mutants posing no challenge besides requiring you to have a couple free kilos for a decent shotgun. Tweaking enemy health numbers through a patch is an easy change to make, the real complaint you should be having is that Bloodsucker animations are wild and ridiculous now, odds are you aren't hitting the damn thing half the time anyways with the stupid hyper-modern recoil control requirements.
 
The enemy spawning in 2 is total shit, it doesn't feel like STALKER at all. I enter an empty hut in an empty compound, realize it is empty, exit, walk 10 feet and a five man squad suddenly starts shooting me from the now very much not empty hut. Hilariously bad.
I read a steam review to that effect that put me off of buying it, was sad to hear about it.
 
I miss the time when bad performance means "game suddenly dips into below 30 FPS" on normal quality.

Nowadays people will cry bad performance when they have their machine dip below 60 on ultra high.

Also might buy the game on the weekend if the positive reception keeps on.
Been liking it so far. Bloodsuckers and poltergeists are tanks though.

It's every mutant it seems like. Even a flesh takes multiple point-blank shots from a TOZ 34 to take down, it's ridiculous.

E: might have been using slugs or something I dunno. Fleshes are still incredibly dangerous now all the same.

No I just find it funny that people complain about stalker being really buggy when it's really not that much buggier than any of the other games for some reason slavic monkeys really suck at debugging then again most of the countries have massive aids epidemics so they're kinda bad at chasing down bugs

The reason people are complaining about the bugs is probably the price tag. It's a brand new game that costs 60 dollars, and that comes with expectations of quality. It costs more than SOC, COP, and CS combined, even if you're buying them at full price.
