Im retarded, my bad. I do know Ukraine made some Tavors under License, though. I believe Forgotten weapons made a video on them.

Can't even consider this STALKER 2 if it has less weapons than the originals alongside the Microsoft faggotry of wahmen, niggers that don't even try to do the Dragon's Dogma approach of being foreign wanderers. Wish this one was made earlier. Franchises I enjoy are cursed and polluted. This older engine looks so good. The skybox has a soul. The character designs are preferable to just photorealism. Rebuilding the 2011 version would be a nice way to one-up a shit final (but not final) release.

Shadow Of Chernobyl remains my favorite one, Call Of Pripyat comes close but I played them in order so favoritism develops with the first time. Clear Sky would be better with adjustments. Go read Roadside Picnic, and watch the film if you haven't yet. I don't really have anything more to add about this series that others already express online 24/7.

I don't intend to play this game but out of curiosity, to what degree of modding support does Stalker 2 have? The Steam page seems to advertise mod support, but since this is UE5, I'm extremely skeptical about that. I know for a fact that it's definitely not on the level of modding for the previous games.

Does anyone know how to download Gamma from Github? What file do you download? I really hate Github.

You can download it via Code > Download ZIP, but do you intend to do that to modify it or just to get it to run? I don't think the latter will work. I know it's cancerous to have to go to their discord to download the client but the guide there is highly likely to be your easiest way to install it. Also be aware that the full install of Anomaly+GAMMA is almost 100 GB.

Most you can get with UE5 is modding various skins onto models, when it comes to changing scripts or making your own from scratch? This is where it gets really tricky with UE5.

Greetings my bets testers. So is the game stable or should I still wait?

Wait until they either fix A-Life or admit it was a lie.

On another note, I've only seen two women in the game, one is the fat woman in Skadovsk, and the other is the girl in Rostok who sells armour and isn't even modelled to be able to stand up (she T poses if you force her out of her chair). I have not seen one single female Stalker out in the actual Zone aside from those two. Are people seeing them or is it just a joke?

Edit:

I forgot the two scientist ladies as well, but again, non-combat role.

Is it not based on the Ukrainian SF bullpup?

Edit:

I'm 50/50, it kinda looks like it, kinda doesn't.

Any news on what the expansions are supposed to contain? I was thinking they were going to visit the generators for the first time in game in the series with all the remote controlled teleporter anomalies that they introduce during the SIRCAA mission.

Yes they literally just press some buttons on a remote and can summon a teleporter anomaly with a known and specified end point. Yet there is no fast travel in game like that and we cant just loot it from the redditor that shows skif that he created this new technology/unlock fast travel that way. Even Strelok has one somehow...... Its a retarded oversight on the devs and especially WRITER'S part.

Also dumb that we can't loot the artifact museum with all the artifacts in the game in there, including legendary artifacts, during all the chaos in the SIRCAA mission. They just lazily walled it off and locked all the doors. Its immersion ruining when its exactly what a STALKER would do. High risk High reward. Just make it so you have to contend with ward reinforcements and escaped mutants flooding the room. The SIRCAA mission desperately needs a rework from a mini not-black mesa to something more in line with what actually goes down in the zone.

its def close but i think its more fort-221 its like almost 1 to 1 with it
they probably changed it to avoid copyright or something like for COD did with all the guns
i hate bullpups but i love how sci-fi it looks its awesome

So how moddable is Stalker 2 looking compared to previous entries? I really want to get into the game to scratch that Tarkov itch (I'm a casual in that game but like the vibe), but I kind of want to wait until somebody out there figures out how to make the world feel more organic without NPC's and entities spawning right on top of you.

Until they release the devkit like I think they said they were going to, not very.

Everything I've seen so far has been limited to fiddling with config files or adding very basic things like looting mutant parts(which may or may not have already been in the files? I've gotten conflicting info on that).

There are three bullpup rifles in the new game. One is based on this rifle, which is a Ukrainian rifle based on the Kalashnikov action, and there is the other rifle which is the Ukrainian made licensed copy of the older Tavor (Fort-12 I believe). There is also the Groza (S-14/S-15 in game I believe), which is a Russian design for a modular weapon system loosely based on the Kalashnikov IIRC. But this rifle you've posted a photo of and the Tavor are both in the game, and the styling for this rifle is somewhat inspired by the older Tavor (the newer version of the Tavor is the X95) since both rifles are used by the Ukrainian military, along with the AK-74, AR/M16/M4 variants, and a few others. Ukraine hasn't been able to standardize on one rifle system for their infantry for various reasons, including the Russians invading their land.

There is also the SVU, which is a bullpup version of the SVD Dragunov that's in the game, but that's a marksman rifle and not a standard combat rifle like the M16, Kalashnikov, or Tavor.

Its really bad thanks to using UE5. Mods exist but they can't change a lot and most of them completely override one another as a result of files being bundled into packages. Don't expect much until if/when the SDK is released.

There's at least one quest where you have to grab beeping tracking collars off mutants, and you do that via the standard looting system, so yes the system exists but the loot itself needs to be added externally via mods.

I forgot when and where I picked up Whip but god damn is that a magnificent weapon, especially when you snag the readiness speed upgrades that make it only marginally slower than an assault rifle. Meanwhile the M14 that was explicitly designed as a battle rifle for infantrymen is one of the slowest weapons out there to draw and holster for whatever bizarre reason.

Yeah, they made the M14 "Mk 1" basically the Western counterpart to the ComBloc DMRs of the SVD and SVU. Which makes sense, since that's really what the M14 and it's derivatives like the Mk14 Mod 0 and EBR have become on the modern battlefield. There really aren't any combat/assault/battle rifles in the game using full rifle rounds like the 7.62x51mm, magazine capacities over 10 rounds, and a fast cyclic rate or full-auto. Hell, even the PKM is chambered for 7.62x39mm instead of the 7.62x54mm R it's actually chambered in. They basically took the PKM GPMG and turned it into a bulkier and heavier RPD, which is a squad automatic weapon. I get that it's about game balance and challenge over realism, but still.

Like I said in another post, I do hope they have plans to add new weapons and equipment in the future. I'd love to see a battle rifle class added to the game, something in between the ARs and DMRs that has higher capacity, more attachments, and are quicker to use than the DMRs, but have more damage and maybe some downsides like a bit slower, slightly less mag capacity, and more recoil than the ARs. I'd also love to see night vision or even thermal added to the game, because the flashlight sucks out in the field.
