That's the only way I can see this concept even remotely work. Four college kids that're in way over their heads get the shit kicked out of them by actual gangs to the point where they have to harden up before they all get Shogo'd out in the desert. Sadly, I doubt that Volition would have the balls to let that one of their characters get Carlos'd, so expect everything to work out perfectly for these spoiled brats.

Also, what's the point of them being a different color if they're going to end up being purple anyway? Just have them be purple all the way through to make them slightly resemble the Saints. Why does everything have to be so fucking tedious with this game?

Either that or they just realize the gang life is brutal and by the end they're physically and mentally scarred by everything they've done as the Boss sits atop his skull throne.

Volition wanted SR to be relevant as its own thing, not just a copycat. Imagine working hard on a product and using an existing idea as inspiration to build on only to have people tell you it's a simple imitation.

Having said that, the crew that worked on the first SR entries are long gone now. The current people in charge do not know what made Saints Row beloved as Saints Row.

this style of writing has been in since forever though. Every game these days is presented as OMG ITS LIKE AN X VERSION OF Y GAME or THE NEWEST DARK SOULS/Soulslike. Every time I see it it's giving me cancer though because its streching so far I have seen articles like X game is like a dark souls super mario minecraft for any original IP its disgusting

To be fair, Far Cry 5 was miles better than 4 and its "villain" and "cult" are actually based as fuck (and their theme song kicks ass in that conservative way that triggers libtards). You know society is fucked up when Im disappointed we cant join the bad guy from the get go when Im clearly taking his side.

What's sad are that some consumer retards are going to be impressed by features that were bog standard on consoles 15 years ago.
