Idk about that one man. This game is made about an hour and 30 from my house, in a fairly red area. I've found no real political shit from DS/DSV (if you have anything beyond the usual corporate pandering let me know) and from what we can see from gameplay, the biggest, "worst" gang is a bunch of commie redditors who are portrayed as absolute fucking morons, and the one whimpy millenial character gets made fun of for not liking guns.

I've got my concerns about this game, but I'm thinking the political/woke shit has been inflated/exaggerated, as beyond the obvious pander trailer character I'm really not seeing anything. This is arguably a less woke title than SR3/4 from what we can tell so far. This doesn't look to be anything like a Mafia 3/WD2/Cyberpunk in terms of wokeshit.

Champaign went about 55/45 blue red in 2016 and 2020, and tends to go red-ish in other elections. The entire area is farming and factories and blue collar types, and all surrounding area and counties are deep red as fuck.

It's a fairly nice town. I work there alot. The college town stuff is more visible with the uppity areas of town, and the voting is likely more down to the large population of white middle aged housewives than the college. There's nearly as many Asians there as niggers. It's nothing like say, Chicago, where it's some fag flags in the windows shithole.

It looks like a very unoriginal game that's designed around not offending woke sensibilities, and the marketing heavily features a racially ambiguous girl whose style looks straight out of a 2022 fast food commercial. One of the highlighted main characters is a super gay dude who makes a point to never wear a shirt, and they're going around committing crimes to pay back student loans, of all things.

Motherfucker, this game is as woke as possible. It only doesn't feature a mission where the boss dresses up like some kind of drag queen tranny demon and groom children because they want it to sell outside of specifically Washington, D.C. and Portland, OR.

I've already said that the default Boss marketing character is a shit show.

At the same time, look who the game has you killing. Immigrants and commies. The boss makes fun of those who are anti gun. Etc etc.

I don't think it's going any way in particular. I think it's a giant parody of everything just like SR1-SR3 were parodies of gangster culture.

Compare this shit to say, Mafia 3 which is literally "kill whitey' the game, or WD2 which is antifa simulator, or CP2077 which managed to shoehorn the fucking troon flag and trans people from our universe into a universe where it canonically makes no sense existing.

NFS Heat literally wouldn't let you play as a white person, half the soundtrack was Mexican music and most if not all of the main characters were some POC/LBBTBBQ whatever the fuck, and the whole game was "police are evil because street racing is illegal".

FC5 as a whole was designed to be a mockery of white people, Christianity, and the US, with the lead devs coming out and saying the game was a political statement about America.

FC6 forces you to play as a Hispanic teenage girl with what are basically superpowers and has forced quests with trans people. They also made sure to not offend the Cubans by making a fake Cuba, despite shitting on Montana being OK, apparently.

I can keep listing. From what I'm seeing this isn't high up on the woke scale outside of its marketing. Especially since enbie-nigger marketing character goes away the moment you start the game, and apparently the game opens with you playing as law enforcement tailing and destroying a smuggler convoy of an immigrant gang. After this comes a mission where you steal a crate from a gang of literal reddit communists who the game makes look like the biggest retards possible. Now im no expert, but id say niether of those things plays into the woke handbook. Id definitely say that the main character making fun of a black character for supporting gun control is a big woke no no. The list goes on.

I'd argue what we should be focusing on is if the game will actually be good or not in terms of gameplay, which I'm currently on the fence about. I don't think the WOKE will affect this game like you think it will

None of them will die, Volition would be spiteful enough to keep them all alive to force their "likeability" on us throughout the game. Don't expect any moment where they shed that "likeability" either, they delayed the game for six months and these dickheads are somehow even worse than how they were portrayed in the first trailer.

There's actually two endings, one that triggers if you have a lighter skin tone, The Boss decides to sacrifice themselves for their toxic whiteness and hands the reins of the Saints off to a diverse subordinate. And one where, if you choose a brown skintone, you take on the evil Marshal Donald Blumpf antagonist in a hand to hand fistfight while all the minorities of Santo Illeso cheer you on.

I knew it was over when they made sure to say "We're not changing any of the story or characters during the delay because we BELIEVE in this new cast!" Imagine letting your pride sink your entire game, get a golden opportunity to patch things up behind the scenes but you don't take it because you don't want those ICKY gamers and their outrage culture to win.

If FC5 is about how silly white people are, it makes me wonder what New Dawn, a game whose villains are two black zoomer raiders, was trying to say.

Your other lieutenants are immigrants too btw. Worse Urkel's from Africa, and Volition SI Glasses Chick is from Latin America. Insert complaints about the capitalist system from Fortnite Pansexual Man too. He actively calls his former gang out for not being true to the system of leftist belief they espouse. So no, you murder "not real communists".

I don't know how someone can look at the promotional material in HD in this thread and choose to miss these.

You can choose to miss them because you're a bland consoomer who needs to buy every product that comes out while fooling yourself into believing that it's actually super secretly based and you're all just too dumb to see it, unlike me, who is not stupid.

Been watching some more early gameplay and coverage. Seems like Volition's plan is to rely on peppy influencers to show off the game rather than media spotlights, since every major pundit has come off lukewarm at best. Some stuff I learned.

>Cars no longer have a handbrake but a drift button, and the fastest car in the game tops out at about 100 MPH, AKA slow as fuck.

>Jim Robs is not available until about 4 or 5 hours into the game.

>Car customization is pretty impressive but it's basically just SR3 car handling.

>Have to unlock the ability to throw grenades in your upgrade tree.

I'm sure there's more but that's everything that leapt out at me as shitty and or bizarre.
