Saints Row thread

I hate checking this thread, since at any moment Kiwifarms might go down for good, and the last thing I would have done here is discuss the fucking Saints Rows Remake.

How depressing would that be?

But I do want to gauge people's opinions, as I only learned about the new one five days ago, and Saints Row is one of the few franchises I genuinely still have fond feelings for (even after Agents of Mayhem)


It sounds like the consensus is its garbage, but is it irredeemable garbage? How bad is it, exactly?

It really isn't at all. Out of the 18 hours of gameplay in the main story I'd say maybe 3 mins tops are dedicated to woke shit. It's really easy to ignore and I'm a history buff that hates woke propaganda.

Nah, it's as if you enter an invisible wall, just in front of the unloaded textures and you are unable to move through them or even move away, that's literally most easy and braindead solution to the "car falling out of the world" bug.
Funnily enough, NPCs and cop cars are still able to move, so they are just left standing next to you and shooting while you're stuck waiting there.

I'm sorry to say, especially to a die hard fan to a franchise that it is indeed irredeemable. Only thing that is at least acceptable are the graphics (and even those are quite fucked up, picrelated) Voice acting is fucking trash, storyline is trash, god, a fucking mediocre obscure indie game on Unity made by two drunk high schoolers would be infinitely better and more fun. It's so bad i unironically want them to pay me for this piece of shit i pirated. Also would like to mention that the loading times here are fucking terrible, and there is seeminlgy 0 reason for them as the world is quite literally loading up as i play it.

One of the examples: those "visible interiors" are quite literally worse than 2000s levels, literal PNGs slapped onto a broken geometry behind a window, the perspective is absolutely broken and it looks absolutely retarded. On the second one, there is a fucking shower wall standing in front of the fucking window, could you imagine something like that IRL?

On the side note, is it true that you cannot have miniguns and RPGs in open world? I could not find any inside the gun store. Sure there are LE EPIC FUTURE WEAPONS with explosive bullets and shit, but fucking seriously?

Nah you do get a regular RPG fairly early on from a mission, can't remember which one, you get a quad launcher in not literally the last mission but the one before, the literal last mission just goes okay you won build this shit now, you get faction launchers too from various activities. Miniguns are limited event or in quest pickups only though and I don't remember seeing more than a hand full throughout the game. Also you get a future not Ultor dual wieldable hand held micro missile launcher also somewhere along the way if you count that.
 
I love the Saints Row franchise so I was willing to give this a go despite all the woke, degenerate shit. After looking at various gameplay videos and reading this thread though I say fuck that I'll keep my cash for something else. I know a lot of people said SR has been going down hill for a while and if this is their big attempt at fixing it it's just sad. I understand why they wanted to back down from the super hero type gameplay - though I fucking loved SR4 - but how do you manage to fuck up a whacky GTA clone? I know most of the devs are woke cunts but how are you THIS incompetent. I haven't been paying much attention to video game stuff for the last year or 2 due to not having the time for them atm, but it really seems like actual good video games are the minority these days. I see a couple of games everyone loves then the rest seem utter rubbish.

Holy fucking shit. Saints Tower. The you finished the game you took the town building that's very expensive and your supposed to be your headquarters. No interior. At all. Yeah you got all the services there but from mooks standing around outside on a platform that leads to the helipad. The symbol of your very power and you get a tiny terrace and a helipad. This is next level lazy fucking hell.
