I really enjoyed the episode, the animation was fun, but my LORD did it feel short. I was genuinely caught off guard by the credits. All these episodes have felt sooo quick. I'm not judging the season as a whole until it's over, its not fair to compare it to when I watched season 1 all in one go.
 
Youtube keeps fucking spoiling the jokes in these god dammit. If there's a joke about the earth being flat I don't want it in 20 fucking thumbnails a minute after the episode airs.

Gwimbly, the President, Spooney, and anyone else? I feel like season one did a good job of making it trying to get to the client, trying to get the client to smile, trying to survive a competitor, or making doing a job out of personal reasons.

Mr. Frog and Gwimbly are the same premise, but with Pim being the one doing it out of nostalgia rather than Charlie with the B plot being Charlie trying to make James smile.

Frowning Friends and the Boss’s wife were the same premise of saving the business.

Enchanted Forest and President followed a similar “the actual job not mattering”.

Shrimp and Spooney was basically the same with a different conflict.

Alan is the only one that involved no one smiling and is a shit episode for that reason.

He tries to guide his friend Charlie and keep him safe yet he is crippled by his own vices.
This show is deep, man.
 
I think my favorite part of the Twitter weirdos attaching to the show are the ones who heavily ship Pim and Charlie together and how them kissing is Zach and Micheal agreeing with them…and on the commentary, Zach and Micheal just said it was funny to have them kiss.
 
whats really funny is every time smiling friends gets renewed it's with the caveat that youre going to have to suffer thru their attempts to grab the very lucrative female stoner demographic with stuff like Birdgirl and Oh God Yes, like im all for trying to manifest Saints Row 2 Shaundi into reality but give it up already

I don't think the zoomer tenderqueer audience understands that the main people working on this show are from a generation that just think gay jokes are funny. Listen to sleepycast and a good chunk of the jokes are just about gay stuff.
 
It's nice to know the guy who would go on oneyplays which had a guy that inspired some rando to draw my cool profile picture is doing so well. I hold out hope that Tamers12345 gets on next season. No one even knows who owns Sonic Underground anyway so I don't see why they couldn't make Bartleby smile.

The only thing I clearly remember about Sleepycast involved Zach talking about Corey's dad fucking him in the ass and Wawa.
 
good on them, and honestly its crazy how Adult Swim originally passed on this show and only accepted it because they had no better ideas to fill the time slot by that point. if the people in charge weren't such fags we could have had this show way back in 2016.
