Bet they wish they were still under British rule
Colonial possessions were run terribly, only the "White Colonies" that operated autonomously like the US, Canada, Australia and NZ were effectively governed. Rhodesia was running fine until the British started to get involved and their ideas were so stupid that Rhodesia severed all connections with the crown. A public repudiation like this obviously pissed off the British who started embargoes against the nation which eventually allowed the communist to win their shit tier rebellions and convert it into the Zimbabwe we know and love.

Update on the President: Hopped a plane from the Maldives to Singapore with his flight being tracked by thousands of people. Tried to get asylum in Singapore but they turned him down so now he's supposedly trying to get to Saudi Arabia and will try to gain asylum there. The Sri Lankan government received his official letter of resignation, a day later than originally planned because he was busy trying to get the fuck out of Dodge.

From what I know of how they ran Sri Lanka, the British elevated the Hindu Tamil minority group and gave them all the good jobs and government positions, building resentment among the Buddhist Sinhala majority. When the British left, the Sinhalese took power and started subjugating the Tamils, so then the Tamils wanted a separate country for themselves in the north and east parts of the island. This is what led to their civil war.

Pretty sure Sri Lanka was under Portuguese rule, but I could be wrong.
Regardless, I doubt they’d be any help.
Portuguese ruled 1597 to 1658. British ruled from 1815 to 1948.

I wonder how Rhodesia would have done have they accepted to join South Africa after the 1922 referendum?

That must have happened after she became a baby mama to a billionaire’s son. Funny considering her album was very “eat the rich”.

...Is she? I know she's antivaxx and thinks the British government is artificially cooling the local climate with chemtrails, but I haven't heard anything about her becoming Christian.

“Since then, my head has been in a totally different place. Being a Tamil and being a Hindu, I was very comfortable that I’d arrived finding myself. Which is, I think, going to be weird for America to process. But I had a vision and I saw the vision of Jesus Christ. It’s very, creatively, it’s a very crazy thing because it turned my world upside down. Because everything I thought and believed was no longer the case. And I think that was maybe a sign that something major was going to happen in the world and that people were needing to be introduced to this concept. But I always found the concept of Christianity quite basic compared to… wow, this is gonna be shocking if people go, “Maya calls Christianity ‘basic.'”

It was apparently 4 years after they split. Divorced in 2012, had her experience in 2017.

It was Portuguese, then Dutch for 150 years before becoming a British possession in 1796 (the story of how that happened is very... weird). Ceylon was a British colony for 152 years, and yeah if the Britbongs were in control of it today they'd probably muck it up further. The only former British colony that might be better off under the control of Bongland again might be Hong Kong, but that's currently because they're being sat on by Winnie the Pooh.

They likely voted against it because it would have meant competition with Afrikaners, who largely outnumbered them (being one of the few white ethnicities to y'know, procreate - though this was halted during the Apartheid era when the primarily Afrikaner government opted to import enormous numbers of cheap black labor so they could upkeep their increasingly bougie lifestyle, while also complaining about there being so many blacks around lol - instead of encouraging their own people to have more children). Also Southern Rhodesia was quickly becoming something of a giant country club for Anglos, which is how they ran it until the Bush War started. Rhodesia was like a weird victorian holdout where the Anglos there were more English than the English and rednecks at the same time.

Democracy at this point has about as much meaning as racism, fascism, communism, socialism, Nazism and 'far-right'. We need a whole new vocabulary.
"That's not real democracy. Real democracy has never been tried!"

It failed in Greece, failed in Rome, failed in Germany and has certainly failed in the United States and just about everywhere else it's been tried.

Cope harder, egalitarian scum. Everything comes back to Fascism/Monarchism/Dictatorships of the Local Flavor in the end because that's the natural order of things.

Inb4 "you won't have freedoms!" I have arrest warrants in 7 states, buddy. Free men are going to be free regardless of the current form of government. If your freedoms can be taken away, you aren't free.

On the other hand, a Constitutional Republic is a great form of government and the US only started getting fucked when we started being more "democratic"

I wasn't trying to defend 'democracy'. Not sure how you got that out of what I was saying. I meant that it's incredibly common to overuse political buzzwords these days for bullshit reasons, like how you see all these western politicians trying to hold up Ukraine as a sterling 'liberal democracy' meanwhile Zelensky is banning opposition parties left and right and denying that it's a corrupt mafia-state shithole. Personally I'm sympathetic to elements of the Estado Novo regime of Salazar's Portugal, hardly an example of 'democracy' in the modern (or is it postmodern?) sense.

Your freedom stops where other's rights begin, niggers like you don't understand that and shouldn't be part of society. Eventually one of those warrants will catch up to you or hot lead will, which ever comes first from your monkey brain antics.
