I didn't meet this NPC but I'm assuming the clone was changed to be a woman in the womb (assuming the cloning is realistic), which is what Divayth Fyr did in Morrowind when he cloned himself, but magic was involved in that.

Also found a bug where if you immediately leave The Lodge never speaking to anyone, Vasco will still spawn outside your ship but you can't interact and he starts heading off to The Lodge.

It's never been good! It has never been good to have infinite proc gen, it's literally just an expensive version of doodling in microsoft paint and making pew pew, woosh! noises with your mouth. If I am paying £10 for a book, and it's just a title, eight character prompts, and a ballpoint pen with a note that says 'Write it yourself lol', I'd be livid. Why would I be happy when a game charges me £60 and does the same thing?

I want a well written, well built RPG, with an interesting world, populated with interesting and unique landmarks; filled with interesting and unique people. Because you are charging money for it. I do not want twenty niggers mean mugging me in a low res version of space Seattle, as imagined by homosexual jews. Nor do I want infinite slop, because that's all proc gen is and all it will ever be. Slop. It's the lowest effort possible, because it's zero effort. This game is Bethesda mashing its balls into the faces of people that pay them money, and going 'space, sci fi, yeah, yeah, etcetera, etcetera, just imagine the story, whatever.' and it legit makes me MATI that we're expected to clap and cheer for Todd and his team essentially putting in zero effort.

Proc gen sucks dick, RPG's are supposed to have actual stories and actual worldbuilding, and be actually well thought out. Otherwise it's not an RGP, it's me doodling in MS paint and going 'pew pew pew!' but for £60 with mandatory niggers. Fuck off Todd.

If I hated the game that much I wouldn't pirate it. I don't get it myself. I wouldn't have anything to do with it. I wouldn't even steal it.

The same thing with those games that give you a bunch of assets and tell you to go build your own game. It's like some car company handing you all the parts that make up a car and saying build it yourself while telling you how fun and rewarding it would be but still expecting $40,000 for a car.

Yeah, he seems to be taking it hard. But he is kind of to blame since everyone knows you don't get hyped anymore. You keep realistic expectations. So when the game turns out to be shit you don't take that hard. It's like going into McDonalds and expecting good food. You go into it expecting mediocre food. At least the people who eat there do. I avoid places like that. Except for Taco Bell and Chick-Fil-A. But when I got to Taco Bell I don't expect to get home made tacos.

Engine limitations. This shit is still running on the Morrowind Engine/NetImmerse Gamebryo (a.k.a. Creation Engine, which is a code fork of Gamebryo with expanded features and a fancy renderer). Everything in these games is broken down into cells, and having an arbitrarily large, topologically correct sphere world, like Kerbal Space Program or Star Citizen, is probably well beyond what this engine can handle. However, since this is still basically Gamebryo, that means it will still have all the advantages of that engine, such as the piss-easy content authoring, where anyone with a 3D modeling program and a .nif exporter can shove their asset into the game in a matter of minutes.

People's reactions to Starfield are very, very similar to the way people reacted to Fallout 3, Skyrim, Fallout 4, et cetera, when they originally came out. When those games launched, they were buggy piles of shit, and the community was like, "Thanks for this turd in a brown paper bag, Bethesda", but everyone just gobbled Todd's turd anyway. "Hmm, let me just take one more bite. One more. I'm not sure yet if this is a turd." And then, years later, after installing all the community-provided bug fixes, texture packs, titty mods, armor, weapons, quest packs, houses, and other stuff people made for free, they were like, "Skyrim has always been amazing." No, it hasn't. Uninstall all your Skyrim mods and your ENB and take a walk around that miserable world with the blue cast over everything and the characters with parsnips for faces. Skyrim was always shit. It took a herculean effort from volunteers to make the game playable. I anticipate that the same thing will happen here.

That's one of the complaints people have about Bethesda and their games. They keep using the same shitty engine. All I remember is seeing people talk about how great Oblivion Skyrim and Fallout 3 were. Everyone liked Morrowind. I had it on the Xbox. Bethesda just burned up all the good feelings people had about them and their games by release shitty games or rereleasing Skyrim so many times. People still make jokes about mods fixing Bethesda's games.

The problem with DF here is that they insist on comparing Starfield to older Bethesda games. Massive open world RPGs are common these days, sure it's technically the best Bethesda game but Bethesda is not the only player in the market.

I don't know why they keep on insisting that the game is good looking and performs well. It just doesn't anyone with eyes can see it. The explanation that it isn't seamless for performance reasons or that the game is barren of anything interesting because of it's massive scale doesn't hold water when it runs like shit and is incredibly limited in scale and scope.

DF likes games that push their expensive PC hardware so they can justify spending the money. They said the same stuff about the Red Dead PC port. I preordered that I know it didn't run well and wasn't well optimized. It was such a let down after Rockstar released the PC port of GTA 5 and it ran pretty well. RDR2 is fine now. But back in 2019 it was a bit of a mess on PC. I remember not playing it for a year till I managed to get X570 motherboard and a R7 3700. I even upgraded my GPU from a 1070 Ti to a RTX 2070 Super. That didn't do much. I didn't get better performance till I got a new CPU.

DF is run by a bunch of super nerds. Their main audience is people who spend a lot of money on their gaming PC's. Other people do watch them. But they are catering to PC "enthusiasts" which is a nice way of saying faggots with too much money and not enough sense. Like I said in another post whackos that buy GPU's that cost $1,000 or more and constantly but the latest and greatest CPU for $400-$500. They get into the never ending arms race with PC hardware. The kind of people the poor fags call "consoomers".

Everspace. I have it on Steam and Switch. I think there is a sequel as well. It's a space game. It has alien races in it. I haven't played much of it. It's rated as Mostly Positive on Steam and only costs $20. The sequel is $50. Everspace 1 released in 2017. You can do space battles and upgrade your ship. I don't know if you can buy other ships.

I assume you are at 1080p? I'm at 1440p on a 3070ti and got around 40fps on high settings, 60 when inside. DLSS is Nvidia's ai upscaler that runs the game at a lower resolution and then upscales it to your desired resolution as a thing to give you better framerates. FSR is the open source version made by AMD, as Nvidia locked DLSS to their hardware and it requires their tensor cores to run. All the upscalers do is just make the game look blurrier, but you can never see it on youtube because of compression but people will literally have flame wars over how much they want to ruin their image quality and how one vaseline smear is better than another vaseline smear, all instead of just turning the settings down to improve framerates instead. It has also made people deathly afraid of any sort of shimmer or aliasing in the image, as they both use previous frames to blur out all fine detail that would result in shimmering. Its like TAA on steroids.

BTW I know someone mentioned there being no stairs on ships. I just bought a class c ship that has a flight of stairs to the cockpit and second level.
