It started Ironically for me because the Meme was funny.

Then I realized that Mario Land 3 came out a year after I was born. Wario has had games for my entire life..Luigi got his own set of games. Even that Faggot Toad has a spinoff, Peach got a game. Why the fuck shouldn't Waluigi get some love.

If anything, it just looks so odd seeing a game where Mario, Luigi and Wario are playable but not Waluigi, it just make it look like something's missing. But eh, that's how things are.

I agree that he does look alright aesthetically and his moves are decent. But it is a bummer that there wasn't another villain character added to counter a few of the more popular good guys that didn't yet have their nemesis in the game.

I also realized what's mildly bugging me about sora. He kinda has the slightly yet still noticably desaturated colors of the ps3/ps4 ports of the original kingdom hearts games. If you look at the side by side comparisons of the original and the ports side by side that are out there you'll understand what I mean.

CAPTAIN Toad. A character who originally appeared in Super Mario Galaxy, and whose game was built off of a mini-game in 3D World because Miyamoto wanted a full game based around it. If you want to see Waluigi get love, you're gonna have to get with Miyamoto himself on that. And Miyamoto doesn't exactly hate Waluigi, I don't think, as he's more....indifferent. And as we all know, the opposite of love is in fact indifference.

Both Doomguy AND Sora got in. Doomguy's a "mii fighter" but it's one that literally replaces the character's model and the gunner moves fit him more than they do any other gunner skin IMO. I remember some people were hoping for the Octoling being a DLC fighter as well so that mii hat technically counts but unlike the other splatoon skins it's unfortunately only a hat. Shame too because it's the splatoon 1 octoling design that's like just combat gear with a somewhat scifi looking steel chestplate, just having the spacey night vision goggles without the lower armor and gear just looks off. The fact doomguy is literally the only actual "outfit" in this final update makes me slightly think they intentionally gimped the octoling to make it clear they really wanted to emphasize doomguy getting in.

I’m holding out hope that the final DLC character for Smash Ultimate will be someone like Sora from Kingdom Hearts or a Crash Bandicoot.

Because if they did add them in, there will be a massive influx of fans yelling out how they told you that they were going to be in there, despite the fact that they have been wrong for the last few years now.

Counterpoint to the counterpoint: Daisy is also in Smash. What do both Daisy and the Piranha Plant have in common? They both appear in mainline games. Also she was created by Miyamoto's mentor, Gunpei Yokoi, so he probably felt he owed it to Yokoi to let Daisy in. He most likely doesn't have that much of an attachment to Waluigi.
