But how did Tifa use Sephiroth's sword??
Very badly, unlike Cloud.
It is kind of funny though. Sephiroth does have a tendency to leave his sword(s) around.

That's because Sephiroth needs mommy to make him tendies, clean up his room, and take over the world for him.Very badly, unlike Cloud.

Nier Automata had 26 endings and Dragon Quest 11 also did Time Travel.Ugh...I can't get over this multiple timeline crap anymore now. I especially can't get over how easily people have not only accepted this, but embrace it whether it's to "save Aeris" or to take the franchise into new territory.
I legitimately think Aeris is just gonna lose herself to the whispers rather than outright die, and maybe there's a long sidequest which restores her memories and makes her playable again. Because I remember the old days where there were fake guides on how to revive her with similarly asinine quests and it would be pretty fun fanservice to pay homage to that.Ugh...I can't get over this multiple timeline crap anymore now. Do these people honestly not realize that they could either take an even darker/potentially nihilistic route than Chrono Cross did or do something cheap like Kingdom Hearts 3? How exactly are people supposed to feel anything if "an Aeris" still dies pretty much under the same circumstances but there's another one still alive (one who I'd imagine has a completely different bond with the other characters)? Same thing applies to the other characters. I just can't see them managing any deaths of characters or versions of characters well at all. Even if they could somehow pull this off, it would still require them to have re-build versions of certain characters which is something I doubt Square would do.
Then of course we have the problem of not knowing how or when timelines are supposed to converge or whether things should resolve themselves by the end of the series this time around (I'm looking at you FF.
I guess it is just a good sword only he can use for some reason (perhaps weight) rather than special or unique. He could get another. Reading the manual as a kid I thought it was enchanted or cursed in some way but now not so much.Very badly, unlike Cloud.

You can do this with hacks, but it fucks up the battle system because while in a dress none of them can fight.I wish Cloud stayed a trap for the whole game.
I could have sworn they announced that you could continue wearing the dress if you wanted to. I guess they removed that.I wish Cloud stayed a trap for the whole game.
Good games with time travel existing does not change that this game's timeline crap is retarded. Modern FF fans just have lost all sense of taste from being Nomura'd for so long.Nier Automata had 26 endings and Dragon Quest 11 also did Time Travel.
Those were the last two games (or more like 1 and a half since Platinum co-developed NA) that Square Enix put out that were deemed universally good. Time travel and what-if scenarios are not that much of a big deal for games because of how games work. Morrowind's Chim is the prime example of having a self aware character acknowledge that save states exist which do allow you to go back in time.
The game has now been out long enough that people are aware of it and it doesn't seem to be falling flat because future shipments have already been pre-ordered and sold out. It's also the most downloaded full game on PSN right now.
Except the Zelda timeline fucking exists and that is beyond the point of an abortion at this point. Like it's not hard to compartmentalize things.Good games with time travel existing does not change that this game's timeline crap is exceptional. Nier Automata and Dragon Quest 11 also had none of the same team members as FFVIIretardation. I don't get why people like to pretend that the big faceless corporation that pays the people who create their games actually created their games, I guess it helps them get hyped about reboots which feature almost none of the original team members (aside from the guy they hired because he draws characters with lots of buckles).Nier Automata had 26 endings and Dragon Quest 11 also did Time Travel.

Dragon Queat XI did time travel in the best way they could have and it is nothing like the bullshit in Final Fantasy VII Remake. There was a price to pay and a lifetime lost in the pursuit of time travel in Dragon Quest. The consequences were real and the payoff was sweet. Final Fantasy VII hands it out like candy. Shut your whore mouth.Nier Automata had 26 endings and Dragon Quest 11 also did Time Travel.

You know, I heard something somewhere that FF7R originally began life as the last compilation project. Which gets me a-thinkin'

We don't know the stakes of the time travel yet. We're just acting under assumptions that Aerith may know something and Sephiroth may know something. None of them have directly stated and all we have are flash forward glimpses.Dragon Queat XI did time travel in the best way they could have and it is nothing like the bullshit in Final Fantasy VII Remake. I can't shake the idea. They were debating doing character-centric spinoffs, and that's what Dirge of Cerberus was, and maybe this began life as a full-circle type thing where a character is given a chance to change events and maybe they need to accept that they can only nudge here and there and make no sweeping changes if any at all. And aside from Sephiroth people are convinced Aeris is a time traveler too. But I can prove none of this anyway.I find that difficult to believe. This Remake series may very well spawn its own compilation project.
