The General Thread

You have to love it when someone starts a vs. thread. On a forum I frequent, someone started one as 80's cartoon ninja turtles vs. Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. People are talking about other versions fighting and one guy is going on about how removed the turtles were from their source material (inept a the word he used). I've said my piece on it and now am sitting back to watch others argue.

I went with the Turtles, btw.
 
I recall there was a site dedicated to vs fights? Which someone decided to make a lolcow thread on.
 
Sorry. Didn't know. I just find such discussions fun if done in a lighthearted manner, but some people get waaaay to into it. Trust me, my nerdiest moment was arguing a Vs. mecha fight against a Gurren Lagann fanboy in youtube comments and cursing that I was only allowed 500 characters at a time. That time, I was too into it and felt embarrassed afterwards.
 
What bothers me about Vs arguments is that people are often ignorant of what one side can do and it skews their behavior. Like people who think Voldemort can defeat Darth Vader or that Goku can solo the entire Marvel universe.

Yeah, in the above occurrence I mentioned, the other guy kept accusing me of not watching his series. I have watched Gurren Lagann and I was pointing out limitations of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Gurren Lagann zealots are probably the most annoying guys I've found in the mecha community,

For the record, I was arguing for the eldritch abomination that is Getter Emperor.

And guns are still effective on wizards. Stormtroopers may be able to take Voldemort out if they actually hit him. Or The Sniper.

Sylvester McCoy is coming to a convention an hour's drive away from me. This may be my best chance at meeting a classic Doctor, I just have to watch some of his stuff first.

More a Troughton/Pertwee/Tom Baker fan with the classic series.
 
I am drinking a cocktail straight from the shaker. At least from the outside it might be misinterpreted as a thermos, but why one would drink Manhattans from an isolated can I do not know.

I think this is just proof that there is something wrong with me, but I had to take the label off my bottle of water because it was falling off, and it drives me bananas to drink out of a bottle that is missing its label. :stupid:
 
It figures that the exact day I feel like I have everything in check, that my life is perfect and I have all my shit together, depression hits me like a sack of fucking bricks because of stupid fucking dumb shitty piece of fucking fuck shit cunt memories. The more vocal the Power Rangers Megaforce supporter, the more idiotic they seem trying to justify their like. This one guy's grammar sucks donkey balls and he is trying to lecture me.
