you know how there's that debate on what that... lump is? If you look at his super model application to Renee, you can clearly see that this lump is his belly fat. Chris' stomach fat has this weird.... curve to it at the bottom (I don't know if this is typical fat distribution so I don't mean to be offending anyone by calling it weird, sorry). And his pubic area is just a fatty mound and what we're seeing isn't his dick and balls tucked down, but INSIDE of himself; as we have learned from his texts to Catie. Yes folks, he put his balls and dick back inside himself.

Wonder if THAT was something that was going to be added to the wedding vows.

So you're saying his strap-on base is being used to force his genitals back into his FUPA and not just tuck them down in between? Oh and let's not get started on hygiene down there too.

Holy shit you're right. What on earth possessed him to do that? That has to be absurdly uncomfortable to walk around with.

 I read the entire thing without laughing, just wearing this twisted look of confusion and disgust, until I got to that last vow...to add more vows. If I ever get married, I am SO using that, wow

With this (my Class) Ring, I take thee, Catherine, to be my Sweetheart, Lover and Girlfriend

Good god. I'd hate to see his concept of marriage if this carries on. Instead of those expensive rings from that fancy jewelry store, why not just exchange class rings?

Doubt a girl's class ring would fit on Christ's finger though. (:_(

At least Chris has been trying though. Totally giving up on that Panda Halo incident was just weak.

Sorry, bit off-topic: what's a class ring anyway? Do you get them when you finish school or what? We don't have them in my country, can't say if they are of any importance to a regular person.

He got his amnyfest ring for graduating Mancherster High. Noteworthy is the fact he doesn't know it's called Amethyst and him putting such a huge value on it. I guess most people are proud of their graduation rings but eventually move on in college, that's at least what I would do.
Chris being obsessed with a high-school graduation ring even now is certainly not normal...

Class rings are really out of style in the US. Most people who persist in wearing them are working class/former athletes, generally who didn't go to college. Though sometimes if it's a very elite high school (e.g., certain boarding schools) the grads might continue wearing their class rings. But even then, the rings have gotten pretty uncommon.

I'm not sure if that's really a general trend, but I think you're right are mostly people who never went to college or rather, people like Chris who haven't accomplished anything with their life since high school. I didn't bother with getting a college ring - I could have, but I figure I only wore my high school ring once, it'd be silly to spend $500 on another ring I'd never wear. I don't think I really see people wear college rings either. I think unless you went to an Ivy school or one of the military academies (where showing your class ring gives you precedent in certain matters) that people don't really bother with that either.

So is Chris just vowing to be a good partner? I read his letter, I'm wondering what he's trying to go for. "Pinning" used to be a thing - a guy in college would give a girl he wanted to be serious with his frat pin, which signified they were "engaged to be engaged." It's an old custom, maybe Chris is aware of it because he seems to understand some stuff that's otherwise anachronic to people his age due to watching shows like "I Love Lucy" but since he doesn't have a frat pin, he used his high school ring. Or if he's using it as a way to reinforce his promise.

It could be Chris found out about the pre-engagement ring:

But it might also just be him trying to show his commitment and trust by giving her one of his most precious things. The fact a ring also carries some big implications towards marriage certainly isn't lost on Chris, though. The gesture might be kind of cute, if it didn't come with a huge catalogue of things he expects from her (not necessarily mentioned in the vows, but you know they're there).

He expects her to be his replacement Barb, he expects her to give him a daughter (however he is going to achieve that), he most likely expects her to earn the money, he expects her to take all responsibilities, so he can lean back and play vidya... and then he doesn't even intend to be faithful.
Not gonna judge anyone in an open relationship, whatever grown-ups do in their free time is none of my business, but Chris literally offers nothing while he makes some really huge demands.
I guess the Rocking Boat Incident with Colin was Caties answer to the open relationship, to see Chris' reaction (and I certainly would love to see it, too). I bet while he practically insisted he's allowed to pork anyone he can, the thought never really occured to him Catie might take him up on it and do so herself. Maybe I'm not giving him enough credit here, but I pretty much expect his reaction to be some sort of "BUT HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?"

Well, the college I went to, everybody wore class rings at their graduation. Maybe it's one of those things that are seen as tradition but that's something different.
