And even if the Germans change their mind on "Jewish physics", said brain drain has already ensured that they hopelessly fell behind the United States and their best course of action being reverse engineering shit from the West, more or less what the Soviets did IRL.

Realistically if the Nazis won the war I think the west would be better off today. There would have been probably the failures of fascism and communism both collapsing around the same time.

We would be ahead by a decade in consumer electronics, rocketry, and television. As for the world itself things would be different for sure.

Europe would be a superpower under the leadership of the German Reich. Most states would be satellites or economically dependent on Germany for trade, but life would go as usual. I expect the entire Polish nation to be deported en masse to the East. The occupied USSR territories would be most likely under a weird system of joint Reichskommisariat rule and local autonomous governments/bureaucracies. Economically, it is difficult to predict how Germany and Europe would perform. The Third Reich did not follow Soviet Central Planning or Western Capitalism, this means that Soviet stagnation or stock market bubbles would be unlikely. However, aside from a few principles, National Socialism does not adhere dogmatically to a specific economic policy, which means that Hitler or his successor could easily implement radical economic policies without significant doctrinal controversy (like in Dengist PRC or Gorbachev's USSR), as a side-note Italy would be entirely dependent on the German economy due to the utter failure of its corporatist economy that would certainly be under severe stagnation. There would be two severe issues in this new world, corruption in the upper party cadres (which existed in our timeline as well) and institutional instability during Hitler's succession.

Mind that I consider it mathematically impossible for Germany to win WWII with American participation. Germany would have to take captive the entire BEF before it reached Dunkirk to force the UK out of the war and retard US entrance.

In addition: Christianity would be greatly weakened after the war's end. The German Protestant churches would follow "Positive Christianity" (espousing racialism and a rejection of the Old Testament), while Catholicism could face a violent crackdown, the weakened position of Italy (and the massive anticlericalism of Mussolini), would allow Hitler to force the Pope to accept a radical transformation of Catholic doctrine to conform with National Socialist teachings. Esotericism, Theism, Germanic Paganism, and other forms of Paganism would become more popular but still remain an "odd" minority. I expect rebellious or "egdy" SS youths following Paganism to spite their elders or in order to destroy "the last vestige of Semitism" in the Reich.

If it doesn't pull through, it will be some esoteric subject of future scholars from whatever society expands into the ruins of the western world. The lowest circle of hell is reserved for traitors and Jewmurica has not only betrayed its own people, it has betrayed the entire western world and even God himself.

I still have hope that one day America will have a prosperous and golden future again. Maybe I wont live to see it, but all I ever want is to live to see an America where I know its going down a better path. (Extended) Germany, with occupied Russia and stuff, would probably collapse over time just like the USSR, making way to some post-fascist German nation which would probably be a lot better to live in than todays Germany. There would also be some proto-EU forming between the Axis members and all the territory formerly under direct German occupation, but obviously still with Germany as the unopposed leader. Hitler wasn’t completely opposed to democracy, the Nazis prouded themselves on taking over the Weimar Republic essentially by democratic means and Hitler also stated in Mein Kampf that at some point he would consider a form of “Germanic Democracy” when National Socialism did its job so to speak. I don’t think Germany will stay a dictatorship forever and will at some point become a kind of republic.

Now of course the question is how you would define a German victory, I’d say it’s somewhat realistic that they won on the Eastern front in mid-1942 and the UK+US gave up because there was no realistic way to win anymore. Operation Sea Lion is not gonna work, like, ever and some world domination thing where the US speaks German is also unrealistic. The only thing that would truly change is that Germany would probably be in some kind of Cold War scenario with the US. Hitler allegedly had some intention of invading the US at some point, but with no fleet to speak of they would take decades to even produce enough ships to consider such an endeavor. Not gonna happen either I think.


See this is what I don’t get. For Americans it makes almost zero difference culturally if Germany won WW2 or not. You’d probably have people like Rockwell gaining more mainstream attention and have more people fascinated with Nazism but that’s about it. McCarthyism might be replaced by something analogous for fascism.

If you get over the loss of life as a direct result of the war and the Nazi campaigns against Jews etc. and only look 80 years into the future chances are the world would be a much better place politically. For the whole western world WW2 acts as some kind of founding myth for the liberal world order - a battle between the good guys and bad guys that “we” won. The more time passes the more Nazis get made into this cartoonishly evil bogeyman used by all political sides to define the virtue of their ideology simply by some metric of political distance to Nazism. Maybe without this sentiment there would be no moral basis or public support for things like mass immigration from third world countries. Europe and the Anglosphere would still be “racist” to some degree, which might arguably be a good thing. Also uncontested Japanese Asian dominance is probably better in the long run than getting fucked by the Chinese now. There’s a million little things to consider obviously, but my short answer would be yes, we would be better off if Hitler won.

Hitler did not want annex or permanently occupy any of the major Western nations (France, Britain, US, Canada), and had in fact sought to avoid war with these countries. So I do not see why people think these countries would be much different.

Hitler did want to annex territory in Poland (not just traditional German territory, also traditional Polish territory), European Russia, and other parts of Eastern europe, and enslave, ethnically cleanse, or exterminate its inhabitants (Slavs). So if he had won, tens of millions more people in Eastern Europe (mostly Slavs since he already managed to kill most of the Jews there in OT) would have died torturous deaths for the sake of Hitler's crackpot racial theories. Hitler's plans for the East - ethnic cleansing, razing of cities, enslaving and mass murdering slavs - were partially realized during the war. Millions of Poles were enslaved or ethnically cleansed under Nazi rule, and millions more lost their lives. Why do you think the buildings in Warsaw look so new?
