Didn't we I dunno fight a massive fucking war that stopped Nazis from being Nazis and it was considered the most American thing ever?

James Cameron is a raging misogynist. But he also gave the world Sarah Connor and Rose McGowan, and expanded Ripley to an even better character. I think he's a solid authority on proper feminist characters.
gotta disagree with the Ripley part
practically everything she was in Aliens she was in the original. only thing he did was change a horror movie into an 80s action movie and removed the fear of an unstoppable, stealthy, brilliant apex-predator force of nature to replace it with a lumbering jackass who only takes a few assault rifle round to take out

Suicide Squad made a big profit and people will watch any Joker related stuff even if it is Jared Leto doing it - there's no reason for Warner Brothers NOT to go for something like this from a purely commercial standpoint.

What fucking franchise does Tony imagine can come out of the Wonder Woman film, it's a character nobody knows much about and she has no well-known villains either.

For someone who talks about films a lot, Tony sure has a hard job recognising that cash is king for big studios.

You make the next film about Wonder Woman adjusting to the 21st century and fighting villains like Cheetah or you could take villains like Killer Frost or Livewire and base something around that or having Wonder Woman 2 being set in WW2 and having her fight Red Panzer and Baroness von Gunther .

I'll try best I can

she was like 19 when they got married. he was an abusive, whiny jackass who doesn't bathe
his family tried pushing her into having kids with him (probably to seal the deal on their marriage)
she left him

that's about all the important facts I can think of for their marriage

She was smart not to get pregnant by this mental defective. The last thing anyone needs is to get impregnated with tard children by some disgusting autist. She would have just pumped out a future lolcow.

Gee, it sure is a shame we don't live in the 90's. There was NEVER any terrorist attacks or neo-nazis or wars or pharmaceutical companies being destroyed by US presidents back then. Everything was sunshine and rainbows, huh, Tony?

Maybe it's a call for help and on some level he's realizing "progressivism" is cancer that forces you to be political and outraged all the time. :optimistic:

Is this stupid fucking nigger serious right now? You'd think someone who believes white terrorism is the greatest threat to America would have a less than rosy view on the 90s.

So you want to go back under that rock you clearly were under throughout the 90s? Because I can already assume he's either completely ignorant towards or unaware of all of the shit that happened back in the 90s, like Columbine or the Boston Bombing.

The IRA was still about then too.

Or if he's talking about stupid foreign blunders there was always Somalia (which Black Hawk fucking Down was based on!)

Yep, the nineties were full of peaceful events like Waco, Oklahoma City, The Unabomber and Rwanda. Those were all good times like the Lilith Fair.

To be perfectly fair to Tony, he's not the only one who thinks this way. After the Soviet Union fell, there was a pretty widespread way of thinking that believed with only one remaining superpower in the world, no threat of communism, and the seeming ascendance of peaceful European-style socialism, then all the horrible shit you guys are describing were just mere bumps in the road on the way to a peaceful, eternal utopia. Francis Fukuyama even coined a phrase to describe it: "The End of History." Of course, we know now that History responded by chuckling, scratching its nasty bits, and lobbing a few Islamic-hijacked jetliners at American centers of commerce and government.

The problem is, and what Tony no doubt is incapable of recognizing, that as many people who once believed that way now understand is that the "end of history" was always a steaming bucket of horseshit; there were plenty of indications that history had a thing or two left to say; that the whole concept was nothing but smug Western blindness; and that ignoring those warning signs was a not-insignificant factor in how badly we got blindsided by history and why the hilariously terrible circus of world events of the last 16 years has gotten as ridiculous as it has.

But this is all a roundabout and verbal spinachy way of telling you guys what you already know: Tony doesn't give a shit about living in "uninteresting times." Cloaked in the comforting haze of protracted adolescence and arrested development so many lolcows share, he just wants to be a kid again.

Oh I'm not denying that Tony's not the only one out there with that mindset. The problem is that, as you and everyone else (me included) has said- He can only think about himself and no one else. Not only that, but usually most people would be able admit they're wrong if someone were to tell them that the 90s weren't great unless you were a kid. Tony's proven incapable of doing so (yet another thing repeated like a broken record).

I'm not entirely sure how old Tony was back in the 90s, but I'm pretty sure he would have been old enough to find out about all the disasters and controversies out there that happened during that decade.
