I got an invite to the closed beta. If I have time I'll try it and report how much it probably sucks.

Ubisoft+ will be the company's final destination:

In the end, Microsoft managed to have their games on Playstation.
Which still means nothing. It's like either having to be both kicked in the teeth and punched in the nads

for me ghost recon was their biggest mis-step. Wildlands isnt great its feels like almost every aspect of the game is unpolished, the worlds too big and sparse, the skill tree invalidates mechanics with permanent upgrades and power creeps the player beyond reason even when solo, driving is dysfuntional, tons of mission design conflicts, etc.

But it was an open world sandbox with coop that didnt require players to gather to start missions or to watch cutscenes together. it was a completely seamless gameplay driven experience you could enjoy with friends start to finish without being bogged down by scriting or waypointing. The only missions you could fail were those where you needed to extract with someone alive and there was basically no load screens.

Then we got breakpoint which added diablo loot, had a world 4x larger, made the movement awful, was overflowing with menuing, added a camp system which loaded too long, added a hub which loaded too long and let you see random players for no reason and overall was just a slog like the division. They threw away the one thing wildlands had going for it and killed the spin-off series immediately.

Wildlands is still the only game to have such an effortless and simple multiplayer experience in an open world like it did and we'll probably never see another.

Siege has been dead to me since lion came out its more frustrating than tactical and itll never go back, maps have been neutered. I dont care for their pseudo mmos and assassins creed/far cry clones.

For honor seems good for its fans but its incredibly niche and difficult evem for fighting game fans to pick up.

brawlhalla is doing well because you dont need to use uplay and most people probably forget ubisoft became its publisher since blue mammoth seems to have creative freedom.

They have killed the Rainbow Six franchise so they could chase trends. Siege is just a hero shooter with the writer's self-insert characters.
Even if I didn't like GR Wildlands, I learned to appreciate its open world despite being way too big at least it had soul in terms of aesthetic. GR Breakpoint is just a globohomo version with solar and wind energy everywhere and drones watching you from the sky every 5 min. The story was ridiculous.
And then there's The Division 2. After Massive got tired of it, another studio took over and since then well... it's playable and has less crashes (I'm always scared of typing this because I know if I do the game will freeze and crash next time*). The new story/season is meh, the dialogues are MCU tier and they've added ugly characters like this one:

*edit: yep, it just froze and crashed at the splash screen

Oh yeah, I actually loved Wildlands. Some of the comments your squaddies make are just hilarious. Like when you drive by the big-ass mausoleums the drug bosses are having built:

"I want something like that when I die."
"What are you, a Navy SEAL?"

Siege should have ended after the South Korean operators were released. Everything after Vigil and Dokkabi were complete crap.

I have to admit it is fun watching Ubishit slowly circle the drain rather than an overnight crash.

We get to see all their retarded decisions like cancelling the VR Splinter Cell game in favour of shovelling out several AC games. Spamming season and battle passes for games over real updates and bug fixes.

Plus all the drones that gobble up their slop can enjoy eating even bigger pieces of shit in the years to come.

Holy shit Division Heartland is never coming out, is it? They just released a video on The Division Twitter stating that after all the feedback they got on the beta they're gonna go back to focusing on the development and the next update will be sometime in 2024

How much feedback do they need so they can finally understand that nobody asked for a Division co-op extraction game?
Only hackers are playing the Dark Zone mode in The Division 2.

It's Ubisoft upper management (who love nothing more than chasing dead trends years too late), and Red Storm (the shitters responsible for fucking up Div 1's DZ). At this point I'm fairly confident the Archangel Gabriel could descend with an entire angelic choir to tell them their game is dogshit and they still wouldn't listen.

It's not just hackers. It's hackers and sweaty trolls and gankers.
