I don't know anything about that game but it's on sale for $10.49 on Steam if that's cheap enough for you.

It's like XCOM in terms of combat. Not really my schtick, unfortunately. I stopped about partway through the first chapter because playing on normal was annoying with health only being recovered up to half of max.

Finished Dawn of the Monsters, a neat little beat-em-up about kaiju done in a comic book sort of style. It was fine. Not amazing, but the story kept me going through to the end. Going to be starting up Midnight Suns soon and a couple indie games.

Got a second game to ask about, probably got asked here already, but; what do you guys think of Baldur's Gate 3? I know we've got a thread on the game here already, but I want to see what the rest of the community here on the Farms thinks of it; how is it? Too woke? Too stupid? Not fun? Not your style? What do you guys think?

I recently finished all the missions of both the remastered Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert and watched all the behind-the-scenes videos. By today's standards, the OG Command & Conquer was a very simple, unsophisticated and humble game, but man did it have SOVL.

Alright I have had enough of the bullshit okay, you have 5 seconds to explain to me why games can't be produced like they were in the golden era again, why can't we have small teams on smaller budgets making a game in a couple years, why is it that we had that during the 80s to the end of the 00s and then it all vanished!

NOW it is expected to take 6 years and millions of dollars and 100s of people to produce some absolute aids infested shit with zero content zero creativity and it's all made on some dusty old engine that they already know how to work in.

What happened??! What, do you expect me to believe higher fidelity textures and polygons makes a game take 300% more time to develop and costs gorrillions:aug:!?

How come the meat of Halflife was produced in a year and then they managed to secure another year to polish it and it's a 10/10 game but now Starfield AIDS🌗, Trooners Gate 3:gay:, Halo Infinite Shit:slayer: and more all take the better part of the decade and are woke, devoid of content, and are put to shame by bedroom modders who outdo them with a year of fucking about after work. And don't tell me "Wut about da Quake engine, it saved Valve time!", well spectrum child those three shitty games I mentioned were all developed on existing engines so where is your excuse now huh?

Nobody has ever been able to answer this question and nobody ever will. Yes corpo public private greed means games are made by shareholders who just want their sheckles and yes games have to put the ESG Bio-Leninist mandated propaganda in there, and yes the diversity hires do such a shit job that you need 64gigs of ram to run modern games at 30fps but none of those explain where all of the 80s/90s/00s style development teams have gone, it's fucked and I don't like it.

Are there many good games with VR voice recognition?

I was just playing consortium quest VR for the first time and I was very impressed how they not only allowed you to speak projected dialogue trees, they even allowed you to change or shorten some of the words as long as most of the sentence is complete. That seemed pretty cool and there was a high success rate.

It's not perfect but weirdly it seems to have the most trouble when I'm trying short responses like one word greetings with an NPC.

The writing and quest design was pretty OK, the combat kills me because 5e is braindead boring, horribly balanced, and very biased towards casters to the point that playing pure martial classes is like sticking your dick in a pencil sharpener.

Square comes to mind as one company doing that, but they recently announced they're going to shift away from mid budget games to AAA, I think. Most of what they make regardless of the number of As in its development are soulless woke trash anyway...

Can't say I disagree; the woke stuff is pretty much the main reason why I'm so on the fence about getting the game myself. I've heard that the gameplay is solid enough, but the woke crap is a genuine annoyance. From what I heard, I think you can kill most of the fags in-game, at least; dunno, still wondering if the game is really worth it in my opinion. I'll have to wait for a sale regardless; $70.00 is a bit much for a digital download-only game at the moment.

The game is fantastic and the "woke" shit is few and far between and entirely stuff you need to seek out beyond a couple throw away NPCs being comically gay or obviously nods tot rans people. The idiots celebrating the sex scenes are just as retarded as the ones screeching about how woke and gay the game is. It more than justifies the price tag which is incredibly rare in this day and age.

To contribute, I've been enjoying Midnight Suns a lot more than I expected to. I'm not a fan of Marvel in general or the typical Joss Whedon style of quippy dialogue but the gameplay loop is pretty satisfying.
