After having officially completed my Inquisitor playthrough, I say this game is worth a play. At least pirate it.

While the writers are obviously leftists who have a very specific idea how you’re “supposed” to play the game, their commitment to player freedom made the game fun. Not even the infamous TERF Hogwarts Legacy let me murder the Tranny.

Minor spoilers if you care: Act 3 has a tranny leader of the circus. I murdered xir in cold blood and the only consequence is the Baldur’s Gate journos decide to write a hit piece on you. You can then go to the local CNN headquarters and murder every journo in the city. I then sabotaged their printer and changed the hit piece into an article about a cute kitty.

Since you are allowed to kill any character in the game, I highly recommend you give it a try. Pirate it, then play solo and genocide every character in the game. Or, you can look up guides on how to optimally betray or screw over every degenerate in the game. There are a surprising number of ways to be a total asshole, which made it fun.
 
Been having a lot more fun with Lethal Company than I thought I would.
The fact that the game is centered around voice chat/proximity chat and also has pretty good acoustics is really what makes it for me.
It's nice to have a new game come out that encourages you to actually talk to people and also has a comedic tone so that people aren't super up their own ass.
Also I think putting Sneed in my room names has helped attract a higher caliber of person.
The game itself is fun enough but could use some more maps and modifiers and all that stuff as well as some more stuff to spend your money on like maybe cosmetic stuff you don't lose after every run, but really the game to me is about the uncontrollable laughter which occurs when you hear the muffled screams of one of your new intern friends being vored by a forest giant.

Any recommendations for a class? Inquisitor playthrough sounds REALLY fun; which classes are best for screwing over the degenerates? I imagine Paladins won't be able to maintain their Oaths, so I'm guessing Oathbreaker for one; what about others?

EDIT: Also, isn't there a Lone Wolf mode? I was thinking about doing that if I ever get the game, since being able to ignore the rather faggy companions sounds like a plus; which class do you think could fit for a Lone Wolf Inquisitor/degenerate killer run?

Yeah, I was playing a vengeance Paladin but it immediately labeled me an “oath breaker” the second I started exterminating heretics. It’s how I knew the game was quietly seething at my decisions.

I personally tolerated several companions because they were useful in combat but you can look up guides on how to make a cheesy character that can waltz through the game solo, even on tactician. You can cheese stealth, the monk nearly infinite bonus actions, necromancy, a corpse radiating a death field in act 3, and a sabotaged chest in act 1 to positivity delete enemies.

So Oathbreaker Paladin, Necromancer Wizard, Monk, Rogue and/or Ranger for class choices; got it. I'll take a look at each, see which one looks the most fun. Any suggestions?

What about race? I was thinking a poison or fire Dragonborn; and what about Dark Urge for an Inquisitor playthrough?

I only play as human. I do not roleplay as xeno scum. Dark Urge can be fun but it’s most fun with companions that you can be tempted to murder. If you’re just going to go full murder-hobo, you’ll miss out on some fun choices as Durge.

Can't say I disagree with preferring to play humans; all the freakshit around these days, playing as a human Inquisitor/Templar and burning away the degenerates a la WH40K is a very fun prospect.

EDIT: I just like playing as monsters sometimes. I mean; it's Dungeons & Dragons, why not play a Dragon(born)?

Picked up a copy of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen for $5 USD. Never played the game in 2012 or whatever, reading the reviews it seemed kinda interesting and I was pleasantly surprised with the gameplay. I wasn't expecting to be able to grab onto big ogres and climb them to slash their eyes and other crazy shit like that. The setting is somewhat generic but at the same time its quaint with everyone just being human so far.

Hellish Quart was also on sale for around $10 USD, a super interesting and surprisingly fun and simple realistic fighting game. People love to compare it to Bushido Blade but the game is so much more faster paced and arguably more complex as you gotta keep your blade length and such in mind, especially with characters like Yendrek and his axe. Even though it's in early access, the game has a surprising amount of content and is super fun. Just wish the game had an actual online mode, since right now you gotta rely on Steam Remote Play or something like Parsec, not bad if you have a friend or two to play with.
 
it's a little too early to say for sure, but I think Agent 64 might be the best game to come out this century.

Acquaintance of mine was talking about Stellaris and how much better it is now than at release -- so I reinstalled and played for a couple hours. I just don't get that game. It just doesn't hit me like EU4. It seems so RNG on the exploration and you can get turbo fucked by advanced AIs. Maybe I'll try and stick with it some more and that's just a noob thought.

Are you playing on higher difficulties? I usually turn on the setting that gives them buffs gradually over time, rather than all at once. Otherwise they AI just gets to spam 50 corvettes at you for basically no downside, while you can barely get 20 going. There's also an option to make sure the advanced AI starts don't (or shouldn't) spawn next to you, giving you some breathing room. It does take some time to get used to it, but some PDX games are just made for different people. Like I love EU4, love/hate Stellaris, but get pretty bored with HoI4.

I will look for that setting when I start another game this weekend. Agree on the paradox games. vicky 2 and EU4 are my sweet spots. Stellaris and CK series not so much.
 
So Night Dive finally got around to remaking Turok 3. For some reason they removed the souls leaving enemy bodies when they're killed, but otherwise it's pretty good. I'm having a great time.
