I think I've settled on a basic skin recipe for my rank and file Orks - it's pretty fast and easy to do:

The primary colors are Army Painter Army Green and Necrotic Flesh - start with a base of the former and mix in the latter to highlight - this also lets you vary up the base color a lot so they don't all look the same. Recess shade with a mix of the AP red and blue washes, and then glaze with a mix of Necrotic Flesh and Ork Blood to add the pinkish hue to the (nose, lips and ears).

Squat Space Marine Commander Equivalent.

The rocks are fun but I'd want to replace them with a scratchbuilt stepladder, or a box of ammo, or something.

Red is Ymyr Conglomerate, Teal is Greater Thurian League. There are 4 other chapter equivalents that we have not heard of yet.

I'm not especially keen on that Squat captain, nor the Berzerkers that we saw prior, but aside from that I've liked all the other stuff they've shown so far.

This kinda redeem squats for me? Idunno I’m slightly intrigued now. I actually spoke with a turbo anti imperium grog/hates modern 40k and he kinda convinced me to like the votann.

The argument boils down to they would have just been not!imperium same drab aesthetic or forced in imperial guard. So you can appreciate them trying something new.

I don't think the fluff has ever been a priority for GW. Most times it seems that the crunch isn't really a priority either.
It's about selling models, and if they think a jetbike will sell then that's what they'll do, and throw some footnote in there about a newly discovered STC or something.

We'll they make a lo of money so it works I guess.

Tbh I think their justification in this case is funny because it implies that the Escher engineers got really fucking high one day and went "hey, bitches, what if we strapped these anti-gravs to this huge turbine and put some guns on it?" and then they just did it, the absolute madwomen.

Weird how a model company cemented on the idea of never changing led us to now.

You have lore purists mad at anything added but you have consoomers dry up over nothing new.
 
I just need to know how much they boxes will cost so I can make a apocalypse board full of Squats

i mean, while its called a jet bike, its not a jet bike i.e a space marine one from the legions

anti grav tech is pretty ubiquitous, servo skulls are fuggin everywhere and civilian anti grav vehicles are littered throughout the eisenhorn and ciaphas cain novels

evidently whats rare is military grade anti grav technology, this appears to be a jet engine with some anti grav plats slapped to it necromundas a pretyt high tech world after all.

People are always joking about the tactical rock we need to change that.

What if we have two rocks?

GW need to start including better diorama bases with their characters.
