Strange, guess I got my sources wrong, was seeing "public beta" several times from different people. Assuming "public beta" is the 4 day early unlock, in which case I hope those people who confused the two terms as the same thing are castrated. That being said, the devs even said it themselves for the multiplayer, which is what I initially meant.
The 4 day early thing isn't a beta. There's nothing "beta" about a game at that point, nor would it even be public. Lots of games have done this "preorder and get the game 3-5 days early" shit, even one of the Deus Ex games did it years ago except they treated it like a kickstarter and pissed everyone off so they cancelled it(it was the "power up your preorder", where you had to convince your friends to all preorder and once enough people did then they'd unlock the early access). Anything resembling a public beta(really more like marketing demo as by the time a game is due in a month it's long since feature complete and unless something is totally broken, there isn't going to be fuck all for input from players going into a day 1 patch). Also, the 4 day early access isn't exclusively for the multiplayer either.

So yeah, seems your sources either intentionally misled you or just had no idea what they were talking about.

Now this shit that I saw earlier... lol
Fucking grifter tourist. "orcs" haha

Ahh, I remember that. However again that "beta" I mentioned may have been for the multiplayer part of the game but they don't explain it.
HAHAHAHA, I know it's a single letter but c'mon now Grummz. If he's going to grift he can at least be accurate. INB4 "muh nitpicking."

Anyone got much experience selling models? I’ve got a load of the limited edition miniatures I’ve come to terms with the fact I’m never going to around to making and paying.

I’ve seen out of print stuff on eBay for silly money but I’m not convinced that it sells.

The /tg/ retard force is foaming at the mouth for merely mentioning names. You need to make your own fanfiction character or else you don’t fit in.

Consoooooooooooooom product! Don't even try to have any creativity. Durr that is retarded.

It is like hecking yugioh my Calgar can beat your Calgar!

It’s very niche.

I recommend that you find an actual WH40k forum.
Perhaps there there will be someone who wants the specific models you have.

You are probably right about it not selling on eBay.
Warhammer models are like Phantom menace merchandise.

Expensive at the time but not guaranteed to increase in value because the people willing to pay money for it probably already bought the same things at the time.

What will sell on eBay will be still in packaging models which mothers find in their adult son’s room or storage after he moves out.
They are more likely to put them up for under retail price and people looking for some models to start playing with will snap them up.

You could always try Facebook marketplace and just set the price at whatever you paid for them. Since the prices will be lower then eBay you'll probably sell it in no time.

Forgot to ask, are they in the packaging or are they painted?

If they are painted, unless they are really really good, then they probably won’t sell for anything close to original price.

GW is sitting on a gold mine with the book characters.

The Night Lords of Talos’s squad and Octavia, Septimus and their baby boy Decimus would sell out instantly.

Like they did Uriel but didn’t do his special friend Honsou, which is bull. Or Vorx from the Death Guard, a chaos lord with personality of grandpa.
And it’s not like they have a small tabletop game focused on squads they can be used to battle each other or anything

Brand new in box, most are still sealed. They’re just taking up room.

@FedPostalService You can look up completed listings on ebay to see the last sold and what for. Use it for trading cards all the time. You said they were sealed which makes them a lot more easier to ship and sell so on ebay I think you will sell them. You can do Facebook too, you'll have to filter through inane questions but again your stuff is sealed so you'll be fine. Look for selling groups too on Facebook as I use them for card games all the time and 99% of the time people are fine.

I am pretty apathetic towards Space Marine 2 after this year and seeing a troon writing for it cements my choice further.

Brother I can get creative like here’s my 30k white scar chaplain that is in charge of a Sagyan Mayzan force next to a destroyer stormseer.

I am just sick and tired of frankly almost antagonistic canned responses. Oooo named characters bad, oooo slop, ooooo bl slop.

Nothing wrong with named characters. GW just needs to throw some love at the xenos, lesser spess mahrine chapters, and or any of the Chaos warbands/legions that aren't the Black Legion.

Random thought I had for whenever they get around to releasing a Lorgar model for the Word Bearers fans out there. Since Kor Phaeron is still alive, have him get fucked up in a battle (doesn't matter if it's from Corvus, a random fight or Erebus being a dick) to where he has to be put in some sort of crab/insect like carrier or a specialized Helstalker. He mainly uses it as a pulpit, so for the tabletop, it makes him a tough support unit that either boosts your units or hinders the enemy units.

I know GW will likely not license such things, but since I first heard about 3d printed blueprints and designs, I thought that would be a good way for people to make named characters or even invent their own for games like Rogue Trader and Fantasy role play.

The miniatures are very helpful for those systems too.
I should think the potential for blue print piracy or people just simply figuring out designs in blender will put GW off allowing such things to be official.

It was a core part of the hobby for 20 years. Once GW used to accomodate it, they even made two legions DELETED RECORD for it in the beginning. So you could have the Legion AUTISM WARRIORs with their Chaos Primarch Null the Feeder.

With Chapters you could just make up your own. Imagine if in DnD you could only be Drizzt or the boot munching wizard Gale.

Speaking of which, I never understood how Kor Phaeron and Erebus didn't rise to Demon Prince considering both are directly responsible to the Heresy.
I think it’s that they don’t want to ascend. Daemonhood is something you want to pursue. Erebus and Kor Phaeron see themselves as prophets, heralds of the primordial truth.

They will not consider their quest finished until all submit to Chaos, and the other is murdered as an offering to the Dark Gods.

Wonder if they believe they'll be ascended in death

You shittalked Gayle and paid homage to the primarch in one post, you done good.

GW made a ruleset for Cursed Founding Chapters back in the day, outright encouraging kitbashing, crafting your own parts and making your own part of the world, we used to be a people.
