What are you guy's thoughts on the new velma series that just dropped?

Of course it's by a fucking Poo. They hate white people
Christ... I believe the Chokalingam is an Office or Daily Show alumni like most of the current late night hacks in Pedowood are. It's almost like Pedowood is an insulated community of propagandistic marxist Jews and their rainbow skin color wagies. My post-2015 life has had enough Curry in it, so I'll be skipping Apotheosis of Dung Velma.

Here's to the real one.

I think it's time to stop giving shows like this attention.
It has scenes with metacommentary on how it's going to stoke outrage online. That's the only way it can be relevant.

Lefties love it because it destroys something with anti-white rhetoric. Righties love it because it gives them something to make their outrage videos on, especially if they can do it episode by episode for maximum views. Just don't look.
I've seen this argument floating about, but I don't really get how it's to their benefit.
If the show it shit it's shit, people will bitch about how shit it is but that won't translate into views. There seems to be no benefit other than feeding the anti-youtubers who will make 10 videos each on how shit the show to earn ad revenue while the original creators will just fail,

It looks boring. The overly sexual and meta humor it relies on was stale years ago, and the one-dimensional personality each character has is pretty pathetic to say the least.

For portrayals, Daphne is a bitch, Scooby doesn't exist, Fred is a rich bro who has a small penis (its a joke they never stop shouting in your face), Shaggy/Norville is "totally not a stoner duuude", and Velma is a pretty unlikable person obsessively focused on mysteries.

I do love the claim that it's the top animated series on HBO Max, though. It's the only animated series on HBO Max.

It was made chiefly to "own (insert group/people who actually watched the origin material)" so of course it was going to be shit. If your sole purposes are to stir discourse, not deliver personality, and ultimately destroy what someone else created - it's going to be shit.

It looks bad, don't care.

It does lack that charm of the Hanna-Barbara cartoons where they hinted at detail and not just half arse the detail they wanted to put in, but I have to give them credit that it isn't full on Calarts style that every cartoons seemed to be the go to style for the last 10 years.

Calarts is the Alegra of the cartoon world.

Lol even the most leftist person realized that this was just a vanity project repurposed after thr first pitch failed.

I almost ( almost) feel bad for creators of shows like this. It seems to me that the biggest problem in the entertainment industry is that the people bankrolling these shows are so risk-averse that they won't hand out a penny to anything that doesn't have a built-in audience. If not attached to a brand, or part of a series, or an adaptation or sequel, it's almost impossible to get made. So all these creators who grew up with dreams of bringing their personal projects to life are being told it's just not going to happen... Originality and novelty aren't on the menu. Instead they have to snag up an existing IP and wear it's skin in hopes of getting it past the money people. This dream they've no doubt been developing has been warped into a shadow of itself while at the same time they've butchered a thing that was already loved. I'd be pretty bitter too if that's what I had to do in the hope of getting my vision on screen. It's no wonder we keep hearing about how producers and writers secretly hated the show they were working on. It's no wonder they openly deride the fans on the original work they've been forced to co-opt.

I didn't watch the full episodes, but I've seen clips.

It's easy to go down the woke rabbit hole, but the clips I saw legit perplexed me in it's humor and even the core concept.

The clips I saw of Velma talking to "Shaggy", with the constant VM joke was mind-numbing in its repetition. It almost felt like the humor was written by an AI.

Then I saw the court room scene where Velma testified that Fred is so stupid, he can't even feed himself and then Fred demonstrated this. I have been around severely retarded children that can feed themselves, so I don't even know what they were trying to convey with this. Is Fred a pampered rich kid that can't fend for himself. Well, pampered rich people are actually super capable of feeding themselves with additional rules and manners. Its actually an annoying trait they have. Are they trying to say Fred is retarded, because if they are, isn't that wildly offensive in current year (which feels more like an eon than a year but hey). Regardless of whatever point they are making, the scene was remarkably unfunny. There are ways to convey stupidity that are funny and this wasn't it.

Finally, the concept of the show confuses me. If it's a Velma show then why are Shaggy, Fred, and Daphne even in it? If they are all in it, then where is Scooby...the character everyone loves. If it's a Velma show then it should be just her. Having all the other characters there makes no sense and just makes it look like Scooby is being shafted for no reason. If Scooby is being saved for the end as some kind of last episode surprise....whatgood does that do? I'm not going to watch whole show just to see the character I want to see at the tail end.

I never liked Scooby Doo much outside of Zombie Island when I was younger, but I have nothing but contempt for this show and the gaggle of mentally stunted twats obsessed with this ongoing 60s cartoon that should've died decades ago and are only praising this mediocre new show because of their obsession with Velma being a lesbo, which quite honestly is forced as fuck and only became a thing because of some dumbass tweets made by James Gunn and some youtube tranny posting some out of context and uncited recording of Velma's original VA saying "I was mostly talking about girls" and treating it like it was proof of their retarded headcanon being totally intended in the 60s.
The whole comments section is just trannies talking about how Velma made them realize they were lesbians trapped in boys' bodies as children.
