i mean unless he needs it, for what i wouldn't know. the main thing is the tax issue is resolved with no proof of it being there, like you said it's hard to prove it isn't there, so where is the truth/proof for his hardcore fanbase. not even for detractors or w/e you want to call this thread. but for the people donating hundreds/thousands it seems where is the piece of paper with redacted information?

Except the people that make more money than Phil presumably don't lie and scam the money from their fans. If they choose to blow it away, that's their mistake. There's the difference. I mean, c'mon man, Phil talks about "being done with YouTube" and then in the same breath talks about how he won't get ad revenue from the videos because Nintendo would claim them. Now, I'm not saying that Japanese companies are ridiculously stingy with their products, that's a fact. Look at TeamFourStar's relationship with Toei Animation for clarification. But what I see is someone who's being ostensibly greedy with his supporters. Phil wants to get Patreon goals, Twitch sub/tips/donations, and YouTube ad revenue? Now... I'm a little more forgiving with people who can't make a promise, shit happens and sometimes you need to reorganize. I get that. But then attacking people who ask about the thing that they paid for? I'm sorry, but if I pay for something and I don't get it? I'm damn sure going to be raising hell about it until I receive what I paid for or until I get my money back.

Now, Phil can run his "Totally Not a Business" business how he likes, that's the beauty of free market capitalism. You can ply whatever trade you want, and in Phil's case? It's playing games. But as a consumer? Everyone of his "detractors" can also raise valid criticism and even scathing attacks about his "product" if it is less than satisfactory. Think about it in this light: If you're buying meat from a butcher who sells you poor quality meat, are you just gonna stand by while other people buy this crappy quality meat while they think it's high grade? Hell no. You're going to be pissed and raise hell until one of two things happens, either A) the butcher actually improves the quality of his product or B) he eventually is run out of business for failing to address the criticism.
