You say that, but there's a phenomenon you can observe in communities of people with some kind of disability, in which they integrate the disability to their identity, and begin to take pride in it. There's been cases of disabled people making their healthy children disabled; at least one case of a deaf family who went to a country with lax medical ethics (Brazil, I think) so they could destroy their healthy son's hearing so he'd stay in the community he belongs to. I've seen people argue against abortion or against gene editing technologies because they'd be used to genocide the disabled (by birth defect), down's syndrome, and autistic communities by aborting them or removing the traits before they develop, which they characterize as "fixing something that's not wrong, because there's nothing wrong with us".

The one that always sticks out, to me at least, is reports of crumbling or "exploding" teeth. It seems to have a real affinity for tooth enamel. This article from 2017 mentions it at the start.
