As some of you oldfags may remember, one of the worst disco spergs of all time was @Fuzzy Wuzzy a second life obsessed furry A-Log of Vietnamese descent who would consistently sperg about how Chris would not survive in Vietnam for a variety of reasons. Here are some quotes
And here he is bragging about sperging to Chris on Instant Messenger: https://kiwifarms.net/threads/faceb...-isnt-the-only-zombie.3752/page-9#post-236745
Phew! What a doozy! I decided to take things into my hands (even though he was banned 3 years ago for some reason) and scope out Vietnam myself. I will add with a caveat that I'm richer than Chris because I actually have a job and I'm not a fat lazy sack of shit. Here is my comprehensive analysis about whether Chris would survive in Vietnam.
TUGBOAT: As @Fuzzy Wuzzy said, Vietnam is kind of an ass-backward country. My tour guide told me Bath Salts had just emerged as a problem there when it's been fueling Florida Man for years in the US. They also don't recognize autism as a disease, and if they had an autistic kid they'd probably just lock him in the basement because they think he's possessed by demons. Vietnam doesn't have a disability system so he would not be able to receive a tugboat. On the other hand, Chris would have no problem finding employment being an English teacher because he's white or he could just collect his tugboat from America while living there. I'm not an expert on disability payments but I don't think you have to reside in the state permanently to receive benefits. ADF bounces from Portland to Oakland all the time and collects a tugboat from one of those states. VERDICT: MIXED.
SOCIETY: Fuzzy Wuzzy talks about how dey hate the damn dirty homos in Vietnam, but I didn't see any of that. There are no laws forbidding homosexuality like in other Southeast Asian countries and people tend to mind their own business. Also, if Chris lived in South Vietnam, they'd fucking love him because they're still butthurt about losing the war and love America. English is mandatory in schools and most residents could communicate with Chris. This is a huge plus for Chris, because as @garbageraider revealed to us when he stole Chris' Spanish homework that Chris isn't exactly skilled in learning languages. Much like Thailand, there are lots of Ladyboys who sing at bars and blow fire and do other weird tranny shit to make money so he could hang out with them at least. VERDICT: PROBABLY
COST OF LIVING: This is where Chris would thrive. Vietnam is fucking cheap. I bought a liter of Fiji water for like $3. I stayed in a four star hotel that heads of state stay in for $90 a night. He could get a variety of designer clothing for like $10 a pop because I think they just buy it directly from the factories or it's counterfeit. He could get his fast food for cheap. My friend bought a Hermes bag there and told me that she took it into the store in the US and they said it was authentic. The only thing I'm worried about is housing. Foreigners can't own property so they have to rent and Chris, being poor at managing money, may forget to save enough money to pay rent. VERDICT: YES
CREATURE COMFORTS: While in Saigon, I observed a Popeyes (WE DONT EVEN HAVE THIS IN CHINA), KFC, McDonalds, Burger King, and a Carl's Jr (known as Hardees on the east coast). So Chris would have all of his favorite fast food franchises, but he would have to do without Golden Corral. I think the lack of Golden Corral is a reason why Chris would live longer. If he wants all-u-can eat he could go to a Teppanyaki or something. VERDICT: YES
FINAL ANALYSIS: If Chris were to flee America and the DAMN DIRTY HATING TROLLS and head to Vietnam while still collecting his tugboat, he would live a more comfortable life there than in 14BLC due to the lower cost of living.
If Chris were BORN in Vietnam, like in some hypothetical scenario where Bob served in the Vietnam war instead of Korea and knocked up a hooker that sired an autistic fuckwit, it gets a little trickier but sans tugboat I think Chris would be more motivated to seek work and at the very least be some ladyboy singer "Christine and the Hedgehog Ladyboys" has a nice ring to it.
Please let me know if you have any questions or you think I missed something.
So these autistic people are just given evaluatuons with no further treatment? That's horrible... That's not really helping much. Back in Vietnam, the insanity plea doesn't help much and autism is a relatively new study in my country yet most people in the rural areas in Vietnam tend to think autism is caused by bad spirits.
I guess in America, everybody gets something they want eventually no matter how shitty they are. Back in Vietnam, it's either you work hard to live and even have a family or be lazy and die in poverty. I always thought Chris will be homeless but it seems that he probably won't and will have a roof over his head and vidya throughout his life and if lucky, have a caretaker wife. Sure I'm in college and have a job but I still don't think it's fair that some people like that stupid 40 something year old man gets to have a caretaker wife whereas the poor in Vietnam lives in slums yet work harder than him yet for less money. Maybe I'm lucky to live in America but I don't know. It just surprises me that a loser can live a dream of a sheltered life in America because we don't have that in Vietnam.
That rental house is nice by my standards because it seems big and has two stories. I never thought rental houses in the States could look like that. I always pictured them to be one floor only. Chris seems relatively lucky that insurance is paying their rent in that house. I wonder if that house has Internet? If it does, then he's lucky since insurance will pay that too because most cheap homes in Vietnam don't have Internet.
I'm Vietnamese. Good luck to him living under a semi-communist government. A lot of the stuff he owns would generally be considered expensive in Vietnam. And we have black markets for Goodwill stores. Also, drinks with ice in them are dangerous in Vietnam because our water system is unsanitary compared to America and they must be boiled before being served or made into ice. Not only would hebut also get sick easily. Don't forget occasional blackouts meaning his vidya experience would be ruined and so will his Internet.
I'm lucky to even live in Texas which is a part of the US. People here don't take too kindly to people who mooch off the welfare system and getting on thehere tends to be difficult unless you're a Mexican immigrant from a poor family. Not to mention they don't hand out disabled driver licenses to autistic people meaning Chris can't park in handicapped lots here.
But some people here seemed to speculate that Chris will die alone with a roof over his head. Sure he's lonely and stuff but someone mentioned that the government may relocate him to an apartment in a shady part of town for him to live in. That apartment is probably a lot better than the slums in Vietnam so I pictured Chris playing vidya as he wastes away alone in depression. Point is that he might at least have some kind of free housing and still play vidya. He probably won't die homeless let alone die in an institution. If he dies alone in a home, at least by my standards, he would have died with dignity since he wouldn't have died homeless.
Since when did human rights means to dress up like a freak and act out like one too? Also, dem stick arms! He's lucky to live in not only America but also in the state of Virginia where they let autistic people park on handicapped spots! Plus, he has his tugboat so he can buy whatever he wants with little money he has. He even gets to say whatever he wants too and not get arrested! In Vietnam, we don't have that same level of freedom of speech like Chris has and that people like him are thrown in asylums. LGBT is also a very new concept in my country and we don't have any laws about it and most rural people say no to this. In the end, he has no concept of human rights or even LGBT rights since we all know who he cares about; himself.
That's just sad... But also confirms my theory that any autistic people can be productive if they are raised to be part of society. I'm starting to think that there are still too many Americans who think autism is a terminal disease. Not to mention, unlike Vietnam, America is more than willing to provide resources for families with autistic children at the expense of taxpayer's money which shows how much willing the American government will sacrifice just to educate their people what autism really is. Back in Vietnam, some forms of autism is seen as a form of evil spirits possessing a person and shamans would be called in to perform exorcisms on these people. In America, they don't perform exorcisms on autistic people or at least that's what I hear so far.
You also mentioned how the mother keeps giving her adult son junk food. Sounds like she's been doing that since he was born. Last time I checked in America, feeding your children junk food into obesity is considered child abuse. What I don't understand is that how come feeding an adult child junk food into morbid obesity is not classified as domestic abuse? Sometimes, I can't tell if in rural America, coddling an autistic child for eternity as if he was suffering from cancer is the norm here.
Maybe autism in America can bond a son with his mother for better or for worse. I think that mother you mentioned wanted something that is the easiest "win-win" situation for her and her autistic son where both get to enjoy themselves doing what they want. But in the end, its all about how an autistic person was raised that defines them in the future from my observations on autistic people. Taking the hard route brings bigger reliefs and results in the long run than easier routes. In America from my views, there are many routes. But back in Vietnam, there is only the hard route due to lack of resources in Vietnam compared to America.
I wouldn't be surprised if Chris decided to commit suicide when his mother is gone but that's just me.
