Funny enough, his "my history of final fantasy" aka nugget of truth is he didn't start playing Street Fighter till super turbo. He says FF2 or FF4 in japan and FF3 or Ff6 in japan. then continues to call them FF2 and 3. At this point most people associate FF2 and 3 with, well, final fantasy 2 and 3. Small sperg. FF2us was actually called "FF4:Easy Type" in japan. So he's wrong there.
Oh and he calls aerith, aeris. Even corrected himself when he called her Aerith.
It's so odd how he's so super autistic about SMB2 but not Final Fantasy...which he plays the shit out of when he was a kid I mena he played FF2 (4) like a whole 3 or maybe 4 times.
I think its a couple of things. Phil actually played fighting games when he was younger so he'll always have the muscle memory just from playing them so much before his brain was fried by the gin. Its obvious he never really played any other video games as a kid or young adult so he doesn't have the muscle memory or skills down for anything else.
Also even with fighting games I think phil is basically just playing by himself independent of what the opponent is doing instead of actually reacting to them, if that makes any sense. Like phil knows how to push the buttons in the right order and timing to do moves and combos so he just spams them out regardless of what the other player is doing. You can tell how angry he gets when the other guy does something phil wasn't expecting because phil just expects every other player to use the same patterns he knows how to play against and gets thrown off when someone does something he has to respond differently to. Its why he never gets anywhere with new fighting games, he doesn't actually really know how to play them that well.
Phil is, ironically, a pattern player. He does things that worked once and then just does them. He's...how do cows call it...a flowchart player. That last match against a guile who knew what he was doing shows it. That guile last stream was aggressive but held back enough to always have a charge, one of those "dude fuck you" guile players. It really showed how phil's strat is like "spinning! thats a good trick". He's the player that will keep jumping in at you after like the 5th anti-air, they don't learn.
Phil also can't adapt but thats really obvious. That match was funny cause he bagged about how broke bison was in hyper fighting and how he'll just wreck people with him. Get one person who knows what they're doing or is semi-agressive and the copium comes out.
I'm genuinely curious to see how Philbert would act after a week of single digit tips. I'm not saying that as a joke either, his entitlement is on a level I never thought possible. He gets 150$ for two days streaming FF7 and on the third he firmly believes he'll get the exact same amount and not getting that is something he simply cannot comprehend.

I went to we'll call it an art college to avoid PL, not one of those ones fly by night ones an actual accredited one so we had to take humanities as a requirement for the school to keep it's accredited status. I had a variety of teachers, if you didn't like one you had 2 weeks to transfer to a new teacher of the same class or take an R which didn't hurt your GPA but you would need to make up the credits to graduate.
So I'm not getting the whole switch an entire major cause one professor was a douche. Is that a thing in them there book learning colleges not them thar making pictures ones?
