Minecraft

iYou've just described a potential followup of The Penguins of Madagascar
i can see i now, skipper and the boys break into mojang, hack into one the devs computers, fix minecraft, then lock the entirely of mojang and Microsoft out so it stays that way.
all while killing employees in their way and eating the employee's liver.

Lmao wolf armour is even more useless than I expected.
Wow. I get that it's a snapshot or whatever but that looks impressively lazy. Weird that they're only doing it on Bedrock right now.
  • Armadillos should have damage and knockback resistance while rolled up. Possibly reflect arrows too like shulkers.
  • Armadillos should drop scute on death.
  • Brushing shouldn't use a quarter of the durability bar and should probably have a short cooldown. Being able to spam it just looks lazy.
  • Wolf armor should let a dog survive a creeper explosion. It was always going to be shit but at least make it do the thing you advertised.
The armor also just looks kind of weird. The head and back half are single plates but the front half is three tiny plates strapped together. Just make the front half one big plate like the rest of the armor.

The kneepads look retarded and I will never be convinced otherwise. It looks like he's going to go roller skating. Leather wolf armor has been a thing in mods for a decade so my guess is that Mojang intentionally tried to make a "unique" armor style just like how they have "unique" takes on commonly modded features like copper.

We wouldn't want to overwork the poor 1000+ employees so I'm guessing the only thing that'll be tweaked is brushing durability and maybe damage resistance for rolled up armadillos.

To make an update:
  1. Take a nice QoL feature that players have wanted for years (or take something that literally nobody ever asked for)
  2. Make it require a crafting material from some shit mob and/or retarded biome
  3. Totally gimp it in the end, making it practically useless
Add useless mobs and gimmick biomes to taste, ruin the performance for 45 minutes, and serve. If people actually enjoy the feature, ruin it even more in a patch.

DreamWorks? Microsoft? Hire this man

I kind-of wish they added more breeds of animals to MC. That's a useless update I'd actually like.
Obviously dogs/wolves are a the main contender but other animals too like goats, pigs and cows would be appreciated.
It would be a super-easy update to implement as well -- just add more 2D texture skins and a randomizer. You wouldn't have to change animal AI or hitboxes.

Vintage Story has actually done this. They've recently added 11 different species for both deer and goats. I don't think they drop anything different but it still makes for neat variety.

Whenever someone proposes adding animal breeds into MC, the prospect that really peaks my interest is implementing some sort of genetics model that allows you to do animal breeding to some extent.

It's curious how few games implement that, to my knowledge. The one that comes to mind is Breeders Of Nephilim. I sincerely doubt that the MC devs would do it though. It may have been done already by a mod, though I can't quite recall.

Horses actually have it in a limited form.

Aesthetics is as far as I think Mojang would potentially go with breeding.
"Don't you know these digital animals have feelings!?" And all that.

Back when I played Minecraft, I never understood why they didn't add unique mobs to biomes which have nothing in them or make them more challenging. Jungles? No jungle spider variant (basically retextured cave spiders which spawn above ground in the jungles), no gorillas or piranhas. Mega taiga? Lots of cool terrain generation, but couldn't you have more of the supernatural mobs spawn there? Like a wendigo or some fae creature or maybe have the Illusioner spawn in druid towers in the biome? Mushroom Islands? No sentient fungus monster which attacks you.

They love to add new biomes for new trees and thus more wood variants, but the idea of more mobs just gets ignored. Why not merge the mangrove swamps and frogs with the already existing swamps? Why not add things that make the biomes more challenging or things which improve/change gameplay like they did with elytras and horses? Mojang loves to add features which really don't add anything.

Baby steps are being made in the field of biome specific mobs like camels and frogs, I assume biomes get added more often because those are most likely generated using a variable logic you can tweak to make the environment flatter, mountainous, etc.
Smack a few prebuilt trees down here and there and your done.

Mods have this with insanely fucking annoying bee and crop breeding and it can burn in hell.

Mojang would fuck it up, of course.
