I’d rather have all those problems in a wealthy family rather than having all those problems in a working class family.
Yeah but what if we differentiate - on one hand there are conditions that you find more tolerable, and on the other hand - there are conditions that will help you grow out of being emotionally neglected.
I feel like if you're poor, you're gonna be kicked in the ass for people pleasing, you will be worked and bitchslapped by life, and that will motivate you harder to figure out how to be YOU.
But if you're rich, if you're secure, if you never have to worry too much about how to survive another day - where is that motivation gonna come from? who's gonna tell you how to live if nobody cares, and you don't have to care either?
I think Rekieta was emotionally neglected to a certain degree. That's why he kept up personas that he would abandon when they didn't suit him anymore. It's probably normal to do so in your 20s, but he keeps going at it, and he's way past 40. He should know what sort of a person he is now, what are his boundaries, dreams, values - but he doesn't seem to know.

If a normal person had a fever, they'll just call in sick and say they have a fever, then fuck off back to bed, or likely that newly released video game. We've all been there, even if 80% of my fevers was due to "fuck work I'd rather shitpost on Kiwi Farms today, nigger sneed."
My fellow slackers, here's a good tip - when you need to make a sick call, lay on your tummy in bed. Slide towards the end of bed until your whole upper torso is past the edge, and your head is fully upside down. Your voice will be naturally nasal, your breathing will sound more labored, and any small coughs you can squeeze out, will sound much more realistic. No need to make up 107 degrees fever

Nick needs to lose at least 50 to 100 pounds. Then he can upgrade to a new lady rackets.

genuinely surprised Nick never used his e-fame to try and get her or other women he liked onto the show. especially ones that wouldn't trigger his audience like inviting pornstars or onlyfans sluts would.
I just gotta finish filling out the Rant data and calendar because I've been slackin' almost as hard as Nick has
i bet the per-stream income has an even larger disparity. easily made 50k in feb 2022, no doubt in my mind. now i would be shocked if he made 2k this month
aside from the youngest daughter having regular nightmares,
i know people will give me shit, but i have a strong feeling growing up with these two as parents during the worst of their mid life crisis 100% is the reason she has night terrors more than the other ones. the oldest one is probably fine though, its like Prince William, if you are old enough when your parents decide to become laughing stocks it doesn't ffect you as much because you can see them as equals or just regular humans and don't need them to be the almighty protectors you need as a kid.
The kids are educated
this is my biggest question and a big reason people mocked homeschooled kids for decades, and the fact that the oldest is enrolled in "regular" school and Nick never bragged about that kid's SAT or PSAT scores means he probably wasn't as over educated as Nick's fans liked to believe.

We're seeing Nick at his best, i imagine nick hung over and "sober" teaching kids must be awful, i would be surprised if they know more than your average black kid their age.
Children have been statistically proven to do better in a stable household with 2 traditional parents.
and up until 2 years ago Nick was held up as a shining example of what was meant as a stable household with 2 trad parents.
The homeschool community in the USA is so beyond fucked up that I've always fantasized about starting a community watch thread,
I mean it makes sense for them to be the most fucked up, the only reason you'd take your kids out of public school to do it yourself is if you're both poor and actually paying attention. even the stupidest kid at a private school or catholic school is usually in the 75%ile compared to a public school just because literally any barrier of entry keeps the minorities out. So because homeschool is entirely the domain of poor helicopter parents its rife for lolcows, the stereotype of homeschooled kids being religiously nutty doesn't help either, sure you might be smarter but you won't know how to deal with people of different races or cultures. There's a reason everyone hates Mitt Romney outside of mormons.

even the best case scenario homeschooled kids will struggle super hard because i doubt their parents will have taught them about how different their ethnostate lifestyle is to the rest of america
I would personally aim for a more ideal situation absent all the culture-mongering and anxiety of the modern school system, but I would have zero interest in any social pandering for either myself or other people's children even.
thats what private school is for, GATE was the public school's answer to that and you can tell by how quickly they passed through a fuckload of funding to start those programs once private school took off during the bussing and desegregation eras, as well as how quickly public schools are dismantling such programs literally in the name of "equity" the same way reality shows start being honest once the "scheme or prank" is finished.

Homeschooling is just a sad workaround for people with too much time on their hands who can't find a single place in a huge area that they feel comfortable putting their kids. especially with how many religious schools do a "one cost/unlimited children" fee someone like Nick really has to be full of himself to think he can teach higher level concepts better than actual educators.
They as might as well be in a school system that is properly suited to work within their circumstances and allows the children the space to actually breathe away from their hyperactive parents.
i've never been to MN, but it just feels like bullshit to think there really are that many extracurriculars happening during the non-school hours. I live in a major city and even here i don't think there is any sports or programs for kids happening outside of school hours and the market would be a lot fucking higher than rural MN. If anything i think the Rekieta's have been fucking themselves with their rural lifestyle, the reason the kids are shoved in cars all the time is them having to constantly drive back and forth to "the city" for all their homeschool stuff whereas it would have been a lot easier if they lived in "the city" but Kayla's family got all grumpy about how long the commute would be and Nick's parents said "fuck no" about buying a smaller house in "the city" so instead they just commute. I know quite a few people especially of their generation who got the mcmansion in the rural area and just toughen out the commute but they're usually smart enough to just shove their kids into public school to lessen that chaos. Then if they do have "debate club" or other bullshit they can get their friends' parents to help them out. i'm sure almost every human has had their friends' parents either pick them up or drive them home from some bullshit activity.
. People are often wrong, and we learn best when there's ample opportunities for that to play out.
the best thing about school especially pre-teaching to the test was that you did get to learn about other perspectives and ideas, and a big reason college was demonified was because it usually was the first/only place where a teenager might discover something beyond a network tv and top40 understanding of anything in the world. as much as people would be shocked college was also where i first got a lot of my liberal viewpoints argued against by professors, it was the place that taught me there were actual differences between races and how media propaganda works and a bunch of other stuff that bible thumpers in the local community could have never taught kids. stuff that retired boomers are praising now they were grounding kids for back when the teenagers brought it up years before. Homeschooling prevents that for good and for bad. I have a genuinely hard time believing anyone would prefer a Rekieta led sex education course vs a public school one.
A 3,000 dollar/month snack budget is nice, except the parents love starving themselves and getting weight-loss surgery and glorify eating disorders.
was this always like this or was it a recent thing? this will always be a question until one of the kids goes full Prince Harry.
I would envy other kids with the latest shiny thing, lack of scalding for doing bad homework and whatever else.
the fact you couldn't even focus on the material wealth part proves that clearly wasn't the reason for the envy. Also how many kids of tiger parents end up doing shitty after their degree doesn't help them as much as having good connections does, or how many of those tiger parents find out their kids want nothing to do with them or their ancestral legacy. You'd be surprised how much cool shit i have from boomers or GG types who discover their kids they brow beat their entire childhood now don't want any of their parents or grand parents heirlooms from the days of "america's white supremacist past" turns out those kids with those high earning jobs might not want their own kids to be around the same people that beat them either, at least if your kid lives with you you're guaranteed to have a strong relationship with your grandkids. I know of at least 5 people who didn't even realize their grandparents were alive, until the funeral happened because thats how badly their parents were treated by them.

if your will is weakened in one respect, like with drugs or alcohol, it makes it so that you are vulnerable to other things that weaken your will, and it stacks

thats a big reason why people tend to get worse with this sort of thing rather than better, and why the longer you fall, the more time you'll be spending making the climb, if you even feel like trying ever again

Nick Rekieta is also a narcissist who believes he can buy his children's love by taking them on vacations, just like he believes his money buys him cool friends like Dax Herrera.

Damn, if I was so poor that I could only afford to buy a friend like Dax, I would fucking kill myself.

Education majors consistently graduate with bottom-quartile GPAs. The average teacher is not smart.

i've never been to MN, but it just feels like bullshit to think there really are that many extracurriculars happening during the non-school hours

With five kids it’s absolutely possible to be booked every night, and frequently double-booked. One kid on a decent club or travel team could be practicing three times a week and playing twice. Rackets has five.

college was also where i first got a lot of my liberal viewpoints argued against by professors, it was the place that taught me there were actual differences between races and how media propaganda works and a bunch of other stuff that bible thumpers in the local community could have never taught kids.

The Bible thumpers didn’t challenge your liberal views? Never seen a Unitarian thump a Bible.

I have a genuinely hard time believing anyone would prefer a Rekieta led sex education course vs a public school one.

Rumble paid good money to host one, but given the contract issue I think your position has been proven correct.

EDIT: I’m not implying the kids shouldn’t deserve pity. I’m simply pointing out that they’re going to be able to afford therapy or a gay ass college degree so they can get some fucking sinecure position in their mid 20’s like every other psychologically damaged upper middle class American with hedonistic parents.

Too bad Nick has said that he doe snot want to send his children to uni because they have not expressed interest, he thinks it is worthless except for high science degrees, and his children want to be streamers or independent coders and creators. He told people this proudly at the end of Depp or shortly thereafter when someone asked if the kids funds for uni were covered.

Nick can spend as much as he wishes on whiskey because he never planned to save anything.

and up until 2 years ago Nick was held up as a shining example of what was meant as a stable household with 2 trad parents.

So the people who pretended to be stable but were actually not stable disproves the fact that actually stable households are the most beneficial? I cannot tell what you are trying to say.

Nick really has to be full of himself to think he can teach higher level concepts better than actual educators.

They only teach Maths and English at home and the rest is taught at the co-op. Nick teaches some kind of Civics in the co-op for upper secondary school students. He does not teach any other classes regularly except when Kayla is sick.

i've never been to MN, but it just feels like bullshit to think there really are that many extracurriculars happening during the non-school hours.

The thread has mapped out his children's extra curricular activities and locations, and the websites list their hours. Many of them have hours between 10 AM and 9 PM.

was this always like this or was it a recent thing? this will always be a question until one of the kids goes full Prince Harry.

You seem fairly uninformed of what has been discovered and discussed extensively ITT, and it makes it seem like you have a stronge opinion that you are justifying ex post facto while admitting ignorance of topics you opine upon.

This fucker isn't even going to make it to the election. I predict Nick will abruptly stop streaming by July of this year.

A streaming hiatus at the start of the year would have been the smart move. He could pretend he was taking time off for his family, health, and to renegotiate the Rumble deal and re-focus the channel content. It would have let controversy settle and it is not as if he would miss the 1 or 2k USD per month all that much...

Beat me to it.
Am I the only one who is a bit sus that he makes these posts this close to show time? It should be pretty evident earlier that you won't be able to make it, or probably won't.

Just seems like "mom, I'm sick, I know the bus is here in 5 minutes" vibe.
I was gonna say that announcing the cancellation at around 9PM central is actually incredibly early for him
