Running a bit behind, but if cops found one big bag (18g+) of coke, and a bunch of small baggies, and a scale, and scoops and weighing pans, Nick is very lucky they didnt try to nail him with possession with intent to distribute. If there had been any significant quantity of cash in those safes, he probably wouldnt be so fortunate.
The report said there was a digital scale in the bedroom where they found the drugs (and gun under the bed). God knows what else was there.

6 miles and the kids had to be driven around? (Passed a landfill lol)

They could have biked, or at least walked. Weak men like rackets the degenerate create bad times.

If a gram gives 25 doses then he had 26.67*25=666.75 doses worth of coke.
lol nobody is getting 25 doses out of a gram, especially someone using as much as Nick. .1 is closer to average, and I'd be willing to bet he was doing 2 lines at a time, so probably 5-10 doses per g.

IMO, Nick is probably the person in his circle with the most money, meaning he can procure volume at a better price and pass that along to his friends/whores. This is why he had the scales and bags - I don't think he was dealing in a traditional sense, but I bet he was the source for his friends. This will fuck him, as dealing, especially in the proximity of kids, is free candy for prosecutors.

My 2c prediction: people are too optimistic on his charges, but I agree he will likely fail probation. Someone in this deep to the level of their house being in disarray and thinking they have the facilities to represent themselves in court are not in the place to change their life. The cliche is true, you have to admit you have a problem first and I guarantee Nick is blaming everyone and everything but himself and his actions right now. Until he accepts that, there is no redemption.

It's incredibly sad to see, but I have heard stories in AA from people who were lower than Nick and rose above it. A good program, a social net, and sobriety go a long way. We will only see this when Nick is ready for it though and we're still far away IMO. My prayers are with his kids right now, I can only imagine how much it pained that pastor to make that report.

One last thing: Believers don't usually involve outside parties (police) in conflicts like this unless absolutely needed, and I'd be willing to put money down that there was at least one, if not several interventions by his Church before the pastor felt compelled to involve authorities. This would have been group decision, at least from church admins, after other options were exhausted.

In other words, this has likely been going on for a long time and the pastor felt he was out of options, after likely already having multiple talks/discussions with Nick and his family.

All just my 2c though.

Why do they look so gay? Like that just looks like a tiny sex toy I would be embarrassed to carry that around
I prefer the metal ones that don't expose to the world you have illegal substances inside them.

I do get the impression that Nick and company are either lightweights or there are other drugs that the cops didn't find in the search, because man oh man was he fucked out of his gourd on that stream.

Fuck it, at some point, you have to do what's right. Letting this fly with an obvious and public crack addict is harming the kids just for some vague future trust issues would not be the stance of a moral and good person.
How could he look his congregation in the face and try to act as a moral compass with those kids suffering? He would lose all personal and public credibility.
i'm not saying the pastor was wrong to do this.
i'm saying the cops are wrong for outing him as the source. if they just let him keep his anonymity everything would be fine.

That would be a felony and require an additional step. I wouldn't rule that out as something in the future.

Does distribution HAVE to carry with it the implication that the individual was selling the drugs for money? I'm asking because if April said something like "I didn't own or purchase any of the drugs, I've just been staying here and doing the drugs given to me by Mr. Rekieta! Oh I'm free to go? Thanks!"

Also, is it too late to add charges? These are things I just don't know.

He is going to get angrier and angrier as there's nothing he can do within the scope of what he wants to do. I just don't know where his anger will be directed when something finally gives.
incredibly dark post my man but you are 100 percent correct based on what i saw in that hearing today this is a man who did not learn a fucking thing and he is gonna be out for a vengeance. Honestly SHOCKED that they even let him have that hearing and early release when it was clear he wasn't anywhere close to sober yet.

Fuck it, at some point, you have to do what's right.
that's ultimately it. You aren't 'outting yourself' as a snitch for finding and exterminating repugnant behavior, it's a call to action to get the whole town pissed off about this stuff. This is how lynchmobs work and they do a great job of stopping people from re-offending. Lead the way away from degenerate behavior.

Why would someone order so much coke at once?
Nick saw Goodfellas and Scarface and said “I wanna be like them!”
I thought he was on Booger Sugar for a while but I thought it was weekly 8-Balls.

At this point who knows maybe part of Conservative Libertine Hedonism was to start up a little exclusive drug dealing network. There is no reason to have so much coke unless he was selling or the whole family was going skiing. The latter I think only Keith Richards family would do.

Aaron is an unreliable narrator but for what it's worth he claims that the Rekietas were doing these drugs long before they met April. When did he meet April, and when did he start following the coke dealer on Instagram? Those dates might confirm or contradict his claim.
Around 3rd/4th week of Oct 2023 is when they first met. At a Chrissie Mayr comedy show in MN.
