I think you guys are supremely optimistic about NY lawyers not being anti-trump enough. People I thought were sane are completely deranged on the subject of Trump and willing to throw away any legal safeguard, any custom, or any moral to get him. I would expect anyone who voted Biden in 2020 to vote "Guilty" just to fuck Trump.

One of them said outright on the questionnaire he agrees with some of Trump's views. Which means at the very least he doesn't have TDS.

I have no idea why two lawyers or anyone in the legal field was allowed on that jury. It would have been right around my third question when it came time to choose jury and everyone who answered yes would be off. The prosecution knew, for a fact, how flimsy their case was and the judge was clearly on their side and giving helpful tips where he could.

Now, I will stress since people mistake me for someone with a lot of hope. I am not saying that this case is absolutely certainly going to be a mistrial. What I am saying is if either of those two lawyers, let alone possibly both, are in the acquit on basis of legal fuckery camp -then- this is doomed to mistrial. And there is no real good reason to state either wouldn't be. One has the stance of "I agree with Trump on some things, disagree with him on others" which makes him non-TDS and I would argue a likely "acquit on legal fuckery", the other lawyer is someone who noped out of politics entirely, reads fairly biased but otherwise kinda centrist magazines, and is hardly prime TDS material.

And neither would be the juror that has been noted by everyone as actually liking Trump visibly. Which is either Juror 2 or Juror 5. And the thing is, its -not- Juror 5. Because the media slipped up and said that the eager juror was male. Meaning it -is- Juror 2, and Juror 5 was rather blatantly pro-trump in her questionnaire. So we have 2 for sure pro-trump jurors -and- possibly two 'pro-acquit on legal fuckery'.

In short, with at least one lawyer on their side we would have 3-9 at worst which is.... well, very not-productive to getting a result other than mistrial. Brow beating down one guy would be easy, brow beating 2 is kinda hard because they reinforce eachother, 3 with the third having an inbuilt resistance to budging period is a guarantee.

No matter the result, I am very much looking forward to seeing the leaks from the jury after!

I wonder what happens to the trial if one of the TDS jurors just snaps and beats on one of the stubborn three. I know it won't happen in a billion years, but clown world means I do have to consider the possibility that they escalate beyond merely theoretical browbeating.

Both are removed from the jury pool, replacements are put in, and basic human nature means the remaining two will never, ever change their views. And don't worry, there are not enough backups to do this to all three which means if it -did- somehow happen multiple times it automatically mistrials due to lack of jurors.

I will happily say, with complete sincerity, if that were it happen I would eat a hat. And I know very well what weight that promise carries on the Farms. it will probably kill me, but after witnessing such a miraculous thing I think I'd be ready to meet my maker.

That 12% and 6.3% increase is from what the previous mayor cut it down to because he was all in on defund the police. The LA mayor is only increasing police budget because they know they fucked up, she still believes in restorative justice and other nonsense, and she still wants to make it more difficult for the existing police to actually do their jobs
