I do not care about Gaetz either way. No strong feelings.

I do wish Ken Paxton had been on Trumps Radar though. Maybe he's needed in Texas currently, but if that man isn't AG during my lifetime, I'll be sorely dissappointed.
I like the Gaetz pick. However, it does feel like he is one Trump would spike in order to get the person he really wants in easier. So you might just get Paxton anyways.

I'm feeling pretty good right now that we were right Kamala truly is a sacrificial lamb for Trump. I did not expect Biden to be so wise to have figured out it's better if Kamala gets destroyed then himself.
She's got some allies still trying to find a suitable scapegoat and the progtards will never publicly admit that Kamala was horrible. But the old guard know what a disaster she was and are probably going to bury her for ignoring them in favor of doing whatever she wanted or listening to her zoomer staffers.

In reality: They didn't have one.
In their heads: Whatever -they- believe would have won the election.
Their message was the same as everyone who's not for Trump: we're not Trump!
Until it became painfully obvious that many of his proposed policies would be wildly popular and they were forced to copy them whole cloth.

Then they were left with only Kamala's personal charisma and convictions--or in other words, nothing.

The treaty at the end of WW2 that Germany signed (and I assume is still in effect) states that they're not allowed to have factories that produce military weapons, and that their military has to be under a certain level. So that might influence Germany being unable to arm itself, though that wouldn't prevent other countries from doing so.
Sounds more like the treaty of Versailles after WWI. Germany absolutely can and does produce weapons in domestic factories. Germany is the seventh largest weapons exporter in the world, after all.
Germany can surely arm itself, and is armed, but the dysmal state of the German army has other reasons. Historically, the German army was basically seen as a basic defense force in case the Soviets invaded, and were intended to hold them off until the real armies of NATO arrived. So the army was never really very big, and while it was decently equipped by some standards and well trained, it was small and purely defensive. But more importantly, due to NATO being held up by the US and decades of relative peace, Germany could afford to let its army rot away and be under DEI ministers who don't know shit and only cared about making APCs suitable for pregnant women and putting little fridges in the barracks and adding combat uniforms for pregnant women. And trying to fuck with H&K over new standard infantry rifles.
Generally, the German population and the politicians aren't too fond of the army. You'd never hear anyone say "Thank you for your service" here. Military is seen as a necessary evil, but for the most part we just hope that the US takes care of shit.
And so we could blow our budget on gibs and gender studies at universities, and that's coming back to haunt us now. As we like to say, die fetten Jahre sind vorbei. Economy is in the shitter, the Russian is at the gates again, and we need to make some hard cuts somewhere.

It's a bit of Something Awful forum slang. It means "trans goon", goon being what they call each other, like kiwi or farmer here, if I'm not mistaken, and wasn't a derogatory at first.
Yeah the owner of sa did a forum raid on some site and the reply was something like you and your goons

The sa members took it up.

Also the very first sa trans thread would now be considered very very problematic

I heard Retired Col. Lawrence Wilkerson talk about the Christian Nationalism in the U.S. military and what that might mean for the Constitution; high ranking officials who flop around on the ground and claim to speak in tongues. He noted Trump's propensity to exploit these types of people. He also claimed Israel is a strategic liability.
And what is the difference between speaking in tongues and troon lingo like "egg cracking" in effect, really?

Most successful lolcow to ever exist and will exist.
Would figures like Napoleon count as a lolcow? I mean he did let his (admittedly mostly deserved) ego get to him in the latter half of his time as Emperor, and he did like his women to not bath for a few days, so maybe?

Olivers actually well known in the UK.... for all the wrong reasons.
I still wouldn't say that he was well known. Maybe infamous, in the right circles

I was watching Pointless a while back. I forget what the category was, it may have been UK celebrities who've become successful in America. John Oliver was one of the answers. He was a Pointless answer.

I don't get the appeal of John Oliver because the guy just looks retarded.

So the new spin on X seems to be "after California spent days printing, oops we mean counting ballots, Kamala has won the popular vote! Most of America hates orange man!"

God I hope the rumors are true that project 2025 makes it legal to beat these retards to death with hammers
AP shows 93% counted in CA and he's still 3 million votes ahead

Pretty sure the treaty simply says German military is not allowed to operate on German soil. That's why the Munich Olympics disaster was such a disaster - only the military had Designated Marksman Rifles and the military weren't allowed to operate on German soil.

Let them have hope. It makes the salt better.
