What culture has the worst cuisine?

I'm overwhelmingly Scandinavian in ancestry, but Lutefisk is fucking disgusting.

Also, it is better to use crawdads as fish bait than to consume them directly. That is also disgusting.

Added in edit: Whoever devised "clam chowder" should be shot. I am aware they are dead, but we can shoot a corpse, can't we?

Ah, the maggot cheese.

I've had deep-fried scorpions on-a-stick, stewed crickets, chicken sashimi (raw chicken in a sauce; just... don't) and I could probably be convinced to try even the infamous "piss eggs" on a dare, if I were drunk enough, but the risk of live maggots burrowing into my gut wall is where I draw the line.

there is only a limited selection in most countries, no roadkill and ratmeat outside the us.

Turkey is a holiday meat that you eat once or twice a year, I mean we eat carp for Xmas, I know which one I'd rather have.

North American Boomer culture.

1. Every vegetable boiled
2. All of the fat removed from the meal.
3. Literally no seasoning (salt or otherwise)
4. Everything else overcooked

And people wonder why the following generations eat out and did not bother to learn to cook.

It's okay to be gluten-free if you have a sensitivity or allergy to it. But these people skip gluten because they don't understand it is literally not harmful to you otherwise.

The people born with gluten problems and type 1 Diabetes literally just eat more fruit and vegetables instead of that trash. Literally every person I have ever met with these conditions was an uberman with pristine health.

The people without these conditions all look like goblins and ogres on the diet you describe.
 
Brits still eat like the bombs just got dropped on Coventry. Is it the worst? Probably not in a world where things like Balut exist or whatever weird shit they eat in Mongolia and other, off the beaten track places like that.

Inuit/Yupik/whatever other people who live in the Great White North.

Kiviak: Stuff a dead seal with seabirds. Bury it for months. Dig up and dig in.

Stinkheads: Fill a barrel with salmon heads and guts. Bury for a week. Enjoy.

Muktuk: Like pork rinds, except instead of pig skin that's been deep fried, it's whale skin that's not cooked.

Raw Seal Meat and Organs: Exactly what it says on the tin.

Akutaq: AKA Eskimo Ice Cream. A mixture of rendered fat, rendered oil, fish flakes and berries.

I used to post on a forum where one of the members was an Alaskan native (or maybe only his wife was? I don't entirely remember) and he'd post stuff about the food that he made. It was never appetizing but always fascinating.
 
Definitely Ethiopian (Also I guess Eritrean and Somalian). I mean come the fuck on you guys were colonized by ITALY (Granted it was only for a few years during WW2, Eritrea and Somalia don't have this excuse though) and your food still looks like different variations of vomit and diarrhea.

If prepared correctly, all those varieties of poop, shit, excrement, and feces actually taste pretty good, which, last time I recalled, was the benchmark for what counts as good food.

Admittedly, Ethiopian definitely is an acquired taste, and almost every restaurant I've been to serving it has no idea what they're doing. You're not supposed to cook the beef, you're supposed to drown it in clarified butter and enough spice to make a grown bull elephant start sweating buckets.

Most nig nations have the same food. Rice, a lean protein, a type of bean, and pungant seasoning so they can stomach the same thing everyday. Some sort of slop they can eat with their mouths open. Jamaican or Afrikas, always the same.
How is Mexican any different then you wonder? They can actually season food right and use vegetables and prepare food beyond boiling. Love Mexican food.
not exactly, the spices are there to disinfect the food, otherwise it'd have lethal amounts of e coli and other pathogens, a lot of spices have some antibacterial properties

these people don't have clean water, washing ur hands in india or subsaharan africa will only make em dirtier

The worst will always be Indian food because even if done right, it still smells and tastes horrendous. Followed by the americans butchering every european cuisine in the worst ways possible and otherwise are only known for literal crap like mcdonalds.

I lived in the Philippines for about a year. My wife is Filipina. Hard disagree with you here.

I actually love Balut. Wouldn’t say it’s good to look at while you are eating. Other good Filipino foods are Lechon, Sisig, and Garlic Rice. Also you can get Mushroom soup pretty much anywhere.

Most African food (aside from cuisine in like, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia...) most of it is slop with the same tomato-onion-maggi cube base, eaten with giant balls of glue. It's troll food. I also think Indian food is vastly overrated with its perfume-level spices & again, mainly slop. I will break for like, chicken Korma and naan, but there's a lot of hot, perfumed slop going on.

The older Ashkenazim absolutely eat stuff like chopped liver and tuna salad. I won't touch either of them.

It's subsistence food, and not particularly suited to me since so much of it is fish and offal. I like nova lox but that's about it.

african food, russian food, ashkenazi food, icelandic food, inuit (and other societies that only stopped being hunter gatherers when they got christianized or islamized), certain kinds of chinese food also apply

all of these are starving peasant foods, gross but keeps u alive (tho i'd rather die before eating most of the foods on the list)

for jews its even worse cuz of the whole dietary restrictions, most jews only follow the "no pork" and "no milk and meat", and even then once u go abroad, all the rules go off the window

if ur really jewish, u have a bajilion more rules cuz god wants to make u miserable for abusing loopholes in his rules, even tho he put the loopholes there

I don't think that's even that bad taste wise, it tastes like strong gorgonzola, and you can always take the maggots out.

I think hakari, Icelandic rotten shark is way worse.

Then we have Kiviak. Traditional snack from Greenland. Basically it's a little bird, preserved in the carcass of a seal, which is sealed airtight and buried under stones to ferment for several months.

Last, but not least, we have a Bałut egg from Cambodia (also eaten in other parts of Asia). It's a fertilized duck egg, that's left in the sun to rot,; the embryo inside is insufficiently developed to show a beak, feathers, or claws and you eat it like that .
