I'm convinced that Iago is miles
Sabat seems too much of a main player to be pushed back into the second round of litigation
Miles being in the second round makes more sense in my eyes

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Ty said Iago is in the second round because they need some more time to sort everything out.
So they can make sure to absolutely ruin him and get him some nice jailtime.

I gave it some thought, but I can't think of an ironically low-effort way to animate his poorly-cropped head that would match the sentiment. Any suggestions?
I think you can do something similarly animated as Uh-Oh, but with Nick angryface.

Don't know if this is old news but Ron Toye has gone protected on Twitter.

We can only hope that he starts deleting tweets thinking that since hes not visible he can get away with it.

The beard pantomiming opposing counsel reading the tweets made my day. "YOU ACTUALLY SAID THIS!?"

We assumed that this was simply an internet based club of seemingly high school dangerhaired and fujoishs “mean girls” picking on and blacklisting anyone that didn’t fit their standards. Something that dwelled mainly on social media and the niche press.
You didn't suspect that from the start? These things are always being pushed by larger players with an agenda. There is always somebody behind the scenes dragging this easily led mob by the nose. The hashtag activism is less spontaneous grassroots and more organized marketing campaign.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if it turns out the leaders of the twitter mob are on somebody's payroll. "Influencers" have been a thing on social media for quite some time. No reason to expect that they wouldn't do it here.

So anyone wanting to speculate what the inevitable Law and Order SVU episode based on this looks like?

"Voice actress accuses super Christian voice actor of outright rape, SVU investigates and he gets arrested but right before trial Benson finds irrefutable proof that the voice actress is lying due to the antics of the online darkweb forum Aussie Gardens, which is described as an "anti-#MeToo hate group that crowdsources "evidence" to discredit accusers of sexual assault" by one of the detectives. Then the super Christian voice actor uses the evidence to get acquitted but (because the show thinks women should be trusted when they claim to have been raped) an actual rape victim of the super Christian voice actor comes forward but the waters been so utterly muddied by the evil voice actress (who is still defiant in claiming she's the "real victim") that the super Christian voice actor now has a defense against any further charges against him due to said voice actress's attempt to frame him for rape. Final line zinger says though, that at least that uppity Christian's career is ruined and fade to black"

What anime will Ice t say he likes?
"I watched this show, pop team epic it was super kawaii especally with Funimation™ 's dub"

I'm convinced Iago is Sabat. The "not an employee" of cons or studios, plus the fact that he is a "vice principle" of his company seal it for me. I can't find anyone who matches that. Does anyone have any proof of him bragging about how rich he is?

My notes from the video:

Iago (41:04):
-Introduction, "slimy, vindictive little shit"
-Not an employee of "companies we are interested in" (ie Funimation or Rooster Teeth) or any convention, yet has a lot of influence
-One of the people that of pressuring cons, including Kamehacon
-Has bragged online how rich he is
-Is the vice principle of his company
-Has threatened "one of [Beard's] other clients", presumably Todd Haberkorn
-Has a minion who does his dirty work, Igor
-Probably won't get hit on the first round of lawsuits

Igor (44:35):
-"Sad, pathetic little human being"
-Iago apparently has claimed that he will hire Igor a lawyer

I think that Rial and Sabat initially told them criminal charges were gonna be filed, so they dropped Vic. When that didn't pan out, they decided they would bring him back (why not, he's a headliner right?). Then Rial and Sabat probably threatened to walk, which given Sabat's featured status would have tanked the con. So the director capitulated, dropped Vic, and has potentially decided not to run any future conventions just because he doesn't want to deal with these people.

If that's true, then Rial doesn't know as much about the investigation as she makes it out to be. Like I said, all Funimation probably did is prove that both Rial and Vic were in the same area at the same time, not that any sexual assault or assault in general happened, and then them and RT let go of Vic because of a potential threat of walking if Rial and them didn't fire him, or to supposedly please Funimation fans.

Looking through the IMDB postings, Vic is the ONLY major voice actor for funimation that was never dependent on Sabat for his positions. Everyone else, Haberkorn included, relied on Sabat to put them where they were in the Anime subbing hierarchy. Marchi, Rial, Schemmel, Haberkorn. All of them had to dance to the tune demanded by Sabat. But Vic didn't. He has his own career and came in independently. Sabat did not like this. And neither did his flunkies. And the moment that rabid hamster in Kaylyn Saucedos brain decided to throw the panic switch and signal boost the fujoshies, Sabat and Company thought they finally, at last, had the excuse to do away with the rogue element in there niche little convention and voice acting racket.

Texas is an at-will state. Why would Sabat and them wait and give themselves a reason to go after Vic when they could fire him at any point? If none of this happened, would this mean that they all were just going to deal with Vic until he retired or something?

How far do these Cons want to go to bat for Sabat? Are they willing to be sued for intentional breach of contract? Because that is the threat on the table right now. They either comply and tell Ty what he already knows they know, under oath in an afidavit, or they get dragged into the mess too as part of the conspiracy.

I wonder if Sabat and Rial aware that we know what's up. Sabat tweeted the morning on Twitter after Ty's talk with Nick like nothing happened, and him, Rial tweeting like a child again and her and Toye are not commenting on the issue, despite it being brought up and eventually buried by people loving Sabat's stupid fucking Pop! figurines. At least Vic and Todd addressed the claims surrounding them and disputed/denied them. These motherfuckers aren't even discussing it; they're staying silent. Is that essentially an admission of guilt?

Oh WOW.

This is EviLore's hot take on all this:

View attachment 701537

Well, of course. EvilLore himself was a victim of this type of shit too, and NeoGAF exposed themselves for the idiots that its users are.

The sheer stupidity, the unmitigated arrogance of STILL doing this shit when they KNOW Vic has lawyers and they KNOW those lawyers are digging up every bit of info they can find on these chucklefucks. Amazin'

Yea, this shit happened around the time that Ron announced that he got his papers to not delete anything, which is

ANN is sponsored by Funimation and are friendly with them. They haven't 'reported' any news since the fake SWAT though, which they tried to spin as true and failed absolutely miserably at. Not even their forum goers were buying it.

Hmmmm....can anyone still access the police report poster by ANN for Samantha Inoue-Harte? I can't access it for some reason.

Oh yea a really funny thing happened was Nick got a complaint from Toye. And Nick gave a copy to Ty Beard so now Ty has all the contact info to Toye.

Don't forget proof of defamation, lol.

We've all seen Ron repeatedly talk shit and antagonize pretty much anyone seen as his enemy. My bf mentioned that this sounds like someone that's trying to keep the limelight on himself for as long as he can. This made the gears in my head start running like crazy and I'm now starting to think that Ron is doing this not only to help Monica, but because, for once, people are talking to HIM about HIS actions.

I could believe that, since Ron is mentally handicapped, but he essentially admitted to defamation and malice because of his own words and actions. Is he that stupid enough to destroy himself like that?

Don't know if this is old news but Ron Toye has gone protected on Twitter.

What in the fuck is wrong with Ron? He just got papers that said not to delete shit. He just said he wasn't going to talk about Vic anymore. Why is he doing this?

And does it really make a difference, Ron? We have all your tweets. You've implicated yourself in mischievous behavior.

Fucking GOD, Ron.

In fact, I'm (sadly) convinced, after last night, that ANN isn't really a priority target right now. And maybe they shouldn't be given the fact the target list is large, and resources are finite. We have an emotional desire to see them go the way of Gawker, for the lulz. Clearly however, we're finding out that there are FAR more dangerous people in this industry.

Maybe. Same can apply with Gizmodo and the io9 article. They have to be held accountable for SOMETHING, though. Retract or at least update their stuff with the responses that Vic had given to each individual one, the responses that Yellow Flash had in his video. Maybe not now, but when the true main players are dealt with.

Hell, they might even be dealt with now, and we just don't know it.

Pure speculation of course but I think the timing has to do with Broly coming back and becoming a canon character.

Vic was living in LA for many years and didn't do as much work at Funimation during that time, just smaller characters and directed a show for 3 months. Schemmel and Sabat and Rial and the others that hate him didn't have to see him much. But now that he's not in LA anymore and Broly is likely being brought into Super as a main character, they'd have to share regular studio time and do DBS con panels with him. They don't want him around and want Broly voiced by someone they approve of.

If Funimation and/or Rooster Teeth fired Vic for no obvious reason, some other company would undoubtedly snatch him up. Or maybe he'd even go off and start his own company.

Vic's beating them in the anime voice actors popularity contest, and they know it. He'd be much too dangerous as a free agent. No, must destroy his career first, so he won't be left standing to compete with them.

I think we're getting horse-blinders on Sabat, honestly.

Beard said they're looking at someone not employed by the two companies they're looking at (Funi and RT).

It could be argued that he's an employee of Funi due to him being a VA for their shows.

I think we need to widen the net out a little and include other influencers from places like Crunchyroll. They're not employed by either animation studio, they absolutely would have conve8ntion influence, and one of the top bubbas at CR could be vice principal of the company as well.

Edit: CR is a part of Otter Media, who also owns RT, and co-owner Kun Gao is ugly as fucking sin

Going by these parameters, then your prime suspect is none other than Adam Sheehan.
Credentials:
  • (December 2004 – December 2011) Conventions and Events Manager at FUNimation Entertainment
  • (February 2010 – June 2015) Marketing Manager at FUNimation Entertainment
  • (June 2015 – January 2016) Senior Manager, Events at Crunchyroll
  • (January 2016 – Present) Director of Events at Crunchyroll and VRV

  • Hates Vic Mignogna
  • "Friends" with Todd Haberkorn. When Todd responded back to Jessie Pridemore, Sheehan threw him under the bus.
UPDATE: Corrected the dates of the positions he held.

This is the thing driving me crazy
They are acting like if they pretend to ignore it, then it will all go away
Atleast Todd and Vic denied it, Todd even gave some physical evidence
This, they are acting like it never happened. Monica and Ron seemed to LOVE screeching about every little thing that comes out but now they are dead silent. It's really making them look even more guilty than they already are by not even trying to deny it

Their lawyer almost certainly told them to not make it worse than it already is. Vic and Todd talked about their situation before lawyering up.

Wouldn't those first two bullet points exclude him, though? He's an actual employee of Funimation, whereas someone like Sabat could be said to be an independent contractor.

Look at the dates, friend. Sheehan no longer works for Funimation. He works for Crunchyroll.
Would he be a "vice-principal" of an organization, then? That moniker applies to someone outside the official structure but with firing and hiring powers. Sheehan is a direct employee.

The ragging on Nick’s Office kind of shows their true nature as Hipster Elitist Douchebags. And is a great example of why everybody hates them. Nick’s “shed” is simply a prefab steel frame building, of the sort that are incredibly common in rural Missouri, which is where he practices. They are the common light commercial building in those areas. Nothing unusual. Nothing derogatory. Unless you are a city dwelling hipster snob. And Renfamous knows this. For all her airs she is from butfuck nowhere Texas.

Miles being in the second round makes more sense in my eyes

The first round of Litigation will probably be Marchi, Rial, Toye, Saucedo, etc, with maybe Funi starting to get dragged into it. In the same way Richard Meyer didn’t sue Marvel (yet) but simply Waid. You separate the prime actors from the pack, and don’t give the larger businesses reason to seek to protect them. Get what they know on the record, and force their cooperation then use that against the bigger targets. Right now nobody with deep pockets wants to be drawn in. By doing things like providing a lawyer they would be taking ownership for the bad acts, which they sure as shit don’t want to do. So the first round targets are those poor unfortunate souls who get thrown under the bus. They’re just too stupid to realize it yet. And really they have no way out of it. Their nonstop social media chattering has completely boxed them in. None of the businesses will indemnify them for a TI case because, holy shit, that makes them agents of the business in their actions, which leaves them liable not simply for civil suit, but for State or FTC action. Better to let them hang, and pray they don’t find enough rope to come after you, then to give them that rope outright.

Direct employee at Crunchyroll, but not Funimation or Rooster Teeth. Seems to have clout with conventions, given his resume on LinkedIn.
