Creepypasta Discussion Thread

I liked Natenator77 but his mic is shitty at the moment. I like longer ones if they are done right like The Thief in the Yellow robe or the puppetmaster's regime.

Gotta say. One of my favorite Creepy Pasta's has to be
Godzilla(NES) Mostly because of the sprite work. Its written really well, the only gripe I have is with the co pout ending.

Resurrecting this thread because I found a few good ones from a thread on \x\.

What was kind of unnerving about this to me was the hillbilly relative saying "it's outside, it came and it's outside", like they've seen it before. And the 5-year old was mauled by a "dog", and was never reported. And the thing is digging up his grave...

I originally hopped onto the Creepypasta train back in 2011, but I only ever liked Slenderman.

I used to regulate the Slendernation forums, I bought a custom made Slenderman plush, I roleplayed as him on Facebook, and Concrete Giraffes was one of my favorite videos.

I was absolutely obsessed. The Slenderman game ended up coming out 2012 and that's when the Creepypasta fandom turned to the worst. "Slender" filled the internet and shit-tier memes trashed any sense of community that may have existed. The Creepypasta fandom eventually filled up with non-English speakers and children who were convinced Slenderman and Jeff the Killer existed. Marble Hornets was coming to an end and TribeTwelve had obnoxious hiatuses...Slenderman died in 2013.

I tried to keep interest in the Creepypasta fandom but it continuously got worse. There's no hope for it.
Jeff the Killer, Eyeless Jack, Ben Drowned...they're all horribly written stories involving Mary Sues. They're a 13 - 16 year old teenage girl's wet dream and nothing more.

Sorry not sorry.

Every since the Deep Web became a popular topic every creepypasta has been this:
1) "I'm an experienced Internet user. I've been around since the Usenet and have been on all the Chans so you can trust me when I tell you I've seen some shit."
2) "One day I heard about the Deep Web or Shadow Web or Dark Net or whatever so I decided to give it a try."
3) "I connected to the Deep Web and in about five minutes I found a red room."
4) "A man doing a Joker impression and/or a Russian man wearing a balaclava hosted the show as a man was tortured in some horrible fashion and the people in the chat were cheering."
5) "I mention that this is pretty messed up and then they all hack my computer and get my dox."
6) "Now whenever I go to bed people from the Deep Web show up in my window dressed as clowns to passive-aggressively troll me."

It happened to me. But I bought a dog and everything was fine afterwards.

I agree.

And I don't know if anyone else feels the same but since the Deep Web became popular it seems like people is more attracted to scary tales about shady hackers, snuff, the Vega Ring, conspiracies... and when you compare this to a story about a cursed picture of a smiling dog, a murderous tulpa or a mysterious arcade from the 80s you can tell how much times have changed.

Yes. I'm super tired of seeing "I was on the DARK WEEB because I was curious, and I clicked a suspicious link named xxx666KillingPeoplelolxxx because I didn't knew better and I ended in a chat room with a snuff video livestreaming, and you guys won't believe, but my computer refused to turn off!"
Seriously, I remember that me and some friends were searching for bad creepypastas and I found one where the computer keep running even when the protagonist took the energy plug away.

I prefer cursed pictures and crazy tulpas, seriously.

Since I had a few posts liked and agreed, I'm necroing this thread again. I'm glad that the NoSleep stories are picking up traction. My favorites as of now are "My Family and I Have Been Stalked for 4 Years" "My Best Friend is Trying to Ruin My Life" and "Tales from the Gas Station".

I'm new to the whole creepypasta thing even though I've known about them for quite some time, I haven't paid much attention until recently.

I've considered writing my own creepypasta about Vampire: The Masquerade, specifically the LARP version of it and the kind of people that it attracts. Or just a LARP/Historical Re-enactment themed creepypasta in general.

Not sure of the best way to go about it though.

CreepyPastas are such a guilty pleasure of mine. A few of my favorites are No-End House (but I feel like it didn't need the sequels it got; the first one was fine on its own), Anansi's Goatman, and The Disappearence of Ashley, Kansas. Also a sucker for ritualpasta and lost episode creepypasta.

And I agree that Mr. Creepypasta and Creeps are the best readers, but my problem with them is more of how they read. Mr. has a nice pace for me but the emotion he puts out during high intensity moments take me out of the experience for some reason, rather than make me more invested. I generally like how Creeps reads, but his pace is a little too slow for me. Just my own preferences, but yeah, they're both the best readers in the community.

Lowkey glad there's a semi-active thread for this, I love creepypasta.

The ritual Creepypastas are great, The Devil's Game is easily my favorite with Channel Infinity a close second for opposite reasons.

Genrally the best creepastas in my experiance create a low key sense of disquiet, implying something is very wrong but denying the reader closure or the satisfaction of confirmable knowledgue Candle cove, smile dog and the better written slender men stories for example.
A lot of them fuck up by going into overdrive either going on for too long for what it's going to drop off, fucking up the pacing, engaging in wholesale slaughter or filling in too many blanks. Ignorance is the foundation of terror but despair kills it stone dead.

Jeff the killer fucking sucks so bad.
