Oh god if they really replaced the chair with CGI, that would explain a lot. They didn't want the girl to break the illusion.i was going to say "but the chair is right there, couldn't she just point to it?" then i fucking realized even the chair is CGI. Holy shit, they really do fly by the seat of their pants. say what you will about Roger Rabbit or Starship troopers but there's something to be said about actually having planned out your shit beforehand. Its very easy to react to something when there is a model there too. What happened to having some stupid doll or midget standing in that you take out in post either?
she could have gotten a prop but what if the director decides to change everything about the CGI in the scene? wouldn't it be smarter to give the little girl as little as possible so you can change everything around her at a moment's notice? the MCU does it and it worked great in the thanos saga.
