FatBoyGetDown / Steven John Assanti - MASSIVELY Overweight Leech, Proud Useless Asshole, Reality TV "Star", Still not dead via Fat.

I used to watch the earlier seasons if the show, but I've never seen Assantis ' episodes, and have no plans to do so.

Penny's and James K's episodes had me yelling at the tv, don't need more televised fatties pissing me off.

At least Assanti didn't have children he pulled from school to wipe his monstrous ass like the others.

(also if anyone wants links to all the Assanti episodes let me know, it took me ages to find part 3, it's actually only available through piracy it seems)
I'd love to see them! Please to be postink link, comrade!

I always find it interesting when a trash channel like TLC actually decides to "memory-hole" some episode of the assorted garbage shows they air. They clearly have zero shame about exploiting every circus freak they can find and they seem completely immune to criticism, so you have to figure they would absolutely never willingly scrub something on their own. I wonder why they decided to mothball this episode. My 600 lbs. Life is one of their more popular shows and Steven is certainly the show's most popular "villain," and he's not dead yet either.

In fact, this episode you mentioned is only the second episode of any TLC show that's been memory-holed like this to my knowledge; the premiere episode of Xtreme Waterparks Season 3 -- concerning the design and construction of the world's tallest water slide -- is the other. It was pulled after the slide decapitated a guest (whoops) and footage of its construction and testing from the episode was used during the ensuing criminal trials of the both the designer/builder and owner/operator (and related civil suits).

The funny thing is those charges were eventually dropped because the judge ruled the TLC footage was "sensationalized" and not admissible evidence, so the jury had to disregard it (imagine a court essentially ruling your docutainment show is such bullshit it's not suitable for use in a truth-finding endeavor) and that apparently made getting a conviction very unlikely. I thought that was bizarre, since the footage just shows the ride's rafts launching the test dummy sandbags into the air and off the track to their simulated demise (lol) and I'm not exactly sure how you could sensationalize that any more than it already is on its own.

I'm not actually sure why the waterslide episode is still mothballed though. I can't imagine "decency" motivated the decision (that ship sailed a long time ago) and I don't think anybody ever sued or even tried to blame TLC over it (they literally unintentionally filmed evidence that the slide wasn't safe and aired that footage, so it's hard to cast them as a villain in this instance), so it's kinda weird they never took it back out of the vault. Maybe they figured it'd be embarrassing to air a show gushing about a theme park ride that killed people. Odd time to develop self-awareness though.

My dad and I used to have this joke that after a certain point, taking absurd amounts of drugs has the ability to embalm and shield you from death no matter how fucked you look (à la Keith Richards). Stephen is making me believe it.

He's gone through weight loss surgery that he ate himself out of, his weight has yo-yoed over 100lbs during just his TV appearances, gone through total chemical detox then went back to using right after, used shit-tons of narcotics to the point that doctors had to up his dosage over twice the normal amount to put him under (and is literally on notice by the state of Texas for getting hundreds of pills per week), weighed over 700lbs but could still walk around and terrorize people, has probably been exposed to every illness you could possibly get from a cat (I hope the poor kitty is doing ok), literally refuses to shower yet has apparently never been seriously harmed by a skin infection unlike half the people on this show who try showering, pisses all over his house, etc. At this point I think he's also outlived almost every other patient on the show who had similar weights and attitudes, but not even James K descended that far down before death got him (then again his wife started killing him which sped things up probably).

Even as someone who takes the coof seriously (and understands pneumonia is usually a killer for obese people), I honestly do not expect this man to die from this. I fully expect future videos of him pissing off the hospital staff while they're keeping him alive. If he dies it will be by a nurse's hand. (also if anyone wants links to all the Assanti episodes let me know, it took me ages to find part 3, it's actually only available through piracy it seems)
Lolcows never die except by their own hand. I think once you reach a point of such general failure that the whole Internet starts laughing at you, the levels of spite in your system will protect you from anything except full-blown AIDS, and maybe even that.

I remember one time I think he was in the hospital or something and they wouldn't bring him more food and he literally started screaming unintelligible gibberish like a fucking newborn infant. I have rarely wanted to see someone just shot more, or at the very least slapped around like a little bitch.
Genuinly surprised someone hasn't turned his fat face into spaghetti yet, to be honest. He strikes me as the kind of guy to push your buttons even as he's tied to the radiator with a black bag over his head. He acts like such a gigantic asshole i don't believe has snapped yet, gotten a nice long stick, and gave him what for from out of his flabby reach

I firmly believe there has rarely been a more profound work of art produced by man throughout recorded history than this Demotivators classic:

The universe really does seem to have a viciously wicked sense of humor and irony, and occasionally chooses to spawn a "karma sink" -- a prototype never intended for mass production who not only seems hard-wired to attract as much negative karma and general misery to themselves as humanly possible but is also almost completely immune to its effects. Whether it does this solely to "lead by counter-example" to educate the rest of us or does it to serve as a kind of "heat sink" for negativity so we don't have to shoulder it all ourselves is a topic for wiser philosophers than me.

That's a really good point. There's even a term for healthcare workers who deliberately kill patients -- "angel of death" -- because it's been a recurring theme throughout the history of medicine. And you just know there are plenty more of them out there who've gotten away with it, too. Only the dumb or unlucky ones get caught.

I feel like there's got to be a name already for the stage of a civilization's existence where it completely stops dishing out severe beatings even when richly deserved, in the name of "being civilized and tolerant." I'm tempted to call it "the decline" since a natural consequence of that societal shift is the emergence of an ever-growing supply of assholes all too eager to exploit that endless tolerance and the affected society finds itself unable to stop them because the only corrective measure that will actually work is too unpalatable to take.

All Assanti Brother Episodes:

Original Episode Part 1
Original Episode Part 2
First Where Are They Now
As you can see, it's gone from google:
Screenshot 2021-12-26 at 15-12-46 my 600-lb life where are they now season 4 episode 1 - Googl...png

and in the google-generated episode list in the search results it's weirdly blank:

but I just checked and it shows up on their TLC website now. It's odd cause I could have sworn it didn't used to be there before. Plus a lot of streaming sites had removed it as well (probably when double checking against episode lists). I'd looked into buying the episode when torrents and streaming sites had failed me like a year or two ago but couldn't find it which is why I was sure they didn't used to have it
Part 4
Part 5 (called "The Assanti Brothers: The Final Chapter" for dramatics lol)

I thought this fatso died already? Like two or three years ago? Some fat man died that had a thread, who I am thinking of if it isn't Stephen?

Except that's not inadvertent what he's done, it's intentional. It takes effort to not only be that fat, but annoying. So it's not a mistake, he's functioning as intended.

I have never seen My 600 Pound Life and I honestly never want to but i think the hamplanet might be able to pull through from COVID even if it's a fucking meme-tier disease because we have at least some idea of how to handle it now compared to last year.

Oh yeah, not saying it's an accident or a mistake -- it's more like he was deliberately manufactured to draw in as much negativity and hatred as possible as a way for the world to sink its excesses of both into something that deserves it and can absorb it without immediately dying.

Meh. It's a silly metaphor anyway, don't give it too much thought :)

Honestly I think this is just TLC glazing over that sort of thing because Justin is a detestable human being and that makes way better television. Just looking at his elephant foot you can tell hes had innumerable infections and bedsores, I also recall him never wearing socks or shoes in his episodes because his lower half was so incredibly misshapen that they wouldn't fit, its more likely hes always so blitzed off his ass on painkillers that he doesn't notice or care.

That's true, I didn't even think about him being bad enough it wouldn't be as important. Maybe on some of his painkiller hospital stays he would get it checked on

As someone that is overweight, looking at this bulging purse of sweaty man-baby makes me want to hop on a treadmill and never stop. I have been slacking off lately because the holidays have been depressing, but I'm getting back to my routine. This worthless pustulent pondscum should be motivation more than WingsofRedemption EVER was.
