Thanks for dropping by! Your intuition was correct, there are at least six ferrets 🄰 who came from pet stores according to the Wiki. Adding to the "wants a lot of pets" theory, some number crunching has shown he has the tendency to take in a lot of ferrets at once shortly after one dies.
The rescue currently has 56 ferrets, and the majority of the care is done by Shaye (who goes by the title Exotic Vet Assistant) and another part-time employee. If you want to look further into it, their stream is here and the Wiki has a bunch of Twitch clips.

The only animal on URR that's gotten the "Valhalla" treatment is Big Ounce, but only because he's been a mainstay/meme ever since the start of the channel, and because he died of natural causes. Any other time a named animal dies, Ben just stops mentioning them in videos.
Jesus Christ it's bananas to me that he openly admits to buying (and calls it "adopting" sometimes lol) these animals from pet stores. That should've tanked his credibility re: being a legit rescue long ago. Dude is just a degenerate ferret hoarder.

By buying these creatures from PetSmart or wherever he's directly supporting unethical breeding practices (i.e. puppy mills), selling sick animals, poor or inhumane living conditions and so many other ills. This stupid retard has me MATI.

It's so much worse than that.
The whole concept behind his "rescue" is that they're taking sick and/or dying ferrets and giving them a peaceful place to pass on.
Whats actually happening is that he's taking in young, healthy ferrets and subjecting them to awful living conditions.
It's animal abuse, pure and simple.
Quite frankly, I don't give a shit about ferrets. I think they're disgusting creatures. BUT, I keep thinking: "what if these were cats or RATS??" and that makes me care.
I'm wondering how much concrete evidence we have for abuse/neglect. I think the streams are pretty solid, with all of the visible lack of cleanliness, but also the statements from Mald and Shaye always just seem a little... off.

I actually have that stream in 720p now. I chopped up the coding segment to hopefully make it easy for our lovable autistic code reviewers to comb through all the text. I clipped out bits of him playing the game and staring at an unchanging screen, but made sure to capture error messages. I figure since we've already got the full stream where he's talking, this will ignore that and focus on the code. I've still got the full stream kicking around so let me know if you'd like something more in full.

He sounds like he's gonna cry. REEE I'M THE ONLY GAMEDEV ON TWITCH WERE DYING WHUDDAFAGGOT
The best part of this story is Mald claimed that after he went "viral" on LSF twitch made the software and game development category a month after.

The post that went "viral" came out on May 22th 2021 and the category for game development and software came out on September 2nd 2021. So that category came out about 4 months later and not one month like Mald claimed.

I just wanna add something I remembered. I have no proof/receipts of it but here we go

This lines up with Pippa's post about it being a bit before the newest Hardcore realms release (Late October vs 21st Nov HC release). It lines up with what Pippa said about him butting heads over mechanics.

Two clips from late October 2024 where Mald talks about some drama that happened in his guild.

Sorry I haven't learned how to archive yet, cut me some fucking slack for now while I wrap my head around this shit. The video hurts to watch from the sheer autism and cringe, but his voice is there.

i in no way condone gooners grooming minors or seek to defend him but this happened 15 years ago, the pooner is likely in their mid 30s and conitnuing to push this thread of drama undermines the entire concept of maldy being a lolcow

its grasping at straws and conjecturing what heppened rather than pursuing evident dumbassery on his part

I just remembered today the first short I've seen of him that made me think "This guy has either no idea what hes talking about or he is intentionally misleading people". It's this one about how much it costs Twitch for his stream alone:
Twitch Costs [H_sNcbXj5A0].png

Sure Twitch might also pay the same price as everyone else, but this at best scratching the surface.
He either doesn't understand how this works at all, or he is trying to suck off Twitch to. To be in good standing, I guess?

So what he's saying is that twitch should ban his ass as he's clearly a huge bleedout on the company? I'm sure his analysis is 100% correct and he's not missing anything important that would make him look like a megaretard so that's the only conclusion that could be drawn.

That is a great find, thank you.

Not to go into too autistic detail, but his strat is dumb and doesn't account for mechanics in the fight itself.
For his 1:47ish explanation. So you get two pools at two random players. They drop them off, usually one on the outside and one on the inside of the ring (This is just to make identifying groups easier). The boss does a Nova mechanic, and you dodge this by popping the pools and flying over the expanding nova. This inflicts damage on the players. This has a secondary mechanic, where for each player under a certain amount in each pool, she will place a raidwide stacking dot. This is bad, and puts extra strain on healers.

The normal way to do this is to split your raid beforehand into in and out groups, with a certain amount of players in each pool to soak these dots. Blizzard surprisingly has a knack for designing raid encounters at this point, and used forethought to decide that each player can only contribute to one soak every time the mechanic comes out. So overlapping pools like Jason suggests doubles the raid damage taken without actually helping soak more dots. If anything it creates more risk of overlapping them poorly, so the popper of the second pool might be flung away before they can pop their pool, which is a raidwipe (Novas hitting the pools is a wipe).

His complaint about the tank swap is dumb, just taunt sooner and the problem is solved. Its only half a bug too, I think its more something of how the game engine works. Usually when you taunt an NPC casting a spell, they'll finish casting on their current target before swapping and attacking you. So you have its attention, its just locked in its prior target as the recipient of the spell. For tank mechanics, some of them are based around quickly tauntswapping while they're casting a spell/ability, and these have a special exception where they can change their spell target midcast. However, if you taunt at the very last moment, it still registers the other tank as the target of the spell. So Maldy just needs to git gud.

For his last point, parses are a meme. The way to get a good parse is to completely ignore all mechanics and tunnel the boss. Tank parses are even more wonk because it usually means you're letting your poor offtank suffer so you can dump all your rage into Mauls.

I don't get it. The GM documentation clearly states:
In GameMaker you have objects and you have instances. Objects are essentially the base template for an instance, and as such are never present in a room directly... Only instances of the object are placed in the room.
So how can he delete an object? I guess he messed up with the wording (again).
I don't know anything about his project, this engine and its language, so maybe what I'm about to suggest is wrong, but my guess is he could have avoided this by simply managing view and model separately, because it sounds like he wanted to access data that technically needs to be persistent, but for some reason only can be accessed when it's in the frame.

At this point I just wish for a GM dev doing a code review, I can't say if I'm too incometent to say anything or Jason is plain retarded.

Maybe I'm retarded since I don't use GameMaker but wouldn't it make more sense to have a the damage calculated by taking a random value in a pre-determined range for said attack? Perhaps I'm thinking of this at too high of a level, I don't know what his model looks like or how it works internally but having to access a value in object B to determine something in object A just seems a little convoluted.

Youre tanking your career by posting on the chud nazi site. I respect you a lot for coming here and your stance on freeze peach, but all it takes is one influential tranny to catch a whiff of this and you'll be unpersoned at the speed of light.
This is sound advice, of course.

For myself, I don't post or send an email or send a text that I am not comfortable with it being on the front page of the New York Times. Furthermore, I am a terrible liar--I am the absolute worst--but I am pretty good at telling the truth. So I try to play to my strengths.

The advice is quite well-taken, nonetheless, absolutely.

Hello! I have at least one question, it can be answered with a yes, no, and decline if need be, but is Kronos, Jason’s admin who is supposedly a lawyer representing him in this DMCA case?
It does not seem so, no, and he apparently indicated to me he is not. But I have no personal knowledge of their communications with one another.

Being a tourist to this thread, prompted by its announcement in our Community Happenings bulletin, I must disagree with this statement specifically: rights are only relevant as they are exercised. To have your rights curbed by something as ephemeral as social pressure, especially in a setting that recognizes the occasional friction between healthy exercise of one’s rights and the social norms, is simply self-defeating for anyone to whom those rights are held with anything but contempt.
I have the right to say to my SO that she looks ugly. It is a lie. But I don't think I ought to say it--usually. I don't believe it is true for starters., and I don't like defending a position I don't believe in. How sticky? But on occasion I might say it if the comedic timing is perfect.

I suspect, however, you and I agree much, much more than we disagree on this subject.

Hey Mario, we probably don't agree with everything you say as well, but we also hold dear the right of the people to communicate freely. Do you know about the 10th Circuit ruling that posting the text of a DMCA takedown request, may be contributory copyright infringement?
Actually I don't know that opinion, but it makes intuitive, common sense--for me anyhow. Depends on what material is in the takedown request, no? And for what use is the publication? Still do a fair use analysis. Like if the use is not transformative, then yeah, you're probably gonna have a problem.

Hello @Mario Cerame! Nice to see you back and answering questions. I was checking the comments of the recent "Content Nuke" video and saw you in there.
1739480618136.png
You may already know this after your revisit, but the source of the video is more or less entirely this thread, and mostly the OP. The guy is practically just reading it in video form. Kind of sloppily, if you ask me personally.

With this in mind as well as the knowledge that both Jason and the alleged victim have gone on record stating nothing untoward happened, would you have any insights about the legal ramifications of Jason trying to sue for something like defamation over this video or ones like it?

Also as a side note, etiquette here where you're replying to a bunch of people is to group it all into one big post instead of many individual posts. That said, I doubt anyone is going to get to upset considering you're taking the time to visit our dank and moldy corner of the internet to provide this interesting info.

I successfully represented a codefendent in the Alex Jones case and I live in Connecticut, I was less than 10 miles from Newtown when it happened, and judges specifically told me not to do the case. I have been yelled at by very important people in open court. I told the state judges that CT RPC 8.4(7) was unconstitutional and if they adopted it, it would be successfully challenged as unconstitutional, which they did, and now I am in Cerame v. Slack. Is this the true last straw?
