Minecraft

Doesn't DOOM still cost money? Isn't it technically pirating by putting it in a mod?
It uses an open-source port of DOOM and the WAD for the shareware version, so it's not really piracy. The files also aren't bundled with the mod, but instead are downloaded from SourceForge and Doomworld (lol) respectively.
the road to hell is paved with good intentions.png
Very fun that this mod casually downloads a random jar off the internet and runs it, but let's be real all Minecraft mods are just Java code. They can do anything they want to your computer, as seen when innumerable children infected their computers with RATs by downloading "working hypixel skyblock cheat 2024". Time truly is a flat circle.

yea thats fuckin deranged lmao

I know I already sperged for modpacks here, but I just got back into minecraft and a big issue I came across was having to skullfuck myself mining stone/dirt endlessly for building materials/terraform. Of course thats half the fun, but is there any good mods/modpacks anyone recommends? The Tekkit(?) quarry appeals to me, as I believe you still have to fuel it/do some setup, but I would like a recent version so I could run something like MineColonies aswell.

That particular doom port for Java is barely functional, it's a tech demo as the dev stated. The dev also has a high opinion of himself and refuses to count any DOOM port that uses Java as Java Doom.
me and a few others played some retarded ass modpack with these dwellers and we just ran around as we got teleported screaming shit like "OH GOD, THEY FUCKING TOOK HIM!!!"
Even trash can be fun with friends, maybe one day I'll experience that again.

Not to mention the multiple breaches on Curseforge when someone added malware to a jar and said jar was redistributed on certain modpacks (mostly Luna Pixel because of course it would be) without people knowing. I praise Modrinth to doing Curseforge's job and creating a solution, but let's be honest this will happen again because Curseforge is too lazy to implement anti-virus scanners and will continue to rake in the money.

At this point every "big" tech mod has some sort of miner/quarry system. Which MC version specifically are you interested in? There's a few miscellaneous mods if you don't want to fuck with big tech mods, Building Gadgets by the famous Direwolf and the Construction Wand mod come to mind. If you use Fabric there's Axiom but I can't speak much for it, I don't use Fabric.

So, my friends and I tested our WIP modpack that had Create as the main mod and we quickly found out that the mod is for massive autismos. However I am still impressed at how cool shit looks and how the in game tutorials are done. Took us one hour to figure out and build a basic process for metal crushing in creative. We could not figure out a process on how to wash the crushed ore however.
We decided to abandon Create and go back to the ol reliable Mekanism + Refined storage.
I am also very impressed on how Rubidium makes minecraft run at 800-1000 fps. I have no idea what kind of magic it's doing but holy shit.

Really? Create I found to be one of the easiest tech mods. Washing ore is simple assuming the ore can be washed (check JEI/REI). Make a simple windmill, connect it with shafts and maybe a gearbox to a fan, put a water source (not running water) down in front of the fan, throw the item in front and make sure it doesn't get blown away (place a block down to block it), and wait. Done. I also recommend Embeddium over Rubidium personally, it's more developed and has more features such as transparent face sorting, better mod compatibility, and Rubidium addons work (from what I tried) with Embeddium.
I just discovered 1.20.1's "Industrial Village." Is this any good? It looks like it to me.
It wont let me edit so im gonna doublepost lololol!

Heres the link:

Never used it, never even heard of it. Looks neat though, let me check...
>Ad Astra
Will never understand why people play this mod. It's more barren then Galaticicraft with less addons that flesh it out.
>Advanced Mining Dimension
Based.
>Armourer's Workshop
Hell yeah. Anyway, skimming through the mods, it looks like a decent modpack devoid of bullshit. I'm not even a techfag and this looks appealing.

We can visualize all the steps. It's the execution that we had issues with.
Ore into chest > Chest drops ore onto conveyor > Conveyor into crusher > Crusher drops onto another conveyor > Conveyor to washing > Storage
The issue with the washing step was that either the items moved out of the way because conveyor, or if we placed a depot in front of the fan, we had no way to pick up the items only once they were washed. We tried setting up a mechanical arm with filters on the output side (I don't recall what the block was called) like the in game tutorial explains but it just didn't give a fuck about the filter and brought unwashed ore anyway.
There is probably a smarter way to do this but idk at this point.
Anyway, the bigger issue is connecting all the mechanical shit to the generator. Conveyors, fan, the crusher and stuff. Weird contraptions have been made so the conveyors could run up to the crusher. It could very well be that we are literally playing it wrong or are just dumb, but it was tedious to figure out how to connect something in a decent way.

Brass funnel with a filter set to whitelist the washed ore.

Uhh...I think I can visualize it.

Place a funnel, set a filter, the item will stay there until it's washed. Also, depots are mostly used to have an item(s) go onto another belt above it so you can separate items from a line in case one items needs to be smelted while another items needs to be washed.
Brass funnel with a filter set to whitelist the washed ore.
To be more specific, there's a slot on top of the funnel which you place an item to filter, place the desired item there and then only that item will go into the funnel. There's also the item called the filter that goes into the filter slot so you can allow multiple types of items (in this case the washed ore products) to go into a funnel.
>Make filter
>Set items in the filter item
>Put filter in filter slot of funnel
>Items will only go in funnel when washed

Doesn't work like that:

You can use it to put items into filtered funnels on opposite side belts, among other things like auto-feeding burners. Emphasis on the "feeding." Adorable little fuckers.

Can you describe your setup more? What generator are you using and is it producing enough power? Are you using gearboxes (which are a Godsend)? You can use the depot like I mentioned to move items up and down belts easily. Ejectors are also fun, they launch the items. Later you can just use trains to quickly do tons of work that would take usual setups much longer, plus they're far less laggy...fuck me it really is like Factorio, no wonder I understand the mod so easily compared to even mods like Refined Storage. Like any mod, it takes time to learn, you're not going to instantly do everything perfectly. I recommend when you have free time fucking around in a creative world and learning what does what.

We were using the recipe-less burner from an addon from create, also experimented with others. Power is not the issue, what we didn't like is how tedious it felt to connect shit to power, as it was a spam of gearboxes and sometimes the things to invert the mechanical rotation, to make the conveyors go the correct way.

That's exactly what I did and also what the tutorial explains and it didn't work, so I must have done something wrong somewhere lmao

I'll give it another try I guess, but again, my main problem is I don't like how the power transmission works. Or I am retarded (likely)
I would have sent a screenshot of the shitshow we made but I nuked the world after that session.

Shame no one really uses this site. Could've been fantastic, even if it was made by a obnoxious tranny. But nope, most reviews are outdated or there are too few/none at all.

Now don't let me tell you what you should or shouldn't use, but I really don't recommend using addons of any mod before you get the hang of the main mod. It's a recipe for disaster as addons can not function as intended if Create changes something in its code. Speaking of which...

How old was the tutorial? What version? Create has gone under several updates so something a year old may be heavily outdated.

I haven't played Create in a while but I'm almost certain there's an easy way to this, I forget how. Probably something to do with not overthinking things, less is more and all that. Also as I mention before, definitely consider making trains. Trains...autism...yeah, but can make bulk work simple.

Nah, even Create takes some time to get used to, you're not retarded. I mean, who exactly becomes an expert in anything when they first try something? Prodigies of anything are a fraction of a fraction of people who have ever existed. Don't force yourself to learn it, have it come naturally and when needed, or else you'll burn yourself out before you even understand it.

The in game one. The one where you press w on the block in inventory and it shows a little animation of how you can use the block. Do note that I am on 1.16.5 with create 0.32. I haven´t looked at any online tutorial because I can't stand minecraft youtubers the ingame one seemed to suffice.

Probably that lmao

Trying to see if I can get rid of the torches on the "island", put some jack-o-lantern's in trees and made some shrubs to get hidden lighting. Hopefully this stops mob spawns.
Beautiful stuff, I know you're doing vanilla but Torchmaster is a good mod for hidden lighting and preventing mob spawns, just for future reference. The first first torch that comes to mind prevents mob spawns in a huge radius, you can place it underground and hide it. The second one that I like is the Feral Torch that places invisible light sources around a large radius that you can also place underground to hide it.

Remember this?

Well, it has been solved.

This was a pirated copy of Minecraft that came with a world that somehow glitched into Deadsk1nmask's world. In the original Minecraft forum thread one of the first replies explained it, and that user was still active, was contacted, and managed to locate the original world on a hard drive and sent it.

I must be retarded, but how do you install Minecraft in the modern day? I don't want to bite the bullet and get an Outlook account, but the fucking launcher is forcing me at gunpoint to do so. Why is Microsoft this goddamn stupid with their business decisions? I wanted to play Minecraft heavily modded from its currently pozzed appearance. I pray for the day Pajeet and Rajeet make Microsoft stop making OSs and instead shitty smartphones.
