Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

Overall I'm having fun, though. Honestly, my biggest issue are the damn cutscenes.

With this, and the long ass, mandatory tutorials, I agree with you. Getting into Sun though, I did enjoy the experience, and I did appreciate how they handled the Legendary this time around, something that's pissed me off to no end since BW, and esperically with BW and ORAS.

I miss the days of Gen 1 and 2 where you could opt to skip the fucking capture tutorial. Honestly, it is so hard to put a yes/no box in there, or at least give us the option by asking us at the beginning if we've played any of the previous installations?

Team Skull is kinda annoying but they definitely grew on me.

I mean, they're just regular thugs. They don't want to make the world more habitable for Wingull, they don't want do destroy time, they don't want to remake reality in order to make it more fabulous.

They're just failiures who want to steal bus stops and be dicks. It's like team Rocket without the funding or expertise.

I mean, I know they ended up working for the L.Ron Hubbard pokemon labs, but other than that it was refreshing.

I prefer Lillie to Hau, though. And I prefer not having to have an HM slave
I finally finished the main story and post-main story. Lillie grew on me once she finally grew a lady pair. I never had HM slaves, really. I always choose the water starter so that takes care of Surf and I tend to have a flying type so that takes care of Fly. At least in the last few games there isn't as much a reliance on having every HM on you at all times.

I suppose that's a way to look at it

To be fair, Sun and Moon are really story-heavy.
It definietly is. Although honestly, I tend to just bumble through the games beating leaders and doing stuff without really paying attention to the plot. In this case because there were so many cut scenes and exposition I found myself just button mashing A to get things going since I knew in about 100 steps I'd be doing the same thing.

I did appreciate how they handled the Legendary this time around,
They did a great job with the legendaries. I love Lunala and I think Solgaleo looks pretty awesome too. Usually I only end up really liking one of the legendaries but these two look great and make sense.

Also Nanu is easily my favorite character in this game and one of the top characters in the entire series for me. Seriously. I love him way more than I expected to care for any NPC.

If my mom and sister were successful in purchasing my 3DS and Pokemon Moon game on the 26th, I should have my game by tomorrow.

I know I'm gonna be so eager to get my White Vulpix, but it will take time for me to learn about the interfaces with online play. Also, what's the polite way on these types of aqcuirements. Do people just "Give" Pokemon away in exchange for something useless like a common Yungoose, for Example?

Anyway, I'm still sticking with picking Rowlett as my starter, but I also want to get a Popplio as well, since I'm liking Primarina, and will enjoy using the Fairy type like this. And yes, I know with White Ninetails, I'd have two Fairy-Types.

I also want Salazzle since she's the coolest Fire-Type in a long time.

The other two slots will probably be Wild Cards, especially since HM's seem to be a thing of the past. I might fill them in with Pokemon from the 6th Generation, since I skipped that Generation and don't know much about them. Favorites include Klefki and Goomy. I definitely want to train Goomy up.

I looooove Goomy. Such a loveable guy.

I don't know if there's any way you and I could trade but I'll trade you a Popplio for a Rowlet. You can find a ditto semi-early in the game so I'd trade right after it hatches.

The in-game trades are kind of dumb. Like one person wanted a zubat (I think it was) for a Polywhirl.

Heads up- Vulpix/Ninetails are in Sun. Sandrew/Sandslash are in Moon. But again, I have a vulpix and would trade you. You might end up with one from Wonder Trade, as I did.

Yes, I keep being reminded that White Vulpix (which is my baby's name I've given it) is only in Sun. It doesn't matter if you can still acquire it through trading with someone. I thought this was an important aspect of the games in general?

Plus, I've always let the version Mascots decide for me, which is cooler, which I dislike more, Lunala won over Solgaleo this Generation.

I got Moon the day it came out, and have been waiting on a late christmas gift of Pokemon X (I didn't get any new gen Pokemon games since Pokemon White prior to Moon)

I've seen all Pokemon on all islands (thanks to QR code data) but I've only caught 214 or so different ones. My most proud snag was a shiny Jangmo-o, and the fact that I've either raised or traded for all Eeveelutions save for Umbreon.

I got Sun earlier in the month and played up to Pony Island, still trying to beat the Kommo-o trial. I've owned 67 types of Pokemon and seen 187 so far so I have quite a way to go.

The story opportunity to catch the first legendary put a major damper on my playthrough. I'm too lazy to breed Abras for Synchronize, but I'm too autistic to just catch a Pokémon that I'm never going to use anyway with a suboptimal nature. *sigh*

Only had Sun for a day so maybe it's too soon to be sure, but I can see myself replaying this one a lot. Yes the cutscenes drag on a little, but that's small beans compared to all the little conveniences like a shortcut to the pokeball pocket, choosing what to box when the party is full, checking what moves do mid-battle ect.

Finally got my 3DS and Pokemon Moon and guess what? Technology just never fucking works for me.

Its giving me an "The SD Card was removed" error message and I can only hit Home Button.

My other 3DS games work, so whats up with the most important?

I caught and trained up an Aloan Sandshrew (which I have nicknamed, so cleaverly, Snowshrew) and I can say this Pokemon is one of my favorite. Not only is Ice/Steel a BAMF combo, but it isn't weak to a shit ton of other types like what usually happens.

You should've called it Coldsteel.

For the record, Alolan Sandslash gets no more new moves from levelling once it evolves, so be wary.

The Charizard in question really is Japan only right now. The QR code only works with Japanese games, and the GTS and other online services currently don't allow it even though it is legally available. For those wondering the figures in question are all scannable to obtain the Pokemon in the games. Currently the only really notable figures are Charizard(the only non-Alola dex Pokemon in the figure series thusfar), and the three Alola starters, all four of which can be caught in Pokeballs other than the default Pokeball via this method, for those that care about that, so if you see Alola starters not in Pokeballs on the GTS there is a chance they are actually legit.

Pokemon Sun is fucking AWESOME!

Anyways, I have a question; Is it worth having Zygarde on your team? So far I managed to get the 50% Form but it starts out at 30 whereas the rest of my team is currently in the late-40s with my highest being level 51.
