I actually think the shit w/UPN was his 'nigger moment.' I'm picturing that he's in a room with white executives squealing about how they're going to monetize the blacks, saying shit like ITS OUR VISION, and some other shittery.
Has Fox picked up the show, it would still be running today. At least Dilbert didn't go the way of Baby Blues, where the WB infamously refused to air an entire 13-episode season.

I might have missed it if it was posted, but is Scott Adams even syndicated in any papers anymore after all his sperging? Not that newspapers matter at this point, just curious.

Conservatives: We are the true alphas!

Also Conservatives: AHHHH! IT'S A BLACK GUY! RUN AWAY!!!!

And then conservatives wonder why everyone outside of their hugboxes laughs at them and calls them beta cucks. Lol at being afraid of a person just because they're black

PROTIP: If you're under 60 and afraid of black people, stop acting like a boomer and you'll be less of a laughingstock
Monkey lovers always get so mad about the fact the objects of their worship are violent and evil. Yes, niggers scare me, because they're violent subhumans who routinely rape, slaughter, and steal with impunity while "people" like you desperately try to gaslight that they don't. They, and spics, are why I am armed.

Also LOL @ the janny mad people are talking about the subject at hand. What is this, fucking 4chan? Next "she" will be on the Pikamee thread saying you can't shit talk trannies despite it being entirely related to the topic.

So what is it like being such a pussy that you're afraid of black people? See, this is why people laugh at you boomers

So I'm curious here, did Scott Adams ever get to meet John Kricfalusi?

Feels great. Next burn loot murder chimpout, not only will I be hundreds of miles from the packs of braying pavement apes, but I'll be strapped this time around too. If you disagree, move to a monkey hole and stay there, though your kind would never live around your precious shitskins; NIMBY, right?

Ben's Clott Adams strip was funnier than anything in Dilbert in the last 10 years.

Why are you booing me, I'm right!

How brainwashed must you be to simply "trust the science" and coomsume after writing about what goes on the back end for so many years.
For the same reason you can be a specialist in a subject, and every time the "news" media covers it, they're completely wrong, and you start seething and frothing, but then the instant the same "news" outlet covers some other issue where you agree with them, they're completely fair and balanced.

It's just simply human nature. You do it. I do it. Everybody does it. And we're all bozos on this bus.

Humans like to think of ourselves as innately rational. This is bullshit. We are just goddamn animals capable of very infrequent rationality. Usually we just act according to our base instincts. Just the ability to think rationally like 5% of the time has given us dominance of the planet. That's how powerful having that ability is.

But mainly we're grunting apes and we chimp out a lot more than we act rationally.

Absolutely true. I was listening to an audiobook recently called "You might be a Zombie" which is basically just a load of interesting random facts. Good to dip into and out of, so good for travel. They had a section where they said there are studies that show if you read something you agree with, you get a dopamine hit. It's true, I actually just got one from reading your post because I agree with it, I can tell. It felt good.

Gary Larson for absurdist humor that never tried to have a deeper message. Berke Breathed for wry social commentary from the left that somehow managed to not be self-righteous or vicious. Gary Trudeau for being everything Breathed wasn't, including refusing to retire when he should have (immediately), and cursing the papers with smug, self-righteous shitlibbery before shitlib was a word. Bil Keane for saccharine levels of smarminess that gave you diabetes just by reading it, and never learning how to draw a car or tell a joke. Cathy Guisewhite for expressing the neuroses of a single woman who'd bought into careerist feminism, but couldn't admit it was failing her, and also not being funny because she's a woman. And Bill Amend, because Foxtrot was really the last truly funny strip to hit the papers before the internet destroyed the papers.

Those are the ones off the top of my head.
I don't know, I remember being on Comics Curmudgeon before this site and I'm sure that someone was on CWCki Forums that was there also...I had heard of Chris before but it wasn't until Slylock Fox I went down the rabbit hole.

Family Circus had its moments, including the rare times they mentioned something kind-of modern (a Wii reference?!) or some other oddity (a lovingly rendered General Cinemas facade, which haven't really been around in decades but rare detail on the backgrounds).

Reading up on it, it looks like it syndicate has dropped it permanently and probably will end in mid-March. I'm sure that Adams reserves some rights and not let it go to the corporate brand house forever--Jim Davis sold Paws, Inc. (the Garfield company) to Viacom in 2019.

I do want to see a proper sendoff, but I don't think he'd do something sappy (finds a girlfriend that reintroduces him to enjoying life again and giving him a happy ending), edgy (suicide and/or mass shooting), or something extremely autistic (whole plot reference to Neon Genesis Evangelion/End of Evangelion that incorporates both, even as visions). Probably just an extremely boring strip that's a thinly-veiled "fuck you" to his publishers.

Dilbert and Family guy debuted around the same time (1999) and Fox killed Family Guy

Animated shows aimed at adults were a novelty back then, and the office humor is only partially relatable to most

Ironically, Scott Adams says basically everything you just did, Gell-Mann amnesia, humans aren't rational and only act on the strongest animalistic urge at that moment, etc. But Scott believes he has the humility to know that about himself when others can't admit it, even as he falls into all the cognitive dissonance traps he decries, like seeing everything as evidence of the simulation, not being able to admit he's wrong, believing in copes to salvage his worldview and on and on
