Well isn't that odd, the unique and total downloads haven't increased since the mod has been put back up. Guess the Nexus trannies have a way to shadow limit a mod's popularity.

I almost forgot how insanely good the side and faction quests in Oblivion are. By far the best side quests in the series.
honestly the soule music by itself is enough to keep me immersed in the game even if the remake isn't perfect. it's wild how much of an effect the sound can have, at least for me. i was actually thinking they weren't going to use it because of the """controversy""".

They also banned the original creator still and in a sense kinda just STOLE his work. Its very MINOR code work of course, but still. Banned him, won't allow his original work, but allows a copy. All because it seems he left a snide comment or something.

Has nexus cucks ever reversed a decision like this before? Almost feels like it was worth Bethesda pozing the game just to see the tranny wranglers at nexus sweat for once
looks like a first time, especially with the growing anti-tranny janny sentiment as @Hooked on phobics pointed out.

In an internet slapfight has calling someone a niggerfaggot ever gotten them to change their ways? I'm going to answer for you: no it hasn't. Shaming people for their taste only works if they have low self-esteem or if they hold you in high esteem. Otherwise telling people what they should or shouldn't like, eat, or do just makes you look like a chastising busybody (or in @Agent of Z.O.G.'s case, someone who should take antidepressants). All you will ever do is cause them to double down and entrench themselves in their own erroneous beliefs.
I don't think you'll change your ways because your shit taste seems to be terminal, I do it for the love of the Posting Game.

Do we have any indication that outer wilds 2 won't flop? Obsidian hardly made anything of note post new vegas and both their attempts at third person action rpgs bombed (albeit in different ways).
Even if it doesn't flop, they've stated that moving forward they'll be focusing entirely on Gamepass-tier games, so they've committed to walking the tight roap of releasing underwhelming titles until one of them is so bad, it sinks them. They've lost their ambition so they might as well be dead, even if they remain stay in business.

To make a custom shader model in Unity, you just make a new shader and write your code. To make a custom shading model in Unreal you first need the 150gb engine source code and then need to do this: https://medium.com/@solaslin/learni...custom-shading-model-in-ue4-22-1-775bccdb9ffb

Same applies if you want any custom post processing beyond extremely basic shader graph post processing, so anything that uses a render target, except that Epic keeps changing their engine code with each update and that means a complete change in how you implement these kind of changes, all of which is undocumented in a massive codebase.

It is very much the engine that is the problem, if you actually knew anything instead of just armchair smugposting about how everyone else is wrong you might recognize that.

Studios use Unreal because its cheap, all the jeets know it, and it makes 'photoreal' graphics out of the box
This is just a roundabout way of saying that it's the developers, not the engine, that's the problem. It's evident you can get beautiful games out of Unreal. I don't care how difficult it is. If Unreal disappeared tomorrow all the incompetent devs would just move onto the next engine doing the bare minimum, and the same problems would persist.

It's doubly ironic that you use Unity as an example when that too is often said as looking the same in every game.

I think also the steam forums was also a big part. I know people here think its an autistic cesspit, but there was PLENTY of threads on this, and just about every one, out of dozens of threads remotely MENTIONING body type would include links to degmods, laxmods, or based mods holding the mod. Basically I think they were trying to ASTROTURF it so the mod was unmentionable / obscure, but the striesand effect hit HARD, and every thread that so much as complained "why is there 25 body type threads!!!" would get a link to the bodytype mod, and people would shit talk nexus lol. One guy I mentioned earlier even tried scaring everyone saying it was a virus, that it would lead to bans on other social media, yada yada yada, try to scare with the reddit boogeyman basically, and NOBODY gave a shit.

Notably too, few people fell for the bait into calling the faggots faggots and getting banned, so the mod links just KEPT proliferating. I think this is lowkey a huge thing, people in threads WILL try to bait you into saying something spicy and getting banned, because this happens enough, and its a left wing hugbox. This has been a strategy to keep the steam forums more left even if moderation isn't necessarily, I've seen it with kingdom come, concord, vielguard, dustborn, ect, but I think people are growing wise to it.

The name "Body type selector" is deliberately obscure though. Even though they've finally conceded and allowed it, they don't want people to find it easy.

Edit: On the home page for Oblivion Remastered, someone is spamming a bunch of tranny images lol.

trump's america now, trannies

Dear lord these models are horrendous looking. Watching a stream and its nothing but goofy face after goofy face. Oblivion already had ugly character models, but at least there was a cohesion with the ugly (bigs eyes, potato heads). These feel like an AI was fed them.

Don't bother with the Oblivion Remasturd crowd, as we've seen in this very thread they don't know how to even install a mod or two for the original
I'm usually receptive to remasters, but this just doesn't seem really necessary. The original client on Steam is still perfectly playable out of box in modern 16:9 resolutions. At most, just needs a few minor built in touches like Steamworks integration (workshop/achievements ect), fix autosaves, display tweaks, borderless window mode option, utilization of 4gb of RAM (if kept as a 32bit client), and controller support. All of which outside of Steamworks are individual mods already made.

its that, but also collectively not falling for their BS tactics.

Like to analyze this, ONE, the mods were INSTANTLY backed up, then backed up then backup, ect. People had them, they weren't going back in the bottle. This is key because Nexus controls a lot, and basedmods is kinda if you know, you know, but normies dont. So if its already backed up, nexus lost its power, because they RELY on people adding a mod, getting it removed, and saying "well shucks" and giving the fuck up.

Two, the tactic of acting with SUPREME faggotry until someone says "stfu retard" in steam forums wasn't working so well. Infact I was seeing more leftists getting banned, but this is LITERALLY a key strategy they have on steam forums, be obnoxious, dense, and passive aggressive just PRAYING someone gets hostile and gets banned. And this strategy wasn't working. This usually goes on for like a week when a cringe or controversial game happens, and bans just about anyone talking sense, or has in the past.

Three proliferation was infectious. They rely on mods to be HARD TO FIND, but it arguably was hard NOT to bump into a link to the mod. And it all just made nexus look like a bunch of assholes, along with anyone supporting it. And steam is like it or not the most "common man" area. EVERYONE has steam, EVERYONE, has forums, ect. And so they normally rely on astroturfing this to keep decent out, but decent was so widespread, civil, and provided links, there was no closing the box.

Maybe its kinda an autistic breakdown, but it was nice seeing that defense get totally fucked.

I think if its made common knowledge theres backup sites to even more people, and people can hold their tongue a little on steam forums, these kinda wins might keep happening.

The lipsyncing is also absolutely horrifying. Not even kidding when I say I prefer the original NPCs.

I started with Skyrim and i still have fond memories of it, but after the first playthrough i couldnt pick it up again, not even to try out the DLC's, i tried to install mods just to put 3 things but i needed like 9999999999999 other shit to make them work, safe to say i spend more time modding than playing and dropped it again, recent this year i started playing morrowind and im having a blast with it, is everything i wanted skyrim to be, the melee combat is rather scuffed with the lack of feedback but i got used to it pretty quickly, after i finish it, i want to try oblivion (the original)
If you haven't played Daggerfall yet I would absolutely recommend playing that at some point. I think it should take precedence over any other Elder Scrolls game since I think it's the masterpiece of the series. It's easily the most large and detailed Elder Scrolls game in a way that really works for my taste, just like Morrowind it's much more of an RPG than Oblivion and Skyrim are. There's loads of great mods that are easy to install, Daggerfall Unity is a must have for sure. I think most people who avoid Daggerfall because it's an older game would be surprised how fun it actually is to play if they gave it an honest try, especially Daggerfall Unity. The biggest issue people have with it are the dungeons being a little too chaotic at times to say the least. Sometimes a dungeon can get you stuck and ruin your game but as long as you save before going into one it's not really a problem, especially since dungeon designs aren't guaranteed to be the same.
